Akane Tendo is the youngest of [Soun Tendo](https://anilist.co/character/9215/Soun-Tendo)'s three daughters and one of the heirs to the Anything Goes School of Martial Arts.

While Akane is generally shown as compassionate and helpful towards anyone in trouble, she's also a vulnerable, stubborn, relentless, and very short-tempered girl. She frequently becomes angry and jealous, and is apt to hit Ranma, often a reaction to Ranma's own bad traits like his smart mouth and insensitivity, but also due to rampant paranoia and willingness to generally believe the worst of the situations she finds him in. Despite her temper, Akane has a more prominent gentle side. She has come to the aid of her rivals, even consistently feeling compassion towards or helping people who try to make her life miserable. Most of her flaws can be attributed to insecurities about her own attractiveness, skill, or lack of traditionally feminine talents.

Cologne is the great-grandmother of Shampoo. She accompanies Shampoo on her return to Japan, and opens the Cat Café in Furinkan. She is a contemporary of Happosai, and well over one hundred years old. She calls Ranma "bride-groom" and "son-in-law" due to her attempts to have him marry Shampoo, and just to watch him become enraged. She is a grand master of martial arts, and occasionally teaches Ranma and his rivals new techniques. She gets around by pogoing on a gnarled wooden staff that she sometimes uses as a weapon.  She is the grand master of the Chinese Amazon martial arts, allowing her to manipulate water and ice, create whirlwinds using an opponent's aura against them, shatter inanimate objects with a simple touch, and touch pressure points to make a person feel like they are burning with even the slightest amount of heat. The "crow princess". A humanoid female from an alien race of crow tengu, she is destined to mate with the man that awakens her from her slumber with a kiss. Unfortunately for her, that person turns out to be Ataru. Although she has no real desire to sleep with him, for the sake of her race, she goes to great lengths in an attempt to turn the perverted letch into a man worthy of fathering her children while fighting off both Lum and Shinobu. Her father, apparently, was Yoshitsune Minamoto, one of the legendary figures of Japanese history, whom Kurama considers to be her ideal man. Future efforts to find a husband also failed due to some kind of flaw. Mendou was too similar to Ataru, Ryuunosuke was actually a girl, and Rei turned into a hideous ushitora creature. It did not help matters that all of the individuals she sought out to be her mate happened to live in the same area as Ataru, who still believed himself to be the one to father her children.

Jariten, known to everyone as "Ten" is Lum's little cousin. Ten is a bratty and smart-mouthed alien toddler. Like all oni, Ten has powers of his own. He can fly and breathe fire. But he is an inexperienced child so his flying is awkward and slow, and his fire breathing isn't always effective.  Ten is a child, but sure doesn't act his age. He has a certain level of adult intelligence which is quite shocking for someone still in diapers. One result of being precocious is that Ten only has eyes for older women. Yet Ten is still essentially a child and quite naive. Around women he is usually cute and diminutive. When he's near men he's his usual self. Loud, pesky and often aggressive.  Ten came to earth to meet Lum's new husband but was disappointed at what he found. From the moment they've met, Ataru and Ten have been at each other's throats. The young Prince of Silverland, Sapphire is in reality a girl, but must pretend to be a boy in order to inherit the throne and prevent the evil Duke Duralumon from taking power. Her personality is more refined than tomboyish, but she's good with a sword and at night fights crime as the masked Phantom Knight. She's good-hearted, has a strong sense of justice and is competent and level-headed as well. Although most of her time is spent as Prince Sapphire, later in the series she is able to go about as a girl (wearing a blonde wig) in the persona of the Princess, Prince Sapphire's sister. In this way she is able to court Prince Frank.

The second daughter of Soun Tendo. The most important thing to her is money and she'd do anything to achieve it, including blackmailing her own family members. In some stories, she plays an important role in trying to extort money or placing bets just for her own amusement.  She has a sarcastic, materialistic, egoistic, manipulative, sadistic and completely amoral attitude that is a sharp contrast to her older sister.  She can in fact, be seen as the most intelligent character in both manga and anime.
