Ayamine Shuukaku is Ayamine Kei's father and was the mentor and a father figure for Sagiri Naoya.

A Lieutenant-General in the IJA, Ayamine took part in the Gwangju Operation in South-Western Korea in 1998, which would later be known as the Gwangju Tragedy. 

~!In the Gwangju Operation, General Ayamine prioritized the evacuation of civilians instead of military targets. This caused heavy losses for the UN forces and the loss of a base, but saved many lives of civilians. This led to him being charged with desertion, a controversial decision.!~
