Yukinari Ookido is a Pokémon Professor and a major supporting character of the Pocket Monsters anime who lives and works at his research lab in Masara Town. He appears semi-regularly to give Satoshi advice to help him achieve his goal of becoming the greatest Pokémon Master.

D's constant companion is his talking left hand, sometimes reffered to as the Countenanced Carbuncle. It is revealed that this is some sort of symbiotic entity which has taken up residence in D's hand, although why he has done so is not clear. The hand (or 'Lefty' as fans have affectionately termed him) appears to have supernatural powers independent from his host, and occasionally uses them to help D. Constable Bully – a cockney bulldog, as his name implies – is Inspector Dix's partner, although he would rather be playing darts at the pub or enjoying a Sunday roast at his mum's house than trekking across the globe. A good-hearted fellow at his core, Bully is subject to the whims of the demanding Inspector Dix, and his general clumsiness and tendency to get travel-sick often strain the inspector's patience to the breaking point.

The Gentleman comes up to Ash and commends his Butterfree. He proposes a trade between his Raticate and Ash's Butterfree. Later Ash finds the Gentleman, and requests that the trade be reversed.

She is Kiyomi's grandmother. The grandmother was first seen grinding herbs at the herbal shop. When Satoshi and his friends requested to buy some Potions and Antidotes, she offered them snake root that cures insomnia and grow hair on the nose and tongue. She was then scolded by her granddaughter.
