Wakasa is a merman who gets saved by a young man called Tatsumi, who later ends up living in Tatsumi's bathtub.

One of Zen's close Aides. He was first introduced to Zen when he was 17 by Zen's brother, the first prince, Izana. Mitsuhide is one with an outgoing and honest personality. He shares a close relationship with Zen and can often be seen having a friendly banter with each other. He was once described as 'protective' by Kiki, another close aide, towards Zen.

As the son of a buddhist priest, he tends to drone on when giving lectures. While he may seem overly serious, and perhaps a bit moody, he becomes slightly vulnerable when unexpected incidents occur. He carries out captivating performances with the flow of his mellow singing voice.

At first he appears quiet and almost shy, even having been described as a “quiet glasses guy” by fellow AKATSUKI member Kuro. However, when he has passion towards something, he becomes incredibly determined. Keito is incredibly serious, and takes any jobs he is given very seriously. Even if they make him uncomfortable or confused, he will fulfill a job to the best of his abilities. This is what helps make him a talented leader for both AKATSUKI and the Archery Club.

Keito appears to have a fondness for traditional Japanese culture, having been raised in a Buddhist temple. He acts as an idealized Japanese man- strict on rules, smart, and serious- and is the leader of the academy’s traditional-based unit. Despite that, he’s able to acknowledge that AKATSUKI will occasionally need to break from their traditional roots, as “traditional” comes across as “stiff” to many, limiting their fans.

A 3rd year at Binan High School. He does everything at his own pace and is a master of being a sloth. Atsushi, despite having the opposite personality, is a good friend such that they call each other "Atsushi" and "Enchan". He's a kid that can get the job done when put to the test, but the will to do something is hard to come by.

While the saber itself isn't very special - it's just a regular mass-produced item - he wields it with great care. Despite looking thin, he's quite the big eater. As a warrior, he does not consume alcohol. He knows exactly where to go when he wants to eat by himself.

Kyouji is a stoic former convenience store clerk from a well-established family, which consists of his father, his older brother, his younger brother, and Kyouji himself. After failing multiple times at the entrance exam for his desired college, a harsh argument broke out between Kyouji and his father (and later his older brother) ended with Kyouji packing his suitcase and leaving home. He vowed that he'll become a successful man in his life without his family's name.

Kyouji is clumsy with words, but he has good intentions and genuinely loves the other members of Beit. When they shower him with compliments, he gets embarrassed and doesn’t know what to say back, but he returns those feelings wholeheartedly and will voice them back if the atmosphere is right.

Kyouji detests his family due to them neglecting and verbally abusing him. The only exception is his younger brother, Hotaru, who he still loves and cares for. None of the Beit members have ideal family situations, so they’ve become each others main pillars of support: their own 'Beit family'. Kyouji can’t manage to say no to either Minori or Pierre. Minori knows how to cheer him up whenever Kyouji has moments of self-doubt, and Kyouji knows that Minori relies on him to take care of the things he can’t do. Kyouji loves household appliances.

He is very bright and gets good grades, but unfortunately tends to say exactly what's on his mind. His dream for the future is to be a photographer of nudes and thinks unsavory thoughts no matter when and where. He is an enthusiastic fan of the gravure idol and model HINA. He often argues with his childhood friend Hinako Hasegawa.

A boy member of CGS, and the leader of the boys until Orga joined. While physically and intellectually gifted, his impulsiveness renders him somewhat unlikable. Unhappy at having his position usurped by Orga, he begins to nurture a grudge.

The leader of the "Body Moles," a group of troublemakers who constantly break the rules. His skill at wielding thymia is the best out of everyone on the Mud Whale. He has a strong desire to see a world beyond the Mud Whale.

The series' main character, an experienced silver ranked adventurer who only concerns himself with hunting goblins. The jobs he takes merely involve goblins and he takes no interest in others. His appearance is not as glamorous or elegant due to using equipment that would seem lacking for an adventurer of his rank. He wears a gray suit of grubby leather armor, with chainmail underneath, a small buckler shield with a sharpened rim attached on his left forearm. His weapon is a sword of strange length, of cheap quality, which he carries in a makeshift scabbard, allowing him to place swords of any shape he salvages. Due to the excellent sense of smell goblins possess, Goblin Slayer has a habit of neglecting the cleanliness of his armor, as clean equipment would reek of metal, which would immediately alert his foes.

Stoic and calm, he seems not to mind the jeers the other adventurers rebuke him for his appearance which doesn't befit his rank. As he has little regard for matters that don't include goblins, he has difficulty socializing, since he lacks the ability to understand most basic social norms. Nonetheless, reserved as he might be, he does care about others, as evidenced by when he asks Guild Girl which other parties, usually entirely formed by rookies, have accepted goblin slaying quests, in order to judge if they might be able to handle the job or should he lend them a hand.

His style of combat favors more on pragmatism such as setting traps, using their own weapon against the user, and taking whatever advantage that may come. He even uses his own imagination of using a protection spell in order to kill all the goblins in a burning Elven fortress. The most defining trait of his is the hatred of goblins that fuels him and his actions. The reason behind this is how his family, which consisted of his parents and sister, and the entire village he lived in were cruelly massacred by goblins, which made him swear a vendetta against all goblins everywhere.

~!He believes the Goblins come from the Green Moon, his older sister told him so. Since the moon is a desolate place formed entirely by rock, with no grass, trees or water, the goblins turned envious and jealous of what they did not have, which is why they decided to invade the lands of humankind. Townsfolk tend to say that if you turn envious, you become a goblin.!~
