When Ross was an officer of the Earth&#039;s Chicago Police Department an incident with a robot left him crippled and his partner dead. He now uses a cybernetic leg to walk and has a distrust of robots. Ross is later transferred to Mars Police Department where he becomes Naomi Armitage&#039;s new partner.

Decim is the bartender of Quindecim and also the arbiter of floor 15. 

His faction deals with people who have died at the same time. He can create threads and use them to restrict rude customers from moving, or use them to hang things. They are strong enough to stop a person in their tracks and swing them hard against the wall.

He has also worked as a painter and musician under the pseudonym Ben Gash.
