Since then, a black priest of a local church took care of her, and he nurtured her running skills, that she had always used to run from her chasers after the stealing she did for surviving. Thanks to that priest and a meeting with Tome Midou, Jessie starts dedicating herself to athletics, with the intent to becoming Cosmo Beauty. She feels a strong resentment for Akari, who she deem as too weak and unworthy of being the daughter of her idol. She also feels an innate but sporty rivalry towards Ayla Roznovsky.

She was the top student of her class and took the place of Miz Mishtal after the former priestess of water married Fujisawa. Qawool’s servant is Alielle’s twin brother, Palnus. Qawool is also very afraid of insects, which causes her to destroy whatever is around her. Like Alielle, Qawool addresses Makoto Mizuhara as master, because he saved her life. She is also in love with him.  As a minor note, when The Alternative World was released in North America through Pioneer Animation (or Geneon, as it is now called), her name was written as "Qawool" and "Qawoor" on the packaging (the spelling used depended on the volume.) Ostensibly, this was done to make her name sound more native to El-Hazard, since "Qawool" can be hard for English speakers to distinguish from "Kaoru," a very common name in Japan. Hotohori (星宿?), the fourth Emperor of Kōnan, Emperor Cai Pi (彩賁帝, Saihitei?)  has a reputation for his beauty and his narcissism. He is eighteen years old and was born in Eiyou (Rong-Yang), the capital city of the Konan Empire At April 2nd. As one of the Celestial Warriors of Suzaku, he is able to summon a sword; as such he is a powerful swordsman and has been additionally trained in martial arts since childhood. His true name is Seishuku Shu (朱 星宿, Shu Seishuku?)  based on the star Star (星).    Hotohori first hears of the Priestess of Suzaku at a young age and comes to believe that the priestess would become his true love and the one who would love him for himself instead of his title. Upon meeting Miaka, he falls in love with her and becomes willing to do anything for her sake. As such, he becomes a rival to Tamahome for Miaka&#039;s affection, but eventually concedes when he realizes that Miaka will only ever love Tamahome. Hotohori eventually marries a woman Houki, who bears a striking resemblance to Nuriko. He is killed by Nakago during the battle between Konan and Kutō, leaving Houki pregnant with his son Boushin.    Raised with little warmth, Hotohori appears cold, reserved, and harsh, particularly when acting as the Emperor of Konan, but actually shows himself as a warm, peace-loving and gentle person. Known as a responsible ruler and capable of dealing with political affairs, Hotohori often places the well-being of his subjects first and forgets his own needs in the process. However, Hotohori has limited understanding of the world as a result of being raised in a sheltered environment. The childlike goddesses serve Taiitsukun and reside at Mount Taikyoku with her. They are also known as Lai Lai. They can take the appearance of floating orbs and can appear when commanded.   They have healed Miaka and her warriors when it was necessary, also offering to fix Nuriko's perversion (much to his dismay) and Taiitsukun's face (much to her annoyance).    ~!Their other function is to serve as vessels for the spirits of the dead Celestial Warriors, so that they can fight along side their priestess, in which case they take on the appearance of whomever they are inhabited by, and have all of their powers. !~

Miiru is a new freshman at the college Taka, Keisuke, and Tetsuya attend. She decides to join Keisuke's Ancient Chinese Mythology Club, where she sees and reads some of the &quot;Shi Jin Ten Chi Sho&quot;. She believes Keisuke's story about another world inside the book, where his little sister was pulled in and became the Suzaku No Miko. Miiru, however, is the second of the Shitennou working for Tenkou, and has the ability to use blood to control or harm people. She can plant parasites in the blood, or make dolls out of blood and use them as tools for manipulating a person's actions. Miiru is the older sister of Ren, and like her younger brother, was granted her powers by Tenkou and can travel between the two worlds.

Emilie Colleen de Azevedo Brown is an American voice actress. Before moving out of the Los Angeles area, she did several anime voice roles mostly under the names Emily Brown, Mary Cobb and Marie Downing. One of her earliest voice acting roles was Annie Labelle in the 1980s crossover anime hit Robotech when she was 13 years old. 

In 2001, Emilie teamed up with her sister Rachel Coleman to create Signing Time! - an entertaining children's public television and video series that teaches basic American Sign Language (ASL) to children of all abilities. In 1996, Rachel and her husband Aaron discovered that their oldest daughter Leah was deaf. From the beginning, they have found that teaching her 'hearing' peers even a few basic signs builds bonds of friendship and community that every child needs. 

Emilie's first son, Alex - one year younger than Leah - made his first sign at 10 months of age by telling his mom he wanted "milk." Emilie has seen first-hand the communication benefits that ASL offers all children, including miraculous results for children with special needs. 

In addition to being a mom, Emilie is the co-creator, director, and producer of the Signing Time series. After graduating from Brigham Young University in 1996 with a theatre degree, she continued her career in the entertainment industry, doing voiceover work for countless TV and radio commercials, cartoons, CD-ROMs, television shows and major motion pictures. Emilie has been the creative force behind the development of concepts, scripts, film and post-production of over 26 Signing Time! episodes, as well as Baby Signing Time, Practice Time and all other Two Little Hands Productions.
