Another bishop, he convinces Teito to take the examination to enter the priesthood. The training he puts Teito through is vigorous and often involves his 'dolls', life-sized puppets he controls with Zaiphon. One of the 07-Ghosts, he is 'Fest'.  After Teito discovers that Castor and Frau are both one of the Seven Ghosts, Castor decides to wipe away Teito's memories of the incident, because their identities must remain a secret. Frau, however, stops him, telling him that if he takes away Teito's memories of when Frau revealed himself as Zehel, Teito will not remember Mikage's last smile (Frau transformed to save him when Mikage was possessed by Ayanami). Akira Udou was the former leader of the Behemoth Team, once-powerful, D-class Storm Rider organization &quot;Behemoth.&quot; Together with Agito, he was also once a member of the Wind SWAT team. Due to a series of unfortunate events, Akira turns on his former colleague and gains possession of the Fang Regalia until Agito retrieves it with the Kogarasumaru in a challenge. Nicknamed the &quot;Chō Jyū&quot; (超獣, Super Beast, i.e. Behemoth?), Akira is a fearsome opponent and is characterized by a large lion. He is highly skilled in the Bloody Road and was able to evolve the Leviathan Fang attack into a more deadly 'Gigaer Cross'. His elite AT skills and the ability to wield the Fang Regalia proves too much to handle even for Agito, the Fang King himself. In recent chapters, Akira is seen picking up Kazu while the latter was in ball mourning over Spitfire's death. Ohjiro Mihara is Ichiro(Icchan) Mihara's younger stepbrother. He has been involved with Angelic Layer for many years, in a large part because it was what brought him and Icchan together after their parents married each other. Ohjiro competes in Kobe and has been the champion of the Kansai Regional games, as well as being the runner-up in the national tournament for two consecutive years. He has a desperate desire to defeat Shuko Suzuhara's angel Athena to get over a childhood crush he had on her. His angel is Wizard, his special ability is Magic Guard. Yuuji Sakamoto is the class representative of class F. In the series, the class rep position is assigned to the smartest student of that class. He is cool, collected, and exhibit surprisingly high intelligence and foresight unexpected of a student from class F. In volume 1, his strategies and tactics had helped class F to attain victory after victory, until the duels with class A in which he overestimated his ability in elementary school level Japanese history. Yuuji was once known as a child prodigy in his childhood. The only reason why he ended up in class F was because he did not study at all and he holds the strong belief that grades are not everything. However, due to the consequences he 'suffered' from his defeat from Shōko Kirishima, his childhood friend and also the top student of his level, he became motivated to study again, and in the later volumes, his Shoukanjuu became reasonably strong in just a few months due to his test scores improving by leaps and bounds. It is implied that he is actually smarter than his childhood friend, Shouko. After the tournament in volume 2, he acquired a platinum bracelet which allows him to control the size of the force field of his Shoukanjuu, allowing him to form a one-man army choke point since humans cannot pass through this force field.

He bears no ill intention towards Shouko, but due to her unyielding obsession with marrying him since their childhood days, he sees her as having a few loose screws in her mind, and fears to even think of his future if he does marry her. In the anime, its suggested that they act like a married couple though she tends to treat him as a slave. 

Yuuji is close to Akihisa to the point where they can actually communicate without any words. A gag in the series is that Yuuji will attempt to decipher a complicated expression on Akihisa and comment on a series of events that must have taken place. While he meant it as a joke, he is always a spot-on when this happens. His Shoukanjuu wears an outfit that makes it look like a punk, and is armed with brass knuckles.

Kaien Shiba was the lieutenant of the 13th Division, under Juushiro Ukitake, up until his death at the hands of a Hollow that also killed his wife, Miyako Shiba.    Kaien, a very ethical man, was adored by many of the 13th Division members. He was outspoken and bore a rough disposition, but his down-to-earth attitude was one of the reasons why everyone looked up to him. Kaien treated his fellow company members indiscriminately, regardless of their social standing or rank. Because of this, he was popular among aristocrats and commoners alike within his Division.    He was the first person in Seireitei to treat Rukia like an ordinary person since her adoption into the Kuchiki family. Until he came along, she was treated with careful respect to her face and talked about and bashed behind her back. She was grateful for the fact that Kaien treated her as an equal, and it has been hinted that Rukia may have come to develop romantic feelings for him because of this. She didn&rsquo;t pursue him because Kaien was already married to the third seat of the 13th Division, Miyako Shiba.    Kaien believed that one&#039;s &quot;heart&quot; was determined based on the prospects of fighting and protecting. He was a firm believer in Captain Ukitake&#039;s policy on fighting, which consists of two types of combat: 1) The fight to protect life, and 2) The fight to protect honor. Kaien took it a step further and believed they both end up being the same thing: &quot;Heart.&quot; He believed that every time one connected with another, a little bit of &quot;heart&quot; is born between them. He thought of &quot;heart&quot; as not something inside you, but rather what is born whenever you think of, or remember, someone else. He believed that one&#039;s &quot;heart&quot; exists in others, and that it remains with his or her comrades even after death. Having held such views, he believed that people should never die alone. Kaien&#039;s favorite food was ohagi, and he liked to take afternoon naps if he could.

~!Reincarnation of Shukaido!~

Haruhiko, unlike Sakura and Daisuke, does not see the advertisement in Boo! magazine. Rin runs into him in a uniform store and realizes who he is. Haruhiko is racked with guilt over the terrible thing he did to Shion in his previous life. As such he does everything that Rin tells him, ~!including claiming that he is the reincarnation of Shion.!~ This turns out to be an inspired move. Between Rin&#039;s machinations and their piecing together of their moon memories, the other reincarnates begin to fear Haruhiko and what he may be doing to them, even though Haruhiko has not actually done a single thing to any of them. Haruhiko has a very weak heart, due to his excessive use of his ESP when he was younger. Haruhiko resembles Shion physically, because Shukaido was obsessed with him when he died. This was explained when Haruhiko mentions that his mother is half Indian (making Haruhiko 3/4 Japanese and 1/4 Indian).

Haru is a teenage boy who grew up on a small island called Garage Island. His father left him with his mother and sister to find Rave when he was young. Soon after, his mother died and he was left alone with his sister.  His destiny takes a turn when Shiba gives him the Rave stone, passing on the powers of the Rave Master.  He first fished Plue the Rave bearer out of the ocean, and soon met Shiba, the Rave Master. Haru was chosen as the second generation Rave Master by Rave. When he realizes the true threat that Demon Card are to the world, he then promised Shiba that he will complete the collection of Rave and end all of Demon Card's evil. He then sets off to find the pieces of Rave to restore peace to the world.  He's like his father, Gale Glory, never giving up in a battle, no matter the circumstances. He is not afraid to die for the protection of the planet. Along the way, he found good friends and allies, each having their own goals, yet were bound together thanks to him and helping each other along the way. He is very friendly and has a lot of energy. He is always there for his friends. He promised to protect Elie and when his friends are hurt, he gets really mad and get very motivated to protect them, gathering a rush of great strength.

One of the main protagonists in the story and an HWT pilot. Hayami is probably one of the most shy and naive characters in Gunparade March. His personality renders him to be dubbed a &quot;goof&quot; among his fellow colleagues and become somewhat an interest for several of the female characters. When he meets Mai, he develops an interest for her and gradually becomes infatuated with her. However, his timidness prevents him from admitting his true feelings and publicly, he considers her as a &quot;good partner on the job&quot;. As an HWT pilot, his attributes are quite balanced and this caused him to be teamed with Mai for piloting the two-seater &quot;Tandem&quot; HWT. However, Hayami tends to be nervous during battles and has the habit of messing up. He also seems to be well aware of the concept that the Genjyu feed upon Human's fear and hatred for them which causes them to attack. This is shown when he elaborates a fairy tale (it is speculated that a fairy tale can bring one's childhood innocence back which eliminates most of one's hatred and fear) aloud while carrying Mai to a safe area when they were stranded in a forest full of Genjyu and the Genjyu were rendered motionless. Later on, the whole platoon tried to pair Mai and Hayami up by setting false tasks and trying to trap them into admitting each others true feelings. It initially appeared to be successful until Hayami's naive personality ended the operation in failure. Ippo Makunouchi is the main protagonist of the series. He lives with his mother, Hiroko Makunouchi, and helps with the family charter boat fishing business. Ippo is a classic power in-boxer and is well known for his Peek-a-Boo style of boxing and hard punches which include three signature punches: a rib-cracking liver blow, Gazelle punch (an uppercut variant), and the Dempsey roll technique. His signature punches appear to be modeled after Mike Tyson, Floyd Patterson and Jack Dempsey respectively. Ippo is bullied throughout most of his school life. After being rescued by Takamura, he ends up being brought to Kamogawa Gym, where he displays an explosive punching power. After seeing a video of Mike Tyson, he becomes inspired to take up boxing to feel reborn with strength. He soon proves himself to Takamura and Kamogawa, and starts on the path to being a pro boxer.

is a kohai of Tsukushi's that saves her from being bullied after she gets back from her trip to Canada. He first appears as a nerdy boy, with glasses and an oblivious attitude. He is actually a famous model for a well-known magazine, hiding his identity in school through his glasses.

Age 28. Hiroko's boyfriend.  Like Hiroko, Shinji works long hours. He also frequently travels on business, making it difficult for the two of them to spend time together. Shinji isn't as successful in his business endeavours as Hiroko, however, and this leads to more problems in their relationship.

He lost his memory during a brain washing program. At first he thinks he is a terrorist. He met Saki in Washington D.C., being naked and only carrying a gun and a cellphone. When he helps her out, because she threw a coin in the grounds of the White House and is questioned by policemen, she gives him her coat, scarf and her hat. He has a very modern cell phone with the phrase "noblesse oblige" printed on it and 8.2 billion yen in digital money credit. When he makes his first call, a female voice claiming to be Juiz answers. After she sent him a map with the place where he was supposed to go he finds, in his apartment, guns and many different passports which seemed to all belong to him (after his arrival in Japan, Juiz told him that he has to use up all his digital money). Then he met the girl named Saki and they return to Japan together.

He is Ichitaka's best friend who seems to think himself a pro with the opposite gender despite his somewhat nerdy appearance and lack of success with girls. He is often found giving Seto encouragement and good advice. Though sometimes his help is unwarranted and sometimes ends up in a bad situation, he means well with his actions and is bummed when Seto doesn't succeed. Ichitaka spends a considerable amount of time through the story continuing to ask for advice, but as the story progresses he learns to not rely so heavily on him. He is generally interpreted as well-meaning but is also a jerk and a pervert, and not exactly the smartest person in the series.
