The leader of G32 Beta, the group that opposes Daiwa. Despite the virus destroying her, Maria tries to stay a human as long as possible and requires that from her comrades. She's exremely strong-willed and eager to act in order to save the humanity and protect her ideals, however, she also possesses some natural charm and is able to make use of it when needed. Her acquaintance from the student days, Kisaragi, characterizes her as "beautiful and dangerous". Maria is seen smoking sigarettes from time to time.    ~!Maria is the former love interest of Leon. She even agreed to leave for America in order to be with him, but wasn't allowed to. However, she still cares for him a lot, but tries not to show it. !~
