Ever since he was little, Miyata has always wanted to be like his dad. His dad, Suzuki Miyata, used to be a boxer, until a career-ending jaw bone injury forced him to retire. Miyata takes  his training dead seriously, and has always believed in his father's old beliefs, that skill can beat strength. You hardly ever see the guy smile because he thinks  that he doesn't have the privilege to smile unless he wins a boxing match. 
~!He had worked his way up to almost the top of the feather weight championship, until Ryo Mashiba beat him in a match. Miyata ended up in the hospital with a broken foot, as well as some other injuries.!~

Despite his height is a really shy person, sometimes even disappearing before a match, with the excuse of going to the bathroom. Most of the times Endo has to help him overcome his fears.

One of the members of the original Teikoku team and a close friend of Kidou.   After Kidou leaves Teikoku and joins Raimon's team, he and Genda become part of Shin Teikoku with Fudou as the new captain. Sakuma is still angry at Kidou for leaving Teikoku and is willing to use the dangerous forbidden Emperor Penguin shot to defeat Raimon's team, despite Kidou's protests. After a heated battle which ends in a tie, Sakuma collapses from overusing Emperor Penguin No. 1 and is taken to the hospital. However, before that, he apologizes to Kidou for taking things too far and they make peace, promising to play soccer together again sometime.  After getting out of the hospital, Sakuma is invited to the FFI recruitment match and eventually goes to the islands with the rest of Raimon's team to represent Japan. He, Kidou and Fudou are shocked to find Kageyama there, and investigate what their old coach is up to. Komachi&#039;s best friend in Kanna village, Okara is always recieving letters from her about everything that goes on with the samurai. A strong lover of gossip and secrets, she always a mischievious laugh whenever she sees a secret or overhears some juicy gossip.     Even though Okara is around Komachi&#039;s age, she speaks and acts like a full grown woman with wisdom and perception of truth far beyond her years. Okara always has a baby on her back, though it&#039;s never explaned who&#039;s baby it is, what it&#039;s name is, if it&#039;s a boy or a girl, or even why it&#039;s with her.

BB is usually very protective of Mother Nature. She is Musashi's rival competitor and Suguru's love interest. BB believes in her Dragon lure and even cares for it.
