Kanade Tachibana is the Afterlife School's student council president. She is often referred to as "Tenshi" by the SSS, based on both Yuri's belief that she must be a representative of god and the SSS members not knowing her name initially. Though, they continue to called her as "Tenshi" after discovering her real name. Her position often puts her at odds with Yuri and the other SSS members as her responsibilities require her to suppress delinquency and disruptive activities. 

Her given name, Kanade, as described by Otonashi, literally means "Playing music".

Tenshi has a variety of self-defense skills at her disposal, which she calls "Guard Skills".   

~! __Hand Sonic:__ Calls forth a blade on one hand or both. The blades are capable of slicing through steel. Kanade has shown several variations to its form:
-  _Version 1:_ Regular shape, resembling a longsword. 
- _Version 2:_ A longer version than the previous, with a curved diamond shape on its tip. 
- _Version 3:_ Shaped like a traditional sai. 
-  _Version 4:_ A variation which is shaped like a lotus flower with no edges other than, perhaps, its petals. Apparently more of a bludgeoning weapon than a slicing one. Tenshi admits to have created it in her attempt to make her weapon "cuter". 
- _Version 5:_ Kanade's most recent variation of Hand Sonic. Is basically a pair of pincers secured on the arm by a blue gauntlet-like accessory. She created this version out of Otonashi's advice to make a more ruthless image.
 __Distortion:__ Distorts the path of bullets or any other projectiles around or away from her body.   
__Delay:__ Creates a sort of after-image for close range. It is effective in dodging melee attacks by confusing the enemy into attacking elsewhere.  
 __Harmonics:__ Makes a clone of herself which is identical to her except the clone has blood-red eyes. Clones created through this ability have their own consciousness and have all the abilities of the original - including Harmonics itself. This ability is apparently sightly glitched, as her clones were shown to rebel against her to the extent of almost killing her.  
 __Absorb:__ A reverse of Harmonics. It allows Kanade to reintegrate Harmonics clones back into the original's body. However, since every clone has their own consciousness, using this poses some risks. The skill uses a command called timewait, which delays the execution. This was created by Yuri as a method of dealing with the clones.
__Overdrive:__ A passive ability that gives her superhuman strength.   
__Howling:__ Emits powerful high-frequency, high-amplitude sound-waves from crossed Hand Sonic blades, meant to make an enemy faint. Created by one of the Harmonics clones.   
__Angel Wings:__ Sprouts wings from her back that can be used to slow descent and let her survive drops such as jumping from the roof of a building. Purely decorational, as she could survive the drop easily to begin with.   
__Energy Blast:__ This unnamed technique produces a blue explosion that is shot out of her back in a vaguely angel wing-shaped blast. It was stated to be as powerful as a bomb by Naoi, after it demolished a mass of Shadows. !~

~! It is revealed that Kanade was the receiver of the donor heart from Otonashi. Her regret in life was her inability to thank the one who gave her the heart. After the credits, there is a short scene featuring what is assumed to be her and Otonashi reuniting in the real world !~

With her home destroyed in the same fire, Kakunojō, along with Zagashira and Ebisu, formed the Yuyama troupe and visit various regions around the country, to seek Hario, those who murdered her parents and exact revenge upon them. Their group was soon joined by Ibaragi Sōtetsu, an intelligent playwright, and later by Shiranui Kozo and Kakashi no Keishin, both of whom were attracted to the group's ideals. Sigyn is the 25-year-old Queen of Krisna. During military school she was known as the &quot;Mad Scientist&quot; for secluding herself in the school&#039;s lab for 3 days and nights without eating or drinking. While she is the Queen, she rarely acts like one and has instead pursued a career of science. She can usually be found with the royal engineers in the castle maintenance workshop tinkering with machines.    Sigyn cares deeply for her friends, to the point of pointing a gun at Rygart upon first seeing him to ask why he didn&#039;t show up at her wedding and confirm that he doesn&#039;t hate her. Even though she and Hodr are married, they do not share the same bed.     ~!It is later reveal Sigyn was in love with Rygart during their days in military school but Rygart purposely didn&#039;t hear her confession to him when he returned to take over his father&#039;s farm because he felt Sigyn deserved a better life with someone else. She appears to still love Rygart even though she is married.!~

A Borner with the ability to inflict pain upon others with her voice by radiating it through the air, which made her acting as if had a speechless handicap in daily routine. She works as a cosplay waitress in Santana's bar as well as his assistant, the two appearing to have developed feelings for each other. Usually seen behaving childlike.

Kotomi is another schoolmate of Tomoya's in the same year, but, like Kyou, is in a separate class from Tomoya. The "Koto" in Kotomi is derived from the Japanese musical stringed instrument of the same name. She is in the top ten for every subject throughout the whole country in standardized exam results—she always goes to library to read extra materials, especially books in foreign languages. Kotomi is a very quiet girl and it is quite difficult to communicate with her. In her spare time, she plays the violin, although she is very poor at it to the point of causing pain to those who hear her play.   


__In Clannad__
~!Tomoya meets her for the first time when he enters the library and found Kotomi sitting on the floor barefoot, reading books with scissors in her hand, and acts oddly with Tomoya. After several meetings with Kotomi, Tomoya starts skipping the fourth period and spend time with Kotomi in the library. Tomoya decides to force Kotomi to join the drama club to make her more sociable. Just when Kotomi starts to open up to everyone, a bus accident causes her to breakdown in front of everyone and returns home later. Tomoya visits her in her house and learns that he and Kotomi were childhood friends, but lost contact with each other after Kotomi's parents died in an plane-accident. Not wanting to feel the pain of losing someone important anymore, and asks Tomoya to leave her alone. Wanting to bring Kotomi away from her past, Tomoya decides to renovate her garden, while the drama club members decide to gift her a violin, but was unfortunately destroyed. After renovating Kotomi's garden, Kotomi appears to Tomoya, and after some poignant conversation, Tomoya brings Kotomi out of her house to see the outside world inside her heart. The next day, her guardian presents Kotomi her parent's briefcase that has traveled all the way to Japan, and inside is a teddy bear and a testimony, asking Kotomi to live the way she wants and grow up to be an adult. Kotomi realizes she is still being loved by her parents even after their death and cries. After this, Kotomi becomes more mature, and the drama club members finally give Kotomi a violin.!~    

__In After Story__  
~!In the anime adaptation Clannad After Story, Kotomi moves to America to further her studies. She, however, occasionally visits Tomoya and the others, and in the movie adaptation, Kotomi only made a cameo appearance, as she is only seen conducting a song for the members of the Choir Club.!~

The girl Makoto has a crush on.     ~!One of the reasons Makoto committed suicide was that he saw her coming out of a love hotel with a middle-aged man. Later Hiroka admits that she needs money to buy all the expensive things she wants. She offers Makoto (&quot;I&quot;) to go the the love hotel together but he refuses.!~

Ayase is an amazing and determined young girl who is paralyzed from the ​waist down and uses a wheelchair.  She is also Undertaker's sole Endlave combat pilot. She can't stand feeling dependent on others, so she firmly rejects any and all help from others. There are two things Ayase dislikes more than anything - being offered help by others because of her disability and if someone is watching her while she is trying to crawl back into her wheelchair on her own. She believes the process itself doesn't make her look very elegant.    Even though Ayase is disabled, she is valued and respected by all Undertaker members for her Endlave piloting skills. This paralyzed girl makes her Endlave which weights many tons of armor grade steel-alloy move on the battlefield with uncanny precision.  Ayase being the only pilot of Endlave mobile combat platform is instrumental to all Undertaker operations. Her primary job is to draw the attention of the enemy Endlaves away from the Undertaker's main objectives and provide support and cover for other Units.  Most of the time during combat Ayase finds herself outnumbered at least three to one, but still, are able to hold her own against enemy Endlaves. Originally, she piloted an older Endlave Jumeau model before it was destroyed by Daryl, but later gains Daryl's Endlave Steiner model.  Ayase has feelings for Gai and is very loyal to him. She was eager to accept all responsibility for losing her original Endlave in combat, after successfully holding off multiple, newer and more advanced enemy Endlave models with her older model for 18 minutes. After listening to her report, Gai simply tells her that the fault is his own and that he is not fit to be the Undertaker's Commander for giving her such cruel order, to which she blushed furiously.   

 ~!Ayase's Void is a compensation for the disabled girl's one and only shortcoming. It's a direct reflection of Ayase's hearts' deepest wish and decides - to be able to proudly stand on her own two legs. Something that most people take for granted. This powerful Void manifested itself as a reinforced lower-body exoskeleton providing its user with amazing agility, mobility, and jumping power. Strangely enough, it also possesses a roller-skates type capability allowing for a swift movement over flat surfaces. It is possible that because Ayase is so used to Endlaves which utilize skating instead of walking to quickly move in and out of combat - it caused the same ability manifest in her Void as well.!~  At first Ayase is apprehensive toward Shu, because of his lack of firm character and indecisiveness, but later on she warms up to him as she starts to see him change as a person and yet remain the same as a human being.   ~! As Shu ready to leave for the decisive battle and wishes to return everyone's voids in case he doesn't come back, Ayase is the first one who tells him that she wishes him to keep her void for if Shu loses - all their lives are forfeit.!~

The princess of Parros and Remus' twin. She is more independent and proud, but while putting up a strong front for her brother, she is just as devastated over the loss of her homeland. She also has prophetic abilities, hence her name "Farseer".

According to the novels, she's sure to be one of the top beauties of the land. She has a hatred for Lady Amnelis that is suggested in Vol 2 to be partly because they are rivals and opposites in beauty, but mostly because the White Knights that Lady Amnelis commands were responsible for the deaths of her parents She is a platinum blonde with violet eyes. At the beginning of the story, she is 14.

Yuuki is a second-year at Fujimi High School.She is regarded as the sexiest student in their school. She was known to have some &quot;strang talk&quot; surrounding her at school. She escaped with Fujimi Academy&#039;s other survivors and stayed with Shidos group, finding pleasure in their debauchery.She has been manipulated like the others that was in Shido&#039;s group. She helped Shido enter the Takagi compound by using her sex appeal, but she was forced to leave like everyone else that came with Shido.She has also survived the accident Shido had after the EMP and had subsequently escaped. After that, she is later seen at the school where the evacuation is taking place.

The female Captain of Ken-oh&#039;s Royal Guards. Also known as Reina of the Twin Blades, a master swordswoman who uses a style known as the Twin Blades of Sun and Moon. She is a childhood friend of Raoh who fled from the Land of Asura to help Raoh build his army. Minene Uryuu is a terrorist bomber. Like the Fourth, her "Escape" diary goes along with the type of profession she is involved in. Whenever Minene faces a dire situation, the diary will chart out the best course of actions she can take in order to get out of a tight spot. Based on the function of her diary, it might even help reduce the chances of her receiving a Dead End and it is probably one of the best diaries to have in Deus' game of survival. The diary's only shortcoming is that there are some circumstances where the odds are too heavily stacked against Minene to the point where the diary won't be able to secure an escape route for her.   An infamous atheistic terrorist, Minene is a young woman who bears a strong hatred for organized religion, particularly God.    ~!Her hatred of religion stems from her past when she and parents were traveling in a city in the Middle East but got caught in a battle, which is hinted between Israelis and Palestinians, where her parents were killed in the crossfire. Blaming God for her parents death, she leads a crusade of destruction against those associated with God.   Minene got involved in the Diary game when after a failed assassination to kill a Catholic Cardinal, she tried to escape but almost fell to her death but was saved by Deus who gave her an offer to save her if she join his game. Minene's diary is the Escape Diary, which will chart out the best course of actions for her to escape whenever she finds herself in a dangerous situation. While it means she can escape anything, it is not perfect as the diary can only tell her how to escape if there are favorably conditions that allow her any chance to escape.   Originally, she wants to win the game to destroy religion worldwide but later mellows out after befriending Yuki and his friends. While she began as an antagonist against Yuki, she later became his ally, becoming a big sister figure to him and both of them hold no animosity with each other despite Minene was responsible for the destruction and deaths at his school and Yuki was the one who blinded her left eye. She shares an interesting relationship with Masumi Nishijima of the police whom she met during her failed assassination of the Cardinal. While she constantly dismisses all of his attempts to get to know her, she finally relents and eventually falls in love with Masumi.   In the anime, during the last episode it was shown that Minene, from the second world, and Masumi, from the third world live together and have two children. Third world Minene is still a terrorist. !~ She is named after Minerva — the Roman goddess of wisdom, commerce, weaving, crafts and magic. 

She is the new president of the school's yacht club after Jenny graduated and transfer the club's leadership to her, in later episodes she becomes the Bentenmaru's replacement crew as the ship's electronic warfare specialist while the original crew are put on quarantine.    ~!In episode 17 on behalf of Jenny Dolittle she hired the services of the ship's captain, Marika to help Jenny escape from her uncle's forced marriage.  It is also revealed that she is in a lesbian relationship with Jenny.!~
