A girl introduced in volume 3, Alice is a trainee for Orange Planet, a company who currently holds the first place in the water guide business. She first appears as a very standoffish, snotty young girl; however, exposure to Akari's mood begins to lighten her up as the series progresses. This does not stop her from telling the other girls to be quiet when they argue, however.  

She is just a trainee when Akari and Aika are apprentices, but is already showing a talent for rowing that might surpass both of them (in fact, this is the reason why she was scouted by Orange Planet despite her age). Despite this (and the fact that Akari and Aika are from rival businesses), she often joins the two in joint practice sessions, and she sincerely enjoys their company.  Alice speaks in a very deadpan manner, and tends to use the word dekkai (でっかい - meaning "huge") often in the course of speaking. Aika also commonly addresses her as "Kohai-chan" (後輩ちゃん - or "junior" said in a friendly manner).

Patty Lowell is a young girl who Dante met after she supposedly came into a large inheritance. This turned out to be a sham, and she has since been spending a lot of time with Dante, whether he likes it or not. She turned out to be a descendant of a powerful magician who sealed the devil Abigail. Patty is very girly and loves cute things, sometimes decorating Dante&#039;s otherwise gloomy office with ribbons and plush toys. She loves romantic TV shows and serves as Dante&#039;s only source of feminine influence in the absence of Trish and Lady.      ~!At the end of the anime, Patty finds her birth mother (whom she had been slightly obsessed with since the beginning) and leaves Dante&#039;s office, which proved to be her part time home. However she did not forget about Dante and starts cleaning his normally messy office when he&#039;s out. !~

The young daughter of a viscount who falls in love with William. Her feelings for William are often reinforced by misunderstandings from William's courtesy and accommodation. Though her family is of the peerage, her family's financial situation is deteriorating. Due to this, her father very much wants Eleanor to marry into the wealthier, but lower class, Jones family.        Eleanor is a very shy girl, yet in the same time she always tries to catch William's attention, for example by inviting him into a tea-party in her mansion, and visiting to William's mansion for 'seeing the rose blooming'. She is very shy whenever William is around, yet finally she was able to tell him her feelings when they were watching opera. She is (almost) always accompanied by her faithful servant Annie, who takes care of her since she was a child (in the 4th volume of the manga, it was shown that since Eleanor was still a child Annie has been serving her.) 

Fine is the one of the twin princesses of Sunny Kingdom. She has red eyes and reddish-pink hair. Fine is referred to as one of "the most unprincess-like princesses in the history of Fushigi-boshi". She frequently whines whenever she sees or hears anything supernatural. Fine may be athletic, but also gluttonous. Just like her sister, Rein, she is not a very good dancer. Nevertheless, she is friendly, kind, and cares about the people she loves (including Shade). Fine is always slow on what others are thinking. She was the first one to find out that Eclipse (Shade) wasn't as bad as everyone thought he was (which soon leads her to fall in love with him). Fine can understand what Shade's little sister, Milky, is saying because they both like to eat. Fine usually do what's best for her without thinking, but Rein stops her. In the third series she marries Shade. 

Daughter of the Principal of the School Rinko attends in and Sapphire&#039;s Human Partner. Also 14 years old, Aoi is the richest girl in Takaragaseki City, seeing that her family owned a lot of establishments in the city.

He is a familiar who can grant any wish to a certain girl, on the condition that she becomes a Puella Magi and fights against witches. 
~!When someone makes a contract with him, he extracts their soul and places it inside a Soul Gem, replacing their body with a shell that's more resilient to fighting witches.  He has made contracts with Mami, Kyoko, Homura, and Sayaka, and shows particular interest in making Madoka a Puella Magi. It is unknown if there are other familiars besides him. He can only be seen or heard by Puella Magi and those who have potential to become a Puella Magi. He also disposes of used Grief Seeds for the Puella Magi, because, if they are used too extensively, the witch could become reborn from the Grief Seed. He also constantly tries to find chances to persuade girls who have potential to become Puella Magi to form a contract with him, despite the fact that he knows the dangers that Puella Magi face. Much to his dismay, he cannot force a girl to become a Puella Magi.  He doesn't fully understand human values and questions any perceived differences between himself and humans. For example, when Madoka claims that he is cruel for forming contracts with girls and turning them into Puella Magi, he compares his actions to the act of humans slaughtering livestock, saying that, unlike humans, who show a lack of interest and sympathy for other creatures' values when it comes to their own survival, he at least recognizes humans as being sentient beings and tries to negotiate with them. Therefore, Kyuubey is neither evil nor good, just a survivor like everyone else. !~

__Major Spoiler:__  ~!Kyuubey is an "Incubator" and from an advanced alien species whose civilization is located far away from Earth. A long time ago, his species took alarm to the gradual heat death of the universe, and, in their search for a solution to it, encountered a species on Earth, humans, who exhibited emotions, something Kyuubey's species does not have. They then subsequently discovered a type of energy called emotional energy that could be used efficiently counter entropy, and also realized that teenage human females, who are very emotionally unstable during their mental and physical development throughout puberty, harbor the most emotional energy of all humans.  Therefore, it is Kyuubey's duty to form contracts with teenage girls and to collect the emotional energy that is created when the girl becomes a Puella Magi. However, it is also his duty to collect the massive amount of emotional energy that is created when a Puella Magi transforms into a witch, and to consume Grief Seeds, which also contain large amounts of emotional energy.  It seems that negative emotions such as hatred and despair yield more emotional energy than positive emotions, since Kyuubey comments that the amount of emotional energy created when a girl becomes a Puella Magi is nothing compared to the explosion of emotional energy created when a Puella Magi transforms into a witch. Thus, it could be said that Kyuubey's main purpose is to "incubate" girls' souls in Soul Gems until they become filled with so much negative emotion that they transform into Grief Seeds and "hatch" into witches, and to then "harvest" the emotional energy created from the transformation.  Also, whenever Kyuubey is killed, he is instantly reincarnated (for lack of a better word) into a new body with the same appearance and disposes of his previous body by eating it. He seems to have an endless supply of spare bodies, so, it might not be possible to kill him in a conventional fashion.!~

Seira is the future Mermaid Princess of the Indian Ocean (Sara's successor), and keeper of the Orange Pearl. Seira has three forms, Mermaid Seira, Human Seira, and her idol form, Orange Pearl Voice. Her image songs are Birth of Love and Beautiful Wish. 

She is a crucial role to the Pure season, but she hardly gets a full appearance until the end.    

~!Her story starts off when Sara tells Lucia of her successor. Seira is going to be born, and Lucia is transported to the Indian Ocean, and with the Orange Pearl, the mermaid appears, but at that moment, Michel and the Black Beauty Sisters intervene. Lucia attempts to fight them, but because she is alone, she is defeated. Michel then takes this chance to absorb Seira's spirit into himself. Sara then tells Lucia that she must collect Seira's many heart fragments into the Orange Pearl before she can be fully born. This will take some time, because only one fragment might fall from Michel.  

In the meantime, Seira serves as Lucia's guidance and consciousness from inside the Orange Pearl. Lucia sometimes appears in a dream with her, and Seira gives her valuable information. Finally, during the battle versus Michel, he is nearly defeated, which causes all the heart fragments to scatter. With all of them in place, Seira can be born, and appears in front of the Mermaids as a full human. Her power helps them defeat Michel for good.!~
