Emi Akizawa&#039;s personal assistant. His job to keep an eye on Baki as well as set up &quot;fights&quot; for him. Despite his age, he is a capable fighter. He serves as a father figure to Baki.

A police officer that Meg robbed when she was younger. Based on flashbacks, it is implied that Sam once had a family (a wife and daughter), that are now dead as he carries around his daughter's doll with him. He saves Charlie and Shirley from falling debris at the area Jo was fighting Lava, one of the "Genocide Angel" candidates. Afterward, he adopts all three children while Meg and Jo leave their own way.

Formerly the Crystal Alchemist, Marcoh was the leading researcher in the creation of the Philosopher's Stone. Tormented by the fact that his research was used in the Ishval War to kill many innocent people, he fled from his position as a State Alchemist and took his research with him to prevent it from being used for further destruction. Hiding from the military and posing as a medical doctor, he uses the Red Stone he created to help the sick.

Fuwa was the coach under whose control, ETU was dropped from the first division to the second division. He dislikes the ETU management and believes that the management of ETU is inadequate. He pities Tatsumi as Tatsumi is coaching a team with no foreign players. Fuwa has stated that he cannot imagine coaching a team with no foreign players and himself hand picked three Brazilian players for Nagoya Grand Palace. Believing that the Brazilians also elevated the playing style of the Japanese players around them with their skill and experience. However, Itagaki, the former lead striker and star of Nagoya Grand Palace is more frustrated then anything else by the presence of the Brazilians and, in addition, Tatsumi was able to find and exploit a weak-spot in the team's defence when he realised that the Nagoya Grand Palace defenders were all taking their clues from Carlos (one of the Brazilian midfielders) and if he moved even a little up the field, the defence collapsed.  It is almost impossible to judge whether Fuwa is any good or not. His desire for high profile players, foreign if possible, is not in itself a bad thing. Nor will a team win just because it has a collection of outstanding individual talents that don't work together and the coach is needed blend the talents together to form a strong team. However, the problem is that his three Brazilian players work well together as they are used to playing together (possibly in the Brazilian National Team as all three are suppose to be National Team players) and together can create opportunities without the help of special tactics. In addition, unlike the Hiraizumi, Fuwa was not immediately able to detect and correct the gaping hole in the defence that Tatsumi exploited. Further more, unlike Dulfer, Fuwa did not seem to acknowledge his part in the defeat—which lead to Tatsumi informing him that if he doesn't accept that he lost, he's going to find the rug pulled out from under him again and again. He is shrouded in mystery for most of the Battle Frontier saga. Unlike the other Frontier Brains, his silhouette is not shown on its own during the opening and is only seen in the center of the group shot. Trainers will only find out the location of the Battle Pyramid after they have collected the other six Symbols. This may mean that Brandon ranks higher than the rest of the Frontier Brains, although in the video games and manga, this position belongs to Anabel. When Ash finally gets his sixth Frontier Symbol in Second Time&#039;s the Charm!, he learns that it is located near Pewter City.    His first battle with Brandon occurred in Battling the Enemy Within!. At the time, however, Ash was possessed by an ancient king of the Pyramid who battled Brandon&#039;s Regirock with Ash&#039;s Sceptile. Sceptile was defeated, although Ash eventually regained control of his body, and the Pyramid was moved to an area near the Indigo Plateau.    For their second battle in Overjoyed!, Ash&#039;s Torkoal squared off against Brandon&#039;s Registeel. However, Torkoal was, like Sceptile, defeated by Brandon&#039;s Legendary Pok&eacute;mon.    In Gathering the Gang of Four, Ash and co. met up with Brandon in a forest. In Pace - The Final Frontier!, Brandon and Ash fought in a 4 vs. 4 battle. Brandon&#039;s Dusclops defeated Ash&#039;s Charizard in the first round, but was then defeated by Ash&#039;s Bulbasaur. Then, Brandon&#039;s Ninjask squared off against Ash&#039;s Squirtle, where Squirtle was able to beat Ninjask with a Hydro Pump. In the next round, Squirtle was defeated by Brandon&#039;s Solrock, which in turn drew with Bulbasaur. With both competitors left to their last Pok&eacute;mon, Ash used Pikachu while Brandon unveiled yet another Pok&eacute;mon from his legendary collection: this time, a Regice. Despite the odds, however, Pikachu managed to hold its own against the legendary golem and came out victorious, becoming only the second Pok&eacute;mon in the anime to have defeated a Legendary Pok&eacute;mon, after Charizard.    Brandon appeared again in A Pyramiding Rage!, where he wanted to research the Snowpoint Temple. While meeting up with Ash and friends, he is challenged to a full battle by Paul. Paul loses the match easily due to him losing control of his emotions. Brandon later mentions that they would battle again when Paul is ready.    In Pillars of Friendship, Brandon tries, and fails, to stop Pok&eacute;mon Hunter J from disturbing Regigigas in the Snowpoint Temple, which then goes on a rampage. It eventually calms down when Brandon saves it from being turned into a statue by J. Brandon then decides to stay at the Snowpoint Temple, not only to rebuild it, but also allow Regirock, Regice, and Registeel to become the new pillars that protect Regigigas.

Dr. Seger is a Rocket-dan scientist, who is shown to view his work seriously. However, at times of great discovery, he can become excited, as seen when he first analyzed the Meteonite and when his resurrection of Tirtouga led to the complete opening of the Time Gate. He is also practical-minded, ordering retreats when missions are failing without trying unreasonably to salvage them.

Motobe Izo is an old Japanese Jujitsu master. He is a calm and pretty gloomy person, who rarely shows any excitement. At one time, he seemed to have more of an obsession with defeating Yujiro Hanma than most martial artists, but he has never shown to be a match for him. 

Akito's father is a business executive who works long hours and is seldom home. Although it seems in the beginning that he is a bad father, Mr. Hayama turns out to be a good father who was simply unaware of the bad relationship between his children because he was working too hard. After realizing Akito's suffering, and also becoming ill due to working too hard, he begins to spend more time at home. When Akito gets into various scrapes during the series, Mr. Hayama always believes in his son and supports him, even when no one else does. This could partially be attributed to the fact that he and Akito's mother were troublemakers in their younger years. Mr. Hayama is very mellow and soft-spoken, but the few moments he breaks out of his quiet mode are very funny.
