Wentzel Ahbe was a highly-decorated U-Boat captain in the Kriegsmarine, who had survived many a depth-charge battle during the Battle of the Atlantic. In March of 1945, he led U-1324 out of Kiel, Germany on one last mission: transport Lt. Col. Matsuda back to the Japanese base in Batavia (now Jakarta), in the South China Sea. Ahbe did pick one other passenger... SS Lt. Col. Spielberger, who was carrying an unknown cargo with him.    For the most part, U-1324 was remarkably lucky: it ran into few enemy, as well as torpedoing an enemy tanker. But just as it was near Batavia, it ran into a U.S. Navy patrol group and went into silent running. They may have made it... if the group didn't use their active sonar. U-1324 was hit hard by the depth charges, and as a result was drove nose-first into the ocean floor. While the forward torpedo crew managed &ndash; at the sacrifice of their own lives &ndash; to seal the rest of the sub from their flooding compartment, there was no way they could escape their fate. It was then when Captain Ahbe had relieved his crew of their duties to the Third Reich... so that they could face death in their own manner.    While waiting for his end, Captain Ahbe met Lt. Col Spielberger (Lt. Col. Matsuda had already committed seppuku, a.k.a. ritual suicide, earlier). It was then that Spielberger, after imploring Ahbe about the chances of escape, revealed he was carrying a painting... &quot;The Twelve Knights Led by Brunhilda&quot; allegedly painted by Adolf Hitler (in actuality, it was later revealed years later to be a meaningless painting). Although Ahbe was a patriot, he was not a Nazi, and had told Spielberger openly about his disgust about not thinking about his family, which he was. Spielberger was offended about Ahbe's lack of loyalty to the Nazi cause and murdered him. Spielberger was later killed by Ahbe's loyal crew.    Although Ahbe's story was of a heroic fighter, Revy didn't have any compunctions about seeking Ahbe's Iron Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords, which Ahbe earned during his tour of duty in the Atlantic, which she only sought as something to get a quick buck. 

Giancarlo is the manager of the Horizon Cave station and a subordinate to Duke Henry Knowles. He also serves as an auctioneer when the supposed Exile artifact is opened for bidding at the black market. He takes the artifact, auctioned at 50 billion Claudia, to Maestro Delphine Eraclea but discovers it to be fake. Delphine gives him a Guild ring as a &quot;reward&quot;, but the ring&#039;s power kills him by turning him into dust.    (Source: Wikipedia)

Tazuna resolved to build a bridge that would connect the Land of Waves to the mainland to help restore its economic stability, which was against Gatō&#039;s interest. He knew that Gatō would try to kill him, but couldn&#039;t afford proper protection. It was because of this that Tazuna hired Team 7 under the false pretense of protecting him from bandits (this was considered a C-rank mission, thus reducing the cost). Unlike most of his fellow citizens, Tazuna was brave enough to defy Gatō&#039;s interests, although he was perfectly aware of the consequences. In honor of Naruto Uzumaki, and for his example of courage, Tazuna named the bridge the &quot;Great Naruto Bridge&quot; after its completion.


Hiluluk's main dream was to cure the people on the island of their frozen hearts which had formed because of Wapol's selfishness. After Wapol declared any doctor not under his rule to be outlaws, he and Doctor Kureha were the only free doctors left. However, unlike Kureha, Hiluluk ended up doing more damage than good to his patients by accident.  He found Chopper one day while traveling home in a blizzard. At first Chopper tried to knock him away, but Hiluluk earned his trust by showing that he didn't have any weapons or intention of hurting Chopper. From then on, the two slowly formed a sort of father/son relationship, traveling (and in a way terrorizing) the island trying to cure patients and generally resulting in them having to literally run for their lives from angry patients or their associates.

Professor Wilhelm von Jürgen was a brilliant scientist working within the Extra-Over Technological Investigative Institute, before joining up with the Divine Crusaders. According to Guiliam, Jürgen developed the networking ODE System, in hopes of utilizing it before extraterrestrial invaders would attack Earth.  ~!Unfortunately, the Aerogaters arrived earlier than he anticipated. As a result, Jürgen would lose his entire family after a Megillot attack. Following the L5 Campaign, Jürgen would completely redesign the ODE System. Bagdash is a commander in the Alliance forces. During the battle at the Doria starzone, he &quot;deserted&quot; the National Salvation Military Council (which had staged a coup d&#039;&eacute;tat on the planet Heinessen).    Though he had originally been operating under assassination orders, he instead requested to serve in Yang&#039;s fleet after seeing the defeat of his comrades. His presence was met with suspicion and animosity, especially from Julian.    Unsurprisingly, Bagdash considers surviving to be of greater importance than ideals or principles.

Shigeru Ushiyama is a Japanese actor and seiyuu from Nagano Prefecture. He is affiliated with Gekidan Subaru and is married to fellow seiyuu Keiko Aizawa.
