Ikki Tenryou (天領イッキ Tenryō Ikki), is a lively and easygoing boy, although a bit timid. At first Ikki is unable to afford a Medabot. But after finding a medal in a river, he manages to buy a model, which is named Metabee. However, the medal he found appears to be defective, as Metabee is stubborn and disobedient. In spite of this, a strong bond grows between them after several robattles. Though Ikki is not a full-fledged Medafighter, he gradually matures through the Robattles he engages in. One of two Miko of the Oribe Shinto shrine, Yukino is a third year high school student at Yukimi Meadows. She is the captain of the Naginata team, and the elder of twin sisters. She is very protective of her twin, Hinano, whom she affectionately calls Hina.   Yukino is rather a tomboy herself; she appears to dislike men, and her aggressive, loud mother hen attitude causes Kyouichi Houraiji to label her "Komaki No. 2". The shrine maidens study with Ryuuzan Arai, and are well versed in battling demons and casting spells.  Through Hinano, she is friends with Komaki Sakurai of Magami. They later come to the aid of the main characters when they are forced to fight against a possessed Aoi. After the battle with Kodzunu, the twins become major players throughout season two. Kota Izumi is the nephew of Shino Sosaki and the son of the hero team Water Hose. 

Purio is a bratty, arrogant eight-year old Mamodo child. Of the Mamodo taking part in the Battle to Determine King of Mamodo World, his appearance is the most royal of all children: dressed in a princely pinstripe outfit of blue and white with a crown on top of his combed blond hair. Purio admits that he is a weakling and that his spells may not be strong enough on their own to win the king tournament. Thus, he decides to be a front for various other Mamodo he teams up with, speaking on their behalf and trying to use his egotistical, me-first personality to show a strong front compared to his weakness. 

Purio easily becomes jealous at things other people have and usually tries to take them for himself while taking advantage of the motherly nature of his bookkeeper to do so. (even to the extent of growing a beard similar to the bookkeeper of one of his former allies) However, he does care about his bookkeeper Lupa and will do anything to help her, even with her smothering, caring love.
