Edward is Arthur&rsquo;s younger brother. Energetic and playful, Edward is very protective of Lynn and would do anything for her sake. Though he can ride horses like his brother, he cannot ride Alessandra since the latter refuses to be rode on by anyone except Arthur and Lynn. An emissary from Queen Earth, Kanou was sent by Princess Helena to search for the Flower of Life and the legendary Nurse Angel in order to fight Dark Joker and save Queen Earth.  In battle he fights using a sword and Psionic powers. He adopts the earthly disguise of a 6th grader at White Dove Academy (白鳩学園). Kanou becomes Ririka's mentor after she accepts her duty as Nurse Angel, but he harbors doubts about whether she is capable of managing her task without him. He is a serious, duty-bound character, rarely smiling, and when he does so it is mostly at Ririka. His desperate search for the means to save Queen Earth has left him physically drained, and his health seems to be failing.  Sensing that he will soon be defeated by Dark Joker, Kanou gives a portion of his power to Seiya, and entrusts his mission to him.

Based on the actual captain, Sagara Sōzō (1839 - 1868) was the leader of the Sekihōtai's First Troop. Sanosuke looked up to him greatly; he was, to Sanosuke, the ideal role model. He was killed when the Meiji government purged the Sekihōtai, leading to Sanosuke's embitterment towards it. His head was placed on a platform and in a cage for all to see, it haunts Sano still to this very day. Sometime after his death, Sano took his name and became Sagara Sanosuke. Another one of Yugi's friends. Honda used to bully Yugi with Jounouchi. He never understood Yugi&#039;s fashination with games but he was able to understand the feelings of others. Honda always helps Jounouchi or Yugi when they are in need. He&#039;s a friend to the end.
