Arata Wataya was a transfer student from Fukui that went to Chihaya's elementary school. The grandchild of a master karuta player, Arata inspires Chihaya to take up karuta by telling her that he thinks she has a talent for it. He had difficulty fitting in at Chihaya's elementary school because of his Fukui dialect and his family's poverty. His passion for karuta is inspired by his grandfather, a Meijin (master). After their first game at Arata's house, Chihaya befriends him. His dream is to become a Karuta Meijin. After graduating from elementary school, he returned to Fukui to care for his sick grandfather. He stops playing karuta because his grandfather died while Arata was competing in a karuta tournament to rise to A-rank. However, after Chihaya and Taichi visit him in Fukui, he regains his resolve to play competitive karuta again.

Ouzou is the third brother of the "Triplet Demons", and possesses great reflexes and athleticism which allow him to be naturally good at any sport, such as tennis which is what the three brothers were practicing at the beginning of the anime. His heart longs to play soccer and when he gets the chance to he gets all fired up. Ouzou, with his two brothers, left the Momoyama Predators due to the original coach being terrible and as a result many of the other players left leaving only Shou. Ouzou is the most boisterous of the brothers and comes off more like a delinquent. Ouzou excels in defense and typically plays right defender. His favorite color is red.

He survives the demon raid and is the only one who doesn't die.  -Second arc- 23 years later He is 41 years old. The only one to survive out of the whole cast.   He has been patiently waiting for the others to reincarnate along with investigating about the incident 23 years ago.   He got married with a normal girl and had a child with her. However, his relationship failed due to his loneliness and guilt over the others' death, and now he lives alone in his apartment with a 14-year-old Nobara.   He is working alongside Natsume, Karuta, and Kagerou in fixing their current situation.  -Third arc- In the current timeline, he is with Kotaru when the latter discovers the time capsule sent by their reincarnations from the future.!~

He was originally assigned to watch over Kon in episode 3, instead he becomes part of the traveling group. He started to talk in episode 14 which he turns out to be quite annoying, he is often in touch with Almaflora by means of radio that he tucks in his pouch- reporting the groups every move. The male protagonist of the series. He has a reserved personality, which causes him to become perturbed by Yuzuki and his sister's actions. He has a very strong sense of responsibility and consideration for others. He became a member of the school cooking club because he thought that Nanami would also join.  Before the series, he always lived in his hometown. He met a lost Yuzuki during the festival while they were children; he took care of her and told her that if she ever had problems she could come see him again. Entering in middle school he secretly had a crush on Nanami.  At the beginning of the series when Yuzuki had come to his house, he was irritated with her and did not remember meeting her before. But he becomes protective of her and they become good friends. Thanks to Yuzuki he gets closer to Nanami and finally confesses his love to her, but Nanami replies that she wants them to stay friends and tells him that she wants more time to think. Yuzuki also confesses her love to him, saying that he'll fall for her eventually, but she believes that first he'll end up with Nanami.

Hyuuga really likes to collect ancient Japanese warrior figurines (ex: Masamune, Yukimura, etc) and treasures them a lot. He got the skill to shoot accurately thanks to his special training, in which when he missed a shot during practice, he had to break one of his figurines. Hyuuga normally has a pleasant personality, but gets arrogant when irritated.   ~!When Hyuuga was in middle school, he was also on the basketball team together with Izuki. Unfortunately, the team was very weak. Despite Hyuuga's shooting ability, they never won once. Hyuuga was discouraged and decided to quit basketball when going to high school and also dyed his hair blond. But he was touched by Teppei's seriousness on forming a basketball club, and he finally joins the team. Then due to Teppei's suggestion and everyone's approval, he became the team's captain.!~

One of the eight generals. He uses the weapon household's vessel "Balalark Kauza." He is also a "Fanalis," like Morgiana. He does not speak a lot usually and is seen as emotionless and unfriendly. However, he is really kindhearted—he just doesn't show it often. His senior, Sharrkan often picks fight with him. However, he only listens to what Sinbad says. 

Kigiri was a shinobi who appeared in the second Naruto Shippūden filler arc.  Kigiri appeared quite laid-back compared to other members of the group. Also, he addressed Rinji as Aniki (Brother) on occasion. In addition, he seemed to be a bit of a gambler as he was shown playing cards with Rinji while in the hideout.

Shiraishi is the Captain of Shitenhouji Chuu. He is heralded as having 'Perfect Tennis', and is referred to as 'The Bible of Shitenhouji'. His skills are so great that he was already playing at singles 1 when he was only in his second year, and his team that year gave the eventual repeat Champions Rikkai Daigaku Fuzoku their toughest match of the entire tournament, when they met in the semi-finals. He is only shown to have one special shot, which is an unnamed shot where he hits the ball which spins in a ring motion while traveling towards his opponent.

Shiraishi is often shown sporting white bandages on his arm, for some reason unknown. There are several instances where he attempts to take them off, but never really finishes the process and winds them back up.

Shiraishi is also known to be the only person who can placate or appease Kintarou Tooyama, the youngest and wildest member of their team. It is apparent in the manga that Kintarou has a very peculiar and strong imagination, and ever since he read a manga about monsters with poison claws, he's been irrationally and childishly (albeit seriously) afraid of Shiraishi.

A fugitive who is on the run from the police after escaping from prison. He sneaks into Shion's house after being shot. Nezumi gets treated and sheltered by him for a night, then disappears without a trace in the morning.  He hates No.6 and appears to know something about the city that no one seems to know.   

Nezumi is a rude and straightforward person. He has a deep hatred towards No. 6. Though deemed a criminal in the beginning, he seems to be an honorable person.  ~!Which is shown when he saves Shion to repay him for saving himself back when they were 12. He is smart and quick-witted, easily able to defeat 4 officers of the safety bureau and steal their car. It is implied that he created the robot rats in his home which seem to be intelligent enough to follow instructions.  It is revealed in episode 8 that Nezumi is the sole survivor of the forest people. His deep hatred toward No.6 is due to his Forest Home burning down.!~

He won the Robo-One championship several years ago and as a result Akiho tries to get him to joint the robotics club, but he refuses because his father got him to promise he'd stop playing with robots in high school and become a fisherman after graduating. Kaito blackmails him into joining the club with Mr. Pleiades' identity.
