The protagonist, Hiro initially escaped to Senkawa in order to forget baseball. After his elbow was properly diagnosed, he strove to strengthen the newly created Senkawa baseball team as its star pitcher. Hiro was responsible for introducing Hikari to Hideo. Although he throws a good fastball, he has less control over his forkballs. However, since his failed forkballs turn out to be fastballs, it leads to a degree of unpredictability in his pitches. He has also developed a high-speed slider that may only be caught by a professional level catcher. He has belated romantic feelings for his childhood friend, Hikari Amamiya. The reluctant hero and leader of the Sorcerer Hunters, Carrot is the ultimate ladies man, but only in his own mind. The thousands of girls that slap him in the face don&#039;t discourage him on his endless search for love...or a quickie in bed, whichever he can get. The one place he can get love (Tira and Chocolate) is the one place he rejects it. Carrot is the comedy relief and although he seems like a perverted jerk most of the time he does have a good heart.


The son (grandson in the manga) of a Buddhist monk. His body is seen as ideal for ghosts and he is constantly possessed by the ghosts of people, animals, and demons; his friend and fellow Council member Mutsuki has to exorcise him several times a day. He is incredibly amorous of females, particularly the Toilet Hanako of the school and all the other Toilet Hanakos. In the manga, this obsession is a family trait shared by his grandfather Taro Ryudo, owner of the shrine where Kazumi lives.

The main character of the story.  He believes that it is possible for there to be peace between animals and humans alike if given a chance to understand each other. 

Junkers is a Miniature Schnauzer that belongs to Hirome. He is not very fond of cats because of their attitude. He acts like a human, such as using the bathroom, and he can talk, however Hirome warns him to only talk to her. He also has the ability to grant 3 wishes.

Pantyhose Taro has possibly the most unusual curse in the series, having been baptized in the Spring of the Drowned Yeti Holding an Eel and Crane while Riding an Ox after his birth. Unfortunately, it was [Happosai](https://anilist.co/character/17171/) who performed the honor after helping his mother give birth while he was in one of his rare good moods. In Taro's society, the baptizer also receives the honor of naming the child, and he chose "Pantyhose"believing everybody would like it.  Taro enjoys the power his cursed form possesses, even going back to Jusenkyo to get an octopus curse to add tentacles to his back.  A quite cold, sadistic and thoroughly ruthless individual, he is driven entirely by his desire to capture Happosai and be renamed.
