The main character of the series, called Serena in the English dub (nicknamed Bunny in the manga). Usagi is a carefree schoolgirl with an enormous capacity for love, and transforms into the heroine called Sailor Moon. At the beginning of the series she is portrayed as an immature crybaby who hates having to fight, however over the course of the series you come to know her sweet and selfless side.  Usagi is a bit selfish and very much a crybaby, lazy, clumsy, and also an academic underachiever. She’s also not very good at cooking. However, she cares deeply about her friends and family.   Usagi is very trusting, and believes that everyone had a better nature. She doesn’t believe in killing innocent humans, even when they had been transformed into vicious monsters, and always seeks ways to heal them instead. Usagi matures a great deal through the series, and even though she is still prone to some childish behavior and bouts of silliness, she becomes a capable young woman.

Chi-Chi (チチ, Chichi) is the wife of Son Goku, and the mother of Son Gohan and Son Goten. She is often depicted as a sometimes nagging, overprotective but fundamentally well-meaning woman, who sincerely looks for her children and husband's well-being even when their views clash. She and Goku meet as children, and Goku promises to marry her thinking marriage is food. Several years later, she finds him at the 23rd Tenkaichi Budoukai, and despite confessing that he misunderstood what she had meant, he fulfills his promise and asks her to marry him. As she gets older, she disapproves of Goku's lifestyle, enough to ban Gohan from following in his foot steps, but due to the threats like Vegeta and Freeza, she is forced to let him train under Piccolo and Goku. She relaxes this with Goten by training him herself while Gohan is away for school. She has a wild temper and can react in violent anger over the slightest annoyance which means all of the Z Warriors fear her and try to avoid making her mad. Chiaotzu is seemingly a small, doll-like human with plain white skin and red cheeks; his name is based off of the food jiaozi. When first introduced Chiaotzu is a student of the Crane Hermit (a rival of Master Roshi) and the constant companion of fellow student Tien; he quickly amends his ways though and joins Goku and his friends. While not outstanding in physical prowess compared to other superhuman warriors in Dragon Ball, Chiaotzu has considerable potency in psionics, especially in psychokinesis. Chiaotzu is not very well educated, as shown in the Tien Shinhan Saga. There was one part where Krillin was called &quot;squid&quot; due to his shaved head. Krillin angered and said that Chiaotzu was also a bald. But Chiaotzu took off his cap, revealling ONE hair on top of his head (which makes Krillin very angry). Chiaotzu lost the battle in the 22nd Martial Arts Tournament by Krillin&#039;s maths knowledge.    Chiaotzu&#039;s importance in the series rapidly diminishes after his introduction in the Tenshinhan Saga, where he is a major character. He is a minor character in the subsequent Demon King Piccolo, Piccolo Junior and Vegeta sagas, and is more-or-less a background character for the others. Manga
An odd girl with short blue hair and green eyes, a distinctive mole on her left cheek and a very strange history, mainly tied to her mysterious left-eye patch. Powerful and a B-rank, she is one of the Four Devas of Nanyo. She has a habit of wearing a blue miniskirted French maid outfit and specialises in professional wrestling moves, throws, and joint attacks, which she uses in conjunction with a pair of handcuffs she carries; she is also very proficient in making chi blasts. Her earlier life before she became a Toushi is unknown but is hinted as being tragic and painful. She, Teifu, and Saji have been best friends long before the start of the series. Ryomou is in love with Saji and cares for Teifu (who loves her). Ryomou has always fought for the fun of it and considers herself no one's woman. Presumably because of her dragon she has a minor split personality; one is fairly shy and normal and the other is psychosexual. Her psycho side is not nearly as bad as Ryubi, Sousou and Hakufu. Three years prior to the start of the series Ryomou fought Ryubi when her dragon had awakened and saved her life right before Ryubi attempted to rip her own heart out. In the process Ryubi's dragon possessed Ryomou's left-eye and now perfectly coexists with her. Its power even healed her completely after being mortally wounded and stabbed through the heart by Teni. No other characters seem to be in harmony with their dragons as much as Ryomou, but she still seals it with her eye-patch and is believed to be dying because of it. Very few are aware of this, and it is not stated whether she shares Ryubi's dragon or now has her own. While she has it, she is as powerful as the other Three Rulers. Her magical eye may be a reference to the Chinese idiom "To look at a person with a new eye" or reevaluate them or not to judge them by their appearance, an idiom attributed to Lu Meng who was as brilliant a scholar as he was a warrior.

Anime
Ryomou's anime incarnation is much more taciturn and serious than her manga self to the point of being almost unemotional. She is not shy or spoony and acts uninterested in relationships. In one scene she isn't even phased when Saji puts his hand down her shirt and gropes her. Her magatama is also shown as being silver in the first season, and by the second season she is arguably as strong as Myousai, though she retreats during their first battle in order to protect the Dragon Jade. She doesn't have a past relationship to Seito and Ryubi either. Instead her dragon appears to be her own, though how she got it is not known. She also appears to be closer to Hakufu than she does in the manga and goes out of her way to help the Nanyo leader whenever she can. She even went out on her own to find the Dragon Jade to save Hakufu. She was badly injured after being ambushed by Teni. Chou-un came to her rescue but Ryomou awakened her own dragon, defeating Teni. Chou-un was able to knock out Ryomou, bandage her and return her to Nanyo after stealing the Dragon Jade. Chou-un stated that if Ryomou was not injured during the awakening of her dragon, Ryomou would have been able to defeat her. Ryomou recovered to full strength and played a part in the Battle of Chibi, defeating Myosai. She is now working along with Hakufu in a cosplay cafe, dressed as a cat maid (Ryomou even wears a heart-shaped eye-patch).

The wolf girl who is in love with Koga. Long ago, Koga made a promise to marry her, yet he fails to fulfill his promise. She has red hair that are always in two ponytails with an iris in it, green eyes, has white wolf fur draped over her shoulders, a necklace (most likely emerald), and red-and-blue armor. She seems to be an allusion to San.  She doesn't appear in the manga. 

Yaiba lives with his father, Kenjurou, in the forest. One day, while Yaiba was eating, a troop of gorillas came to attack. Yaiba and his father escaped and hid inside a box, but they didn&#039;t know that the box was full of pineapples and was going to be transported into the city. In the city, Yaiba finds out that he is a legendary warrior and has to fight the evil of a demonic looking high-school student named Takeshi Onimaru.

Misa Hayase is one of the central characters of the Macross series. In the Robotech edited adaptation, she is known as Lisa Hayes.    Born into a family with a hundred-year military lineage and the only daughter of Admiral Takashi Hayase, Misa had aspired to enter the military since childhood. This dream was bolstered by a desire to join her boyfriend and first love, Riber Fruhling, in the UN Spacy, ~! a hope tragically unrealized as he dies shortly after leaving Misa on Earth. !~    After graduating first in her class at the UN Spacy Officers&#039; Academy, she earned a bridge post aboard the SDF-1 Macross. As she herself admits, her mind is constantly preoccupied with duty. This changes, however, after she meets the young pilot Hikaru Ichijyo. Nodoka is the second person to establish a probationary contract with Negi and gain a pactio card (it occured during the field trip to Kyoto). Her artifact is a book that can show one's thoughts in picture diary format. 

The main character of the series. Sally is the daughter of the Witch-King, and therefore princess of the Witch-World. Yumeno means "in a dream" in Japanese.

Tsume Inuzuka is the mother of Hana and Kiba Inuzuka. Tsume has the same abilities as the rest of the Inuzuka Clan. She fights with her beloved companion, Kuromaru. It is currently unknown as to exactly what power she possesses, but since she is a Tokubetsu Jonin she is obviously an extremely skillful fighter. She can also use the Dual Piercing Fang as well as many more combinations with Kuromaru.

Tsubaki is Mizuki&#039;s lover. She claims that Mizuki used to be a sweet man, but ever since he got involved with Orochimaru, her relationship with Mizuki has faltered. When he escapes from prison she is able to help catch him. After she interrogates Mizuki about having a grudge against one who put his life on the line during Orochimaru&#039;s attack, Mizuki knocks out Tsubaki, who he apparently does not love anymore. While Akane is generally shown as compassionate and helpful towards anyone in trouble, she's also a vulnerable, stubborn, relentless, and very short-tempered girl. She frequently becomes angry and jealous, and is apt to hit Ranma, often a reaction to Ranma's own bad traits like his smart mouth and insensitivity, but also due to rampant paranoia and willingness to generally believe the worst of the situations she finds him in. Despite her temper, Akane has a more prominent gentle side. She has come to the aid of her rivals, even consistently feeling compassion towards or helping people who try to make her life miserable. Most of her flaws can be attributed to insecurities about her own attractiveness, skill, or lack of traditionally feminine talents.

An 11-year-old young girl from France and powerful shaman in her own right, Jeanne is the leader of the X-Laws. Her title of Iron Maiden refers to the fact spends nearly all her time inside an iron maiden in order to increase her strength by keeping her in a near death state. She rarely leaves it unless she is desperately needed, believing her suffering will bring justice to the world. Her iron maiden, however, was crushed most likely beyond repair.  She is known for her red eyes and very pale hair and almost fragile appearance. She is extremely charismatic; in the English anime Tamao Tamamura calls her a "princess" after hearing her speak for the first time.  Little is known about Jeanne's history or family situation. Supposedly she is named after Jeanne D'Arc (Joan of Arc), one of the Patron Saints of France. The series states that Jeanne was a French country girl with shaman powers, who received a divine revelation at the age of ten while praying in a Catholic church. A cross of light appeared and a mysterious voice revealed to her the world was to be destroyed unless it was purged of an evil force. Recognizing the evil force to be Hao Asakura, Jeanne chose to become a shaman.  Jeanne's passionate hatred of Hao derives from the fact she believes him to be the ultimate evil. While she believes herself to be a martyr of sorts and is still very soft-spoken and compassionate towards the X-Laws, specially towards young Lyserg Diethel (she defended and praised Lyserg several times when Marco was too hard on him), she has become detached from humanity and is unable to see that not everything is black and white.  In a way, Jeanne is like Hao, since she kills whoever stands in her way indiscriminately, if they don't surrender to her pleas for peace. They both believe that they are helping the world and their actions will be justified by the end results. The difference is that Jeanne honestly believes she is stopping the fighting and is blinded with the belief that her fighting is helping despite the deaths caused, while Hao is fully aware of his evil and the true nature of his actions.  When in her armored form, Jeanne wears sandals with spikes going into her feet (yet they do not pierce her) and also wears a giant lock on her abdominal region, like a chastity belt. These two items seem to represent self-flagellation.Though she is seen as emotionless, her eyes will well up with tears, and the eyes on the face of the Iron Maiden will cry tears of blood when she herself feels sad and needs to cry.   ~!In the manga, it is revealed that Jeanne was not actually a savior with an omnipotent type of purity. She was an orphan girl taken by the original leader of the X-Laws, Luchist, who became one of Hao's followers. Jeanne, herself, is no more than an ordinary girl who was granted shamanic powers. She is attacked alongside Marco and Lyserg Diethel by Anahol, the brother of a man who was killed by Jeanne during the Shaman Fight. After being revived by Sati, she along with Lyserg, and Marco joined Yoh in the semi-finals of the tournament. She later revived Ren(for the second time), and Horo-horo after being killed by one of the patch officials. She exhausted all her furyoku and decided to stay at the plant of the valley.!~

Eliza is Faust&#039;s first, only, and one true love.  

She was ill with a fatal disease since her childhood. As the only woman to care for Faust VIII, he, in return, slaved over his studies to find a cure for her. After her recovery, they married and opened a clinic together. She and Faust were very happy living together... until their home was broken into and the burglar, armed with a gun, killed Eliza, who was the only one in the clinic at the time. Now she serves as Faust&#039;s main spirit as he works to become Shaman King and revive her. As Faust grows stronger, she becomes more lifelike. Although he was unable to revive her yet, Anna was able to summon her spirit back to Earth allowing Faust to communicate and see her. Because of this Faust&#039;s power became even more stronger because of the fact that he now possess a real main human spirit. Also later in the anime series she was able to talk and say more lines than before.    

She was born on June 29, 1963 and was 26 when she died.

She may be named after the stage where The Tragical History of Doctor Faustus was first at.

Emeraldas has been compared many times to Captain Harlock, and the two have some similarities. They also know each other from the days of the Voice of Free Arcadia, when she fought side by side with him and Tochirou, the man who is their common bond. After the Ilumidus resistance, Emeraldas became much like Harlock, sailing the sea of stars and delivering justice in her own unique way.  Emeraldas is one of the few people who know the route of Count Mecha's Time Castle, and when her ship, the Queen Emereldas, appears next to the Galaxy Express, Tetsuro doesn't hesitate to get her attention. Emeraldas would've killed Tetsuro if it weren't for two things. First, Maetel (whom she also knows) is with him. Second, Tetsuro has Tochirou's hat and laser. She listens and then tells Tetsuro where the Time Castle will next appear: Trader's Fork, on the planet of Heavy Melder.  Some time after she leaves, she realizes something is happening on Heavy Melder, something that had to do with Tochirou. She arrives too late. Harlock tells her he's already dead. She leaves but later receives a message. It's from Tochirou, whose soul had been successfully integrated into the Arcadia. Learning that it was Tetsuro who had helped him, she realizes that she owes him a favor, and she proceeds to Andromeda, to repay the favor. She and Tetsuro will cross path a few more times.  Emeraldas is a very lonely soul, especially after the death of Tochirou. Her closest companion, like herself, is a wanderer. Asuka is the best female duelist in Duel Academy. She has a very keen sight for details and reads everyone one of her opponents moves. She forces her opponents to play their best cards, that way making her victory much more satisfying. And yet she has some attraction to Judai's personality. Being the smartest at the academy among all the girls, Asuka has many boys finding her attractive. However, Asuka's main interest is more about the game than love. In the anime, Asuka plays a "Cyber Girl" deck while in the manga she plays an "Ice" deck.   ~!In the second season of Yu-Gi-Oh!
