One of the editors of the Weekly Shōnen Jump. He is a thin, odd-looking man with a wide-eyed gaze and distinctive lips. Hattori Akira was Akito Takagi's and Moritaka Mashiro's editor. He helped them with their names and eventually got them serialized for Detective Trap. Once they got serialized, however, Hattori had to hand them over to Miura due to conflicting responsibilities.   Hattori is often portrayed as one of the calmer and more calculated editors in the series. He comes across as a very wise and experienced editor which leaves him raising his voice only when he sees it absolutely necessary to do so. He is very fond of Takagi and Mashiro and continues to be interested in their progression as mangakas, offering off-hand advice to Miura when he can. Hattori is editing One Piece. Hattori's face (especially his lips and eyes) resemble the character Ryuk from the manga Death Note which is drawn by Takeshi Obata. The character was inspired by Jean-Baptiste Akira Hattori, a real life editor who worked with One Piece

A third-year student at Nanyo Academy with blond hair and a light tan, and one of Nanyo's Big Four. He is one of Ryomou's oldest friends (whom he refers to as "Mou-chan"), and has feelings for both her and Housen Ryofu; even so, he is also a complete womanizer. His actual ranking as a fighter is unknown, as he never actually wears his magatama in public, but in fights he has shown himself to be an A-rank easily. One of his primary goals as Ouin was to remove Totaku from power, which, like his historical namesake, he accomplishes by convincing Ryofu to assassinate him. 

__Manga version__:
In order to further Hakufu's mastery of the Water Dragon Fist, Saji fully donned the magatama and identity of Ouin, granting him great power and also slightly altering his appearance. Engaging Hakufu in deadly combat, he intentionally awakens her dragon, then, using his experience with Ryubi's dragon three years ago, absorbs the dragon's negative energy into himself, snapping Hakufu back to normal and placing the dragon's power completely under her control, though at the cost of losing one of his arms in the process. Infected with the dragon's evil and knowing he doesn't have much time left, he declares that he is no longer Saji but Ouin, and that he has already lived longer than he should have. Telling Hakufu not to cry for someone like him, he commits suicide by jumping off a nearby cliff in a manner eerily similar to Totaku's death, his last thoughts of Ryofu. At the same time, even though she was far away, Ryomou is suddenly struck with the knowledge that Saji would not be coming back.  Anime Version  

__Anime version__:
HE is more sinister, even going so far as to have Kannei murder Enjutsu in order to take control of Nanyo for himself, the act of which driving Kannei insane. He has the power to hypnotize and control the minds of humans, treating them more like pawns than friends. He is more obsessed with Totaku's demise, and tried to take control of Hakufu as well, but failed when Totaku tried to possess her and was eaten by her dragon. He resolves to atone afterwards, and has secluded himself in the mountains somewhere. He reappears in Dragon Destiny in order to stop Koukin from traveling to Kyosho to stop Hakufu from fighting Kanu. When he returns, he immediately goes back to his womanizing ways, flirting with Ryomou, Ryubi, Chouhi, and Bashoku at separate points in the anime. He and Ryomou defeat Myosai at the Battle of Red Cliffs, and returns to his womanising ways again at the end of the series.   It is revealed in Great Guardians that there really is another fighter who goes by the name of Genpou Saji, revealing that Saji's name was actually not an alias. The real Saji meets with him and in exchange for reviving Ryofu, wanted to obtain Ryomou's dragon by putting on a lover's "act" for Ryomou, in order to build up her jealous emotions so that her dragon would be released. Ouin, for the most part, went with the plan. However, it was to save not only Ryomou and Ryofu but Saji herself as well.

Best friend to Sousou and Kakouton, he was destined to die of cancer but somehow managed to be cured. He oddly flickered like a ghost around Kaku, his sweet-heart. Reasonably strong and highly manipulative (perhaps even against Sousou himself), he was put into a coma by Bashoku Youjou, who framed Kannei for the attack.  

__Anime version__:
The same as in the manga except that he did not suffer from cancer and was killed by Bashoku instead of being put into a coma. He is stabbed in the heart rather than in the back and dies from his wounds. He was much stronger as well, being able to defeat Ryomou very easily in the first season. Bashoku had to resort to poisoning before being able to kill him.

An Akugyo Chojin from Monaco trained by Sunshine. At first he is a sadist that is incapable of feeling pain, this is however his greatest weakness as his body itself is being damaged, he simply cannot feel it. But after being bested by Mantaro, he turns over a new leaf and became a New Generation Seigi Chojin. In the Ultimate Choujin Tag Arc he turned down Seiuchin&#039;s offer to form a tag team. Because of this, he became the first victim of Seiuchin and Neptuneman&#039;s Optical Fiber Cross Bomber, resulting in the skin on his face being peeled off. His attacks are modeled after chess pieces for King, Knight, and Rook. He can fuse them and his normal form together in a technique known as Grand Slam. When Reborn Ashuraman and the Demon Seed separate Meat&#039;s body in order to revive General Terror, Check Mate joins forces with Jade to help Kevin Mask train for his match against Voltman. Brocken Jr.&#039;s German pupil, first introduced as a member of Generation EX. His nickname is &quot;Berlin&#039;s Green Arrow&quot;, as he wears a green uniform and bicyclist&#039;s helmet. An orphan, he was raised by an elderly couple, who were subsequently slain by a trio of anti-superhuman thugs. This incident was what inspired Jade to seek Brocken&#039;s guidance in becoming a champion for those unable to defend themselves. (In the English dub of the anime, he is later revealed to be Brocken&#039;s son, though this is not the case in the English manga.) Jade&#039;s ultimate attack is Brocken&#039;s &quot;The Red Rain of Pain&quot; (a.k.a. &quot;Red Rain of Berlin&quot;, a chop-like attack capable of cutting right through a superhuman&#039;s body). According to Brocken, it works on the principle of &quot;cutting the flesh to cut the meat, cutting the meat to cut the bone, cutting the bone to cut the core&quot;. However, Jade&#039;s version differs from Brocken&#039;s in that Jade actually causes a blade to protrude from his hand before slashing, and his hand/arm is usually engulfed in flames before he delivers the attack. Jade&#039;s second favourite move is the &quot;Beefcake Hammer&quot;, where he shifts behind the opponent, raises one of his opponent&#039;s legs and crosses the opponent&#039;s arms around it before executing a leaping suplex. In a grueling concrete deathmatch, Jade is defeated by Scarface in Maui, Hawaii, and fails to enter the finals. Though Scarface twists off Jade&#039;s right arm, it is later reattached. He later participates in the Chojin Crown. Unfortunately, he suffers another defeat, this time to yet another dMp member in disguise; Ricardo. 

Brocken Jr. is the son of German Nazi Zangyaku Choujin (残虐超人, Brutal Superman) Brockenman (ブロッケンマン). He looks very similar to his father and wears the same uniform. However, he never portrays any Nazi beliefs. Because his father is murdered by Ramenman he initially hates Ramenman as his father's enemy, but after being touched by his greatness they enter into a sensei and pupil type relationship. He later joins Kinnikuman and the Idol Choujins and defeats many an Evil Choujin with his young German Spirit (ゲルマン魂, Geruman Tamashii?). Unlike his father, Brocken was raised as a Seigi Choujin (正義超人, Justice Superman), although he'll sometimes fight in his father's brutal style. The Brocken Family of which he belongs is human, and when a young man reaches adulthood he is given a Totenkopf (ドクロの徽章, Dokuro no Kishou) to wear on his uniform, which turns him into a Choujin. The proof of his Choujin body is the Swastika tattoos that appear on his arms. His name was originally spelled as Brocken Junior (ブロッケンジュニア). Wataru is a Dragon-type Trainer, a member of the Indigo Elite Four, the Pokémon Champion of the Indigo Plateau and also a member of the Pokémon G-Men detective organization. He specializes in Dragon-type Pokémon.

Harrison (Japanese: ハヅキ Hazuki) is a character from the Pok&eacute;mon anime. He began his journey in Littleroot Town, Hoenn, and competed in the Silver Conference. His Japanese voice actor is 鳥海勝美 Katsumi Toriumi, his Latin-American Spanish voice actor is Enzo Fortuny and his English voice actor is Wayne Grayson.    He first appeared in Pop Goes the Sneasel. Along with Ash and his friends, Harrison tried to ward off a wild Sneasel that was guarding the sacred Ho-Oh flame. Harrison promised that he would capture it. Using his Houndoom, he did just that.    After many cameos during the qualifying rounds of the Silver Conference, Harrison appeared next in Can't Beat the Heat, where he and Ash began their six-on-six battle. It continued in Playing with Fire and Johto Photo Finish. In the latter episode, Harrison defeated Ash, but went on to lose to Jon Dickson.    It was Harrison who convinced Ash to go to the Hoenn region. He told Ash all about Professor Birch and about all the Pok&eacute;mon that Ash had probably never seen before. 

Professor Alden (Japanese: ウメズ教授 Professor Umezu) was a one-time character of the anime who appeared in the episode A Ruin with a View. He was an archaeologist who had his base in the Pok&eacute;mon Center of Oldale Town.    He showed Ash and May the nearby ruins and informed them about the Pok&eacute;mon that resided there. Suddenly Team Magma members arrived and blackmailed Alden so that he could give them access to the ruins. He was then kidnapped by Team Magma. Ultimately, he succumbed to their threats and opened up a secret chamber of the ruins with the help of four colored orbs for the Magma members to enter. Team Magma inspected the room and then went away dissatisfied, leaving Alden unharmed.    Ash and May arrived on the scene just too late and saw Team Magma escaping in a helicopter. The Professor then took them to a deeper part of the ruins after Pikachu Thunderbolted Team Rocket away. There, he showed them a lake filled with the prehistoric Pok&eacute;mon Relicanth. Butler was fired from working with Team Magma because an experiment to create a Groudon  from a fossilized remnant of it had failed. He realized that he needed a stronger energy source for the regeneration process. The power that he sought was only available once in a millennium. Butler and his girlfriend, Diane found the crystallized &quot;cocoon&quot; of Jirachi in Forina.    When Ash, Brock, May and Max found Butler at the Millennium Festival, Butler presented Jirachi to Max because Max was supposedly the friend that Jirachi needed to find so it can awaken when the Millennium Comet comes.    When Jirachi awoken from its thousand-year sleep, Butler set up his machine and gave it a test-run a night later. Diane informed Ash and the gang what Butler was up to and decided to take Jirachi back home. Butler had his Mightyena place a tracking device on Diane&#039;s van.    When Jirachi was sent home and was about to go back to sleep for another thousand years, Butler showed up out of nowhere and snatched Jirachi. Butler then used Jirachi&#039;s power in the hopes to create a Groudon from scratch. However, he wound up with a manifestation of pure evil that resembled Groudon.    When the false Groudon started sucking up every Pok&eacute;mon in sight, Butler begged Ash and Max (everyone else was sucked up by the false Groudon) to forgive him and help him to set his machine in reverse to get rid of the big, red abomination. The plan was a success and the false Groudon was destroyed and everyone was released. After Jirachi finally went back to sleep, Butler and Diane decided to stay and protect the Pok&eacute;mon of Forina.    While Butler&#039;s only major role was in Jirachi: Wish Maker, he and Diane made a cameo during the ending-credits of Lucario and the Mystery of Mew. 

Kudari is an old acquaintance of Den'ts, having first met at a rail enthusiasts convention. Kudari refers to Nobori as "big brother" in the original version of the anime indicating that he is the younger of the twins.

Natsuya is a Pok&eacute;mon Ranger. He is the male player character in Pok&eacute;mon Ranger: Locus of Light.   Natsuya made his debut in the game&#039;s anime special, SS022 (Pokemon Ranger:Hikari No Kiseki)  where he attempted to stop the Pok&eacute;mon Nappers from gaining control of other Pok&eacute;mon. However, he was later attacked, which caused him to come crashing down to an island where the Ukulele Pichu was located.    Natsuya made his debut appearance in the main series in DP169 where he was assigned to bring a rare Heatran that knows Eruption to a wild park for it&#039;s safety.    He was also shown to have a very optimistic attitude, thanks to his grandfather&#039;s advice when he was younger. Eventually with the help of Ash and co., he managed to capture Heatran via his Capture Styler and helped it escape to safety. 

He and Sheena are the guardians of the Michina ruins. They are extremely interested in their town&#039;s mythology and travel extensively to research it, especially the impact that Arceus&#039;s awakening has on the Dragon trio&#039;s dimensions. They were present near the plateau of Alamos Town as it was returned to the proper dimension by Palkia at the end of The Rise of Darkrai and later visited the glacier in Gracidea to see Zero&#039;s ship after it crashed during the climax of Giratina and the Sky Warrior.     Sheena and him explained the legend of Damos to Ash and friends and was present when Arceus attacked Michina Town. While Sheena and the others time traveled to the past thanks to Dialga, he stayed behind and watched the fight between Arceus and the dragon trio. It is also presumed that he has some sort of a romantic relationship with Sheena.

He is a newspaper reporter from Crown City and he wants to discover the secret of Kodai.     

Lorenzo (Japanese: ボンゴレ Vongole) is a primary character from Pok&eacute;mon Heroes. He is the grandfather of Bianca, and is also curator of the city's museum, a gondola builder and the protector of Latios and Latias. He is a kind man with much wisdom but can be stern and angry at times.     He first appears during Ash's visit to the museum where he explains the history of the city and the Defense Mechanism of Altomare (DMA). Ash is distracted by the presence of Bianca (although it was Latias in disguise who Ash saved - Ash is just confused by their likenesses) and nearly gets in trouble for leaning on the DMA. He follows Bianca, and Latias to the secret garden of Latios and Latias. Lorenzo arrives just in time to prevent Latios from harming Ash and Pikachu, and allows Latias to play with them. He shows Ash the Soul Dew and explains he knew the father of the two guardians, and how he became theirs after their father died.     Lorenzo, Bianca and Ash leave the garden, they cut through Lorenzo's workshop where he constructs gondolas. He is later knocked out by Annie's Espeon . He is later found by Bianca and they go to the museum where they are captured and bound by Ariados. They can only watch helplessly as the DMA is used by Oakley and Latios is hurt by the effects. Ash, Latias and Pikachu come to save them and stop the DMA. Lorenzo warns Annie not to touch the corrupted Soul Dew but she is too slow to hear him and causes the DMA to go out of control. Lorenzo is present at the sacrifice of Latios and is the first to realize he has died. He later bids farewell to Ash, Misty and Brock as they leave the city. He is seen in the credits with a construction crew appearing to be either rebuilding or fixing the DMA in the museum.     

The hot-headed, fight-enjoying main character. While he loves a good fight, he detests pointless cruelty and never kills. His preferred weapon is a boken (wooden sword). The true identity of Benitora is Tokugawa Hidetada. His father, Tokugawa Ieyasu, ordered him to spy on Kyo, but Benitora does this for fun and serves as the comic relief of the group. His weapon is the Hokuraku Shimon (Demon Spear) created by Muramasa. He falls in love with Yuya the first time he meets her and tends to be over-protective of her. In order to hide his true identity as heir to the Shogunate from her, he speaks with a noticeable Kansai accent when near her.  He first meets Kyoshiro in volume 2, mistaking him for Kyo. After sparring with Kyoshiro, he decides to join the group. When Kyo awakens in volume 3, he makes Benitora his #2 servant after a short fight.  During the Forest Arc, he fights a former fellow disciple of his master, Mekira II. Mekira has the upper hand for most of the fight thanks to a hypnotic technique, but Benitora eventually sees through it and kills Mekira with a special technique of his own, although doing so exacerbates his injuries.  When Nobunaga reappears and overwhelms Kyo, Benitora intervenes, blocking the killing blow and briefly fighting Nobunaga one-on-one. He is completely outmatched, but eventually manages to unhorse Nobunaga with another secret technique, the reverse Hassun, almost killing himself in the process; he is saved from death at Nobunaga's hands by the revitalized Kyo.  He had a great part in Mibu arc, he fought Taihaku, the leader of Goyosei and won. He also fight against Crimson Tower army while his friend Akira battled with Tokito. In the last battle he and Sasuke successfully retrieved the Crimson King heart.  In the bonus chapter he continued study to lead Japan in future with Mahiro in his side. It is earlier implied in his fight against the real Kubira that it's Mahiro, not Yuya, that he really has feelings for.

Tokagero is a 600 year old spirit from the same time as Amidamaru. He was a thief who was eventually killed by Amidamaru and because he wanted revenge he was not able to pass on. Because of his hatred he eventually turned his skin lizard green. During his life time he became infamous and even gained his own fighting style called Tokage Kenpo (Lizard Style). He always calls himself a nasty villain but is in reality a big softie who only misses the comfort of a mother&#039;s care.    

When he was alive, Tokagero was a thief that was born into poverty. Tokagero was forced to eat his own dead mother to survive. He then became a thief ambushing people. An ancient bandit, he stole everything--money, food, lives and even more so. He led a horde of bandits who terrorized the area 600 years ago.    

There was a hill Tokagero and his group used as a hideout, but one day Amidamaru passed by and was ambushed by them. However, being the stronger one, Amidamaru killed Tokagero and his group.     

In the modern age Tokagero attacks Asakura Yoh and his friends in order to get revenge on Amidamaru, who does not recall him at all. Through Kyoyama Anna research, they learn that he is an obscure historical figure who was killed by Amidamaru. Tokagero possesses Yoh&#039;s friend Umemiya Ryunosuke &quot;Wooden Sword&quot; Ryu and uses him to steal the Harusame (Sword of Light) from the museum and attack Yoh and Amidamaru. The fight that ensues forces Yoh and Amidamaru to break the Harusame in order to save Ryu&#039;s life.    

Yoh appeals to Tokagero and allows him to possess him instead of Ryu, who is just an innocent bystander, because Yoh believes that Tokagero is not as evil as he claims. Togakero does so, with the supposed intention of killing Yoh in the process, but finds he does not have the heart to and leaves Yoh&#039;s body peacefully.

A master swordsman, Ruka is former captain of the fencing team and occasional member of the Student Council. He considers Juri to be the most talented member of the club and considers himself her mentor.     ~!        * Rose: Blue          * Rose Bride: Shiori Takatsuki          * Sword: Rapier          * (Anime) Drive to Duel: To give Juri, the one he loves, the power of miracles.    In the manga, Anthy served as Ruka&#039;s Rose Bride on several occasions before he left the school due to an unknown illness. He reappears at the school after a prolonged absence, claiming that he has recovered, though still not well enough to duel. He pushes Juri to duel Utena once again, but she throws the match after overhearing what she thinks is Ruka discussing with Touga how he&#039;s manipulating her. When she refuses to duel, Ruka himself is forced to duel Utena, and the strain causes a relapse of his illness. As he lies on the dueling field, he confesses to Juri that he pushed her because he thought she was the one worthy of Dios&#039;s power. He is hospitalized and dies, to Juri&#039;s disbelief. Touga comments that Juri was in love with Ruka first, but when he left she switched her love to Touga. Ruka explains that he left Juri without saying goodbye to avoid the painful farewell. 
In the anime, it is not clear whether or not Ruka was a Duelist before he returns. When he returns, he takes Shiori as his girlfriend, though it's made clear that he was simply manipulating her. He duels Utena once with Shiori as his Rose Bride and loses. He then dumps Shiori and begins to court Juri. From him we learn that it was Juri who told him, &quot;If you believe in miracles they will occur.&quot; Ruka says he is in love with Juri and kisses her during a fencing match; he states that he believes she was in love with him before he disappeared. As in the manga, it is due to his feelings for her that he wants her to claim the power of Dios and defeat Utena in order to save her from her burdens. Juri denies she was ever in love with him. Ruka subsequently appears as Juri's Rose Bride in her final duel, after which he leaves the school. His death is reported by the Shadow Girls, though unlike the manga, the reality of his death is debatable.!~

Phibrizzo is the most ancient of the mazoku next to Dark Lord Shabranigdo and the antagonist of the series.Like all mazoku he wishes for the world to return to the Sea of Chaos and will kill anyone who gets in his way regardless of thier alligence. The other mazoku lords despise him,but obey him out of fear.He is known by his title Hellmaster for his power over souls and can literally make anyone die whenever he wishes.As such,the spells which draw power from him deal with the undead. In the past he devised the plan that led to the Water Dragon God's death by creating the God Sealing Barrier and attacking while she was in a weakened state,now his plan is to make Lina use the Giga Slave spell she created as it has the ability to summon the Sea of Chaos into the world.

When Sakuya was six years old, he died in a car accident with his mother. However, the spirit of Alexiel&#039;s seven-bladed Holy Sword Nanatsusaya saves him.

Masashi is Hiroyuki&rsquo;s best friend; he&rsquo;s very peaceful, with an air of quiet optimism. Whenever there&rsquo;s any sort of argument or ruckus, Masashi is usually the cool head that calms everyone down and gets them back on track. &nbsp;&nbsp;    You might not expect it from such an easygoing, soft-spoken guy, but Masashi&rsquo;s actually quite good at sports, and is always busy with club activities. &nbsp;
