Ayuko is very dominant and disciplined, she requires a lot of involvment in work from her staff. Furthermore her methods of learning need some changes, because they're not suitable for students. Ritsuko Akagi is NERV's head scientist and is heavily involved in the repairs and maintenance of Tokyo-3's defenses against the Angels, particularly the Evas.  She is the daughter of Naoko Akagi, the developer of the MAGI supercomputer system which controls Nerv. In many ways, Ritsuko is living in the shadow of her mother, whom she both admires and despises. Naoko was the head scientist working on the Evangelion project before her death, and Ritsuko is continuing the work her mother began with the Evas, as well as continuing the development of the Magi supercomputer system. Flashbacks to a teenaged Ritsuko reveal that she is a natural brunette, just like her mother.

Ritsuko is extremely intelligent, with a strong dedication to her work and a stoic, detached attitude which is frequently contrasted against Misato Katsuragi's hot-headness, especially during Eva combat. Her occasional jibes at Misato are a source of comic relief in the series. She has a great affinity for cats, and Misato chides her at one point for substituting her cats for human affection. She also is a heavy smoker, as evidenced by an ashtray on her desk filled with cigarette butts stained by her lipstick.

Heavy gunsmith with all sorts of weapons. She&#039;s a hot tempered, foul-mouthed young woman that is easily irritated by many people. Most of her past is unknown.

Kei is a Trouble Consultant with the WWWA, an intergalactic "peace organization", with military interventionist tendancies. She and her partner, [Yuri](https://anilist.co/character/15655), are genetically enhanced, making them excellent fighters. Together, they are charged with taking care of problems for the WWWA, often involving bountyhunter-type activites, assasination, and occasion diplomatic missions. Wherever the two travel, massive destruction occurs, this has given the two the nickname "Dirty Pair". Whole planets sometimes begin evacuation when word of their arrival spreads. For that reason, they travel discreetly whenever possible.

Kei is the more assertive of the two. She flirts with men constantly, often leading to trouble, and is a vicious spoilsport with a short fuse. Her weapon of choice is usually a very large gun, and she gets very excited when given an opportunity to fire a huge weapon. She has a tendancy towards violence and overreacting, which is tamed by Yuri's mild demeanor and contemplativeness. It can be said that while Kei is a total horndog for men, she truly, deeply cares about only one thing- and that's Yuri.

Kei has bright red hair (which becomes two-tone yellow and deep orange in the sequel series "Dirty Pair Flash"). She is rather lean, and athletically built.

Haruka is the first generation mamono hunter. She comes to the present, along with Yohko who had been thrown back in time by Tokima, where she and Yohko join forces to battle Tokima.

Suhendan "Sue" Ulu is an American voice actress specializing in English voice dubs for anime. Ulu was once an officer in the United States Navy. She has done stage acting in the Houston, Texas area, as well as dubbing work for AD Vision, where her other well-known role is as Dr. Ritsuko Akagi in Neon Genesis Evangelion. She moved to Los Angeles in 1999 to pursue her acting career, where she has appeared in a number of films and in live theatre. She has been a Guest at Anime Expo 2001 and 2002, Fanime 2002, and AniMagic 2002 and 2003. In her spare time, she also races catamarans.
