Genma Shiranui replaces Hayate Gekko as examiner of the main matches of the Chunin Exams after Hayate is killed. "Shiranui" means "phosphorescent light". Genma is often seen with a senbon in his mouth. He uses this as a weapon, spitting it out at the enemy to attack them, or to deflect ranged weapon attacks. When the invasion of Konoha begins, Genma battles Baki off-screen, presumably to a draw since both of them come out of the fight relatively unscathed. He later appears with Raido Namiashi to confront the Sound Four, who are forced to go level 2 of their cursed seals to defeat them. The Sound Four later comment that if it hadn't been for their cursed seals, Genma and Raido would have defeated them.

Zarude is a bipedal Pokémon that resembles a monkey. Its body is mainly black with greyish tints. Four green rings surround each of its two arms along with two identical green markings on its hands. It has green eyes with red sclera along with a long black tail. On its chest is a gray marking resembling that of a rib-cage.

Ginga appears to be generally laid back (he is often seen sleeping and he generally does whatever he feels like doing) unless something happens to his friends or his beyblade or he has to fight in a beybattle. He would surely do anything to save his blade if it were to be somehow damaged. What is certain though is that this Japanese boy is not afraid to fight 100 beyblades! But he believes in his friend's (Pegasus') power, so he is victorious.

Yūko Maekawa - A 3rd dan, Doppo's son and current prodigy of Shinshinkai karate. ~!He fights Roland Gustof in round 1 defeating him easily before fighting Hanayama Kaoru and fighting a more even round 2 using his sonic fists technique. In round 3 he loses miserably to Retsu Kaioh getting knocked out in 1 punch. Retsu was impressed that Katsumi could take one of his punches. A rematch in the 'Search of Our Strongest Hero' series is interrupted when the convict Dorian comes into the Shinshinkai building and attacks Katsumi. Katsumi also later trains the convict Doyle in Shinshinkai Karate. In the anime it is revealed that Doppo is actually Katsumi's adoptive father. The final moments of the anime show him washing up at Doppo's home. He has a fight with Pickle which he loses despite his new Mach Punch technique, and as a result he got his right arm torn off and several limbs broken. He is seen in hospital recovering from his wounds shortly after.!~

Mikuri is a highly accomplished Trainer and Coordinator who specializes in Water-type Pokémon. He is the Gym Leader of Sootopolis City's Gym, known officially as the Sootopolis Gym, awarding the Rain Badge to those who defeat him.
