Katsuki is a crude, arrogant, short-tempered, and aggressive person, especially at the beginning of the series. Due to the constant praise of his abilities and powerful Quirk, Katsuki has developed a superiority complex, and because of that, he desires to be the first and best at everything. He loves to win above all else and cannot stand it when he doesn't, leading him to lose his already short temper if he achieves anything but a complete victory.

Katsuki is not only very athletic and talented at fighting, but also very intelligent and extremely perceptive, capable of strategic planning and improvisation. Additionally, his grades are among the highest of his class. Katsuki also possesses surprising talent in other areas, such as cooking and music, even though he doesn't show a particular interest in them. Overall, Katsuki is considered a natural-born genius with the potential to be one of the best Pro Heroes.

Katsuki's Quirk "Explosion" allows him to secrete nitroglycerin-like sweat from the palms of his hands and ignite it on command, allowing him to create strong explosions. The more Katsuki sweats, the stronger his explosions become. Not only can Katsuki use the explosions for attacking, he can also use them to propel himself and navigate through the air at high speeds, allowing him to fly at his opponents without giving them time to react, as well as evade incoming attacks, even while in the air. The shockwave from an explosion can even be used as a shield.

Mikazuchi Rei, also known as The Lightning God, is an assassin from the Mikazuchi Clan and the current master of the Raishin Style. During the Kengan Annihilation Tournament, he represented the Gold Pleasure Group as their affiliated fighter; he was one of three assassins in the tournament. He is an extremely confident man, bordering on arrogance, believing himself unbeatable due to his martial arts style.

Rei is an attractive young man with a youthful face, voluminous spiky black hair with two very large bangs that fall either side of his face, eyes with a bored look in them and a powerfully defined physique.

Roy Mustang is a state alchemist and officer in the Amestrian state military. A hero of the Ishval Civil War and [Edward Elric](https://anilist.co/character/11/Edward-Elric)’s superior officer, Mustang is a remarkably capable commander who plans to become the next Führer of Amestris.

Mustang is a clean-shaven young man with dark eyes. His dark hair is casually unkempt, falling over his eyes; in more formal or somber situations, however, he is known to wear it neatly slicked back. A great fan of classy attire, Mustang is rarely seen out of uniform (and even while in uniform will often don other accouterments, such as a long, black overcoat and white formal-wear gloves), but when dressed in civilian clothes, he appears rather partial to the three-piece suit and black tie (frequently coupled with classic scarves, polished dress shoes, and the aforementioned overcoat and gloves). He tends toward dark or neutral colors in his dress, such as dark blue, brown, and black tempered with minimal white.

On the surface, Mustang is presented as a shallow, self-absorbed, and incorrigible womanizer who is infamous among many of his colleagues and subordinates alike for the selfish and narcissistic aura he gives off. Easily as arrogant as Edward Elric, Mustang is one to act ostentatiously and appears to act mostly out of self-interest rather than any sort of philanthropy. He comes off to most as a sort of cocky layabout, shirking most of his duties and delegating his paperwork to subordinates while sitting idly at his desk with an amused smile on his face as he procrastinates, but is quick to take action when it appears that there is glory and military notoriety to be gained. Mustang is expertly manipulative and prone to think several steps ahead of those around him, giving him a remarkable talent for making subordinates act exactly as he wishes despite appearing not to have had a hand in their decisions - all traits which make the fact that he has managed to attain the lofty rank of colonel at such a young age a matter of public gossip.

Mustang also has a reputation of being a shameless flirt, and it's rumored that he spends much of his time cavorting about town with various women and wooing several of the servicewomen with his abundant charm, good looks, and charisma. This adds another facet to his unpopularity among the enlisted men, many of whom fear having sweethearts and crushes romanced away from them by his hand. He has, however, never actually been shown to be on a serious date with any woman; any flirtatious interactions he had with women seemed to be nothing more than a cover to discretely pass along information.

At the core, Mustang is a remarkably devoted commander whose primary focus and personal duty is to his friends and subordinates. Though he hides it well behind a veil of cynicism and self-importance, Mustang is a man who cares deeply about the people who trust and support him and goes to great lengths to ensure their safety and well-being, even at the risk of his own. As a man with considerable power, Mustang considers himself a protector to those without and acts accordingly, earning the staunch loyalty of his most trusted compatriots.

Orphaned at a young age, Mustang was adopted by his father's younger sister, who brought him up intending to make him into a fine gentleman. Presumably, in his teens, he discovered an affinity for alchemy and took basic instruction in the craft from master alchemist [Berthold Hawkeye](https://anilist.co/character/75922/Berthold-Hawkeye) in the hopes of becoming a source of strength and knowledge for the people of Amestris. However, faced with the increasing frequency of border wars, he left his teacher's charge and enrolled in the state military academy with the intent of becoming a state alchemist and devoting himself to the protection of citizens caught in the crossfire of international struggles. While at the military academy, he became friends with fellow cadet [Maes Hughes](https://anilist.co/character/69/Maes-Hughes), with whom he often discussed his idealistic dreams for the future of the country.

Wanting to defeat the strongest man, Shun Kamiya, Taiga came to Neo Tokyo from beyond the sea. He joins Minato Tribe, but as a beginner in XB, Taiga has a difficult time learning the rules of the game.

Another of Haruka's classmate, he plays the viola, though he used to play the violin. He has an extreme fondness for cute things, leading him to take a liking to Haruka. In the anime, upon his first encounter with Haruka he calls her Elizabeth, saying that she reminds him of his dog. He shares a room with Shou, whom he claims to be as cute as Haruka and is very affectionate towards him. He loves to cook but is very poor at it; his food makes everyone who eats it sick.  He has two personalities. Whenever he takes off his glasses he becomes an entirely different person: Satsuki (砂月). If Natsuki isn't brought back, he wreaks havoc and has put more than 50,000 people in the hospital. Satsuki also has an unexpected talent for composing. Natsuki doesn't remember time spent as Satsuki.

Since then "Satsuki" has existed in order to protect Natsuki from such pain again, resorting to violence &amp; force when Natsuki does not. Jellal is a young man whose most prominent features are his blue hair and a red tattoo above and under his right eye, which he has had since his childhood. He is introduced under the alias of Siegrain, a young member of the Magic Council and can be considered the main antagonist of the series. 

Lero-Ro is a former Examiner of the Second Floor. He is an exceptionally strong Ranker, to the point that even Quant, also a former Test Administrator (and a haughty one), would constantly boast about his strength. He was supposedly the strongest Second Floor Test Administrator and is particularly skilled in the use of Shinsoo. He was also the Light Bearer position instructor. He is fairly old, older than Yuri Zahard, as he stated that Anak Zahard didn't live up to a Princess's chaotic expectations like Yuri Zahard did, whom he met when they were both Regulars. He and Quant are awkwardly described as a "Set Menu", explained by the fact that Lero-Ro and Quant climbed the Tower together like a team. He is apparently quite famous, and he took over 300 years to climb the Tower.

Superbi Squalo is an assassin and the second-in-command of the Varia, the Vongola family's independent assassin squad. He is most notable for his long silver hair, and is always seen wearing his Varia uniform in both the anime and the manga.  He is a very loud character, and has a tendency to shout "VOOOI!!!" (the Italian version of the plural "You") before saying something or while in battle.  Squalo is known as one of the "Vongola's Sword Masters", other being Yamamoto Takeshi.  He is supposed to represent the sin of Pride since his name, Superbi, comes from "superbia", Latin term for pride.

Sae Itoshi is the antagonist in the manga. Sae is regarded as the best player in Japan and is Rin Itoshi's older brother, he's also a member of the Men's World 11 and is a member of the Real Madrid youth team, he's regarded as one of the best youth players in the world.

Pesche is a fairly harmless, humanoid hollow whose mask resembles an insectoid head with a large pair of mandibles. He wears an eyepatch and a loincloth. His hollow hole is slightly lower than normal, positioned near his stomach instead of his chest. He and Dondo were once Nel Tu's Fracci&oacute;n, but had their masks forcibly removed by Nnoitra and were left for dead with Nel. After realizing that their master had reverted to a defenseless child, he and Dondo pledged to protect Nel by never telling her about her former life. He spent the following time traveling around Hueco Mundo with them. He accidentally accompanies Uryū into Las Noches, having mistaken him for Ichigo. This initially upsets Pesche as he believes Uryū to be the weakest member of the group due to his appearance, while thinking that Chad is the strongest.    Pesche possesses an ability he calls &quot;Infinite Slick&quot; (無限の滑走（インフィナイト・スリック）, Infinaito Surikku?),[2] in which he sprays his saliva at an object, severely reducing its friction. Though seemingly useless, he is able to render Cirucci's weapon ineffective by coating it in his liquid, and it can be used similarly to make opponents lose their footing or grip on things. The liquid is limited in supply, contrary to its name. Pesche states that he named it as such because &quot;Finite Slick&quot; didn't sound nearly as cool. He can also perform a synchronized cero attack with Dondo. In addition to his powers, he carries an energy sword he calls Ultima (究極（ウルティマ）, Urutima?, Spanish for &quot;final,&quot; Japanese for &quot;ultimate&quot;) which he compares to one of Uryū's Seele Schneiders, humorously drawing it from his loincloth using its vaguely phallic hilt. A surface pilot who was in Yuuya’s unit in their U.S. Army days, as part of the 414th "Ghosts" test squad on Edwards Air Force Base in Groom Lake, Nevada. Presently part of the 65th Combat Training Battalion “Infinities”. Often seen in sunglasses.

He’s proud to be a Japanese-American, which meant he's constantly at odds with Yuuya who detests his Japanese heritage. The two of them used to fight constantly. While he's a talented Surface Pilot, Yuuya's numbers exceeded him in every area, and they became rivals, even turning into mutual hate later.

Leon is born into a military family, with his grandfather having volunteered for the U.S. Army's Japanese American Legion which was formed during World War II. Leon's father was Admiral Kuze, who commanded the U.S. Navy's Pacific Fleet, which defended Japan under the Japan-U.S. Security Treaty when the BETA landed in Japan. The fleet not only fought against the also helped to transport Japanese evacuees, and even after the annulment of the Security Treaty, Admiral Kuze's name is held in high esteem in Japan. Born into such a family, Leon isn't not ashamed of his Japanese-American heritage at all. 

He is another one of the S-classed mages who puts everyone to sleep every time he comes to the guild mainly because he hates to be seen. Makarov is the only person who is left unaffected by his magic but it still makes him tired. Laxus states that he has seen his face as well. He has a bandit type mask covering the bottom half of his face and a cap covering the top with only a slit being shown between his eyes.   ~!In chapter 120, when Mystogan attempts to stop Laxus and the hall of thunder, Laxus' lightning attack causes Mystogan's mask to burn off revealing a face that resembles Jellal's. However, he denies that he is Jellal although he admits that he knew him.!~   ~!Mystogan is actually the Edolas version of Jellal, and the renegade prince of Edolas.  In chapter 189, it was revealed that Mystogan was saved as a baby by Pantherlilly which caused his exile from Extalia.  Later on in chapter 268, Jellal took over the role of Mystogan and joins Fairy Tail. It is yet unknown how long he would stay with them.!~

Yousuke Yoneya is member of Miwa Unit. Yousuke is the carefree type, he likes to enjoy himself. He doesn't take things seriously. He also doesn't have any grudge against Neighbors. Yousuke told Yuuma they should have a fight just for fun one day.

Seaquant is a Blacklist Hunter and a servant of the Zoldyck Family. Three years before the beginning of the story, he and 100 henchmen came to attack the Zoldyck estate in Kukuroo Mountain, but they were annihilated by Canary, a mere 10 year-old female trainee butler at that time. Greatly shocked, he begged to become a servant of the Zoldycks. He is now good friends with Zebro, the old groundskeeper of the Zoldyck Family. Seaquant first appears when Gon, Leorio and Kurapika are trying to find a way to meet Killua in the Zoldyck Family's estate. He and Zebro allow the trio to stay in their house and train with their heavy equipments until they are strong enough to open the Testing Gate. After the death of Chairman Netero, he appears at the Hunters Association's headquarters to participate in the election for the 13th Hunter Chairman.

One of the three Bomb Devils. He is used by Killua to test out his new attacks, the combination of yo-yo's and electricity, which ultimately defeats him.
