Genma Saotome is very much like his son, [Ranma.](https://anilist.co/character/668/Ranma-Saotome) He is somewhat arrogant when it comes to his martial arts abilities, which he rarely showcases due to cowardice or laziness. It was Genma that took Ranma to Jusenkyo. Because he was unable to read the pamphlet, which was in Chinese, he had no idea of the curses that existed there. 
When splashed with cold water Genma transforms into a panda. When in this form, he uses signs with written messages on them to communicate. Although he often tries to rid himself of his curse, he doesn't seem to mind it as much as Jusenkyo's other victims. Most of Genma's time is spent sitting around the Tendo home playing Go with his best friend [Soun.](https://anilist.co/character/9215/Soun-Tendou)

Perhaps the most reluctant of the bronze saints, Shun is the official Bronze Saint of the Andromeda constellation. He is a merciful soul by nature, and a firm believer in solving problems without causing bloodshed. This creates a sharp contrast between himself and the rest of the Saints: Whereas they will not hesitate to battle when the situation demands it, Shun only allows himself to fight if it's an absolute necessity, or when his almost endless patience wears off. When any of these things happen, Shun becomes an extremely vicious fighter.

Shun comes off rather badly in the Movies and 'Asgard' arc. In almost every fight scene, he almost always loses, and needs his brother Ikki to rescue him (except against Mizar Zeta Syd, the one time Shun defeated a foe in either the Movies or 'Asgard' story).

However, in the 'Sanctuary', 'Poseidon' and 'Hades' storylines, Shun comes off as a good, if reluctant fighter. In 'Sanctuary', he manages to hold his own against Gemini Saga, and even manages to kill Pisces Aphrodite, both of them Gold Saints. In 'Poseidon', he acquits himself nicely, defeating Io, the Southern Pacific Mariner General of Scylla, and Sorrento, the Southern Atlantic Mariner General of Siren. In 'Hades', he manages to dispatch various opponents. As a result, he comes off looking much better in these arcs than in the Movies or 'Asgard'; though he may be reluctant to fight, he will when he has to, and is just as powerful or skilled as any of the other main Bronze Saints (Shiryu, Hyoga, etc.)

Soun and Genma trained during their youths with the evil and perverted Happosai. The little man is THE master of Anything Goes Martial arts (Musabetsu Kakutō Ryū). He is also a panty thief and lecher beyond belief. In return for training, he berated and cajolled his two unwilling students into helping him with his panty raids and peeping expiditions. More often than not, they would end up humiliated or injured in the process. Once they had finally finished their training (ie: escaped) they were able to get on with their lives. That is, until Happosai returned to select the next Anything Goes master.   What he found when he reached the Tendou Dojo was Ranma. Disgustingly enough, Happosai leched onto girl-type Ranma, even though he knows Ranma is a boy.   Taking up residence at the Tendou Dojo, he began extending Ranma's training. He also began to expand his panty raids into the surrounding neighborhood, as well as the Tendou girls' bedrooms.   Happosai is a tiny, yet immensely powerful martial artist. He usually wears a purple coverall, or occasionally a green bathing suit. When on his panty raids, he often wears a scarf as a mask. He is bald, with white fringes and a white moustache.   Happosai is a master martial artist and deceptively strong for his size. His only real weakness is his perverted nature. Happosai would leap in front of a speeding train for a pair of girl's panties. Often times he is foiled by a well placed bra, and if he cannot lech onto some poor, unsuspecting girl, or Ranma, he goes into an addict's withdrawl syndrome. His power comes entirely from his lust, and can be easily defeated by denying it.   Happosai is master of many magical martial arts attacks, although many are really just special effects. For example, his world feared 'Happo-dai-karin' (Happo Fire Blast) Technique is really just a firework and a match. He does however, posess several powerful special energy techniques, as well.

Commander Red is the leader of the Red Ribbon Army. While he puts up the front that he plans to take over the world, his true plan was to use the Dragon Balls to wish to become tall. Assistant Black overhears this and pleads that the Red Ribbon Army did so much, and risked a lot for his ambition, instead of world conquest, therefore it wasn't worth the risk and could lead to their ultimate defeat. When Red doesn't listen, he is then shot on the head and killed by Black who then renames it the Black Ribbon Army.

An unnamed man who works at Jusenkyou and usually warns anyone that comes there that they should not train there or they will fall under a grave curse. He knows the names of the hundreds of pools through the area, how long ago the spring became cursed, and the "tragic story" behind each of them.

Principal of Furinkan High School and estranged father of [Kunou](https://anilist.co/character/7699/Tatewaki-Kunou). His time in Hawaii gave him a love for tropical things and he has an obsession with cutting his students' hair, particularly targeting [Ranma's](https://anilist.co/character/668/Ranma-Saotome) ponytail.

The Frog Hermit is an unnamed anime-only character who makes a living by doing shows with his trained frogs and earning money by doing so. He has a strong rivalry against Ranma Saotome who knocks him into the cursed spring of drowned frog (Chiwanīchuan) while Ranma was training with his father Genma at Jusenkyo.

Soun and Genma begin training under martial arts master Chengensai. Chengensai attempts to teach them his "Invisible Man" trick, but Genma and Soun are later shocked to learn that he and Happosai are old friends.  Source: Rumic World

While Ikki is officially recognized as a bronze saint, his base power easily places him well above most silver saints, and his reputation as a powerhouse is common knowledge among his peers and fellow Bronze saints. Even as a child, Ikki was known as the toughest kid of the 100 orphans, and would often defend his delicate younger brother Andromeda Shun from the other children. He could easily be recognized as the strongest bronze saint when it comes to raw power.

Pope Sage (教皇セージ Kyōkō Sēji?) is the Pope in Sanctuary and the former Cancer Gold Saint. Sage and his twin brother Hakurei are the only Saints who survived the last Holy war and since then he has been planning his revenge against Thanatos and Hypnos due to the death of all his partners.    As the Pope, Sage trained Manigoldo who became the next Cancer Saint and also investigates about the gods related with Hades. Sage is skilled in techniques related with souls and also has a large number of talismans able to seal the power of the gods, called Talisman Cage ( タリスマン・ケージ Tarisuman Kēji?). During his encounter with Thanatos, he seals him in the Holy Coffer thanks to his brother&#039;s Altar Silver Cloth, paying that with his life.    It was revealed in flashbacks, that Sage was aware of Gemini Aspros&#039; treason and his plot to assassinate him. Sage devised an strategy along with Virgo Asmita to discover his motivations.
