Megumu is an esper and a former member of Claw. He was part of the upper echelon called "Scar".

The smallest of the convicts physically, he is later being shown as the most deadly. He is the only convict whose crime is known, that he killed a dozen men in prison as a test bed for his new skill. He uses a special martial art called Way of the Void (空道, Koudou). In this style he practices Vacuum Palm, Whip Strike, Poison Hand and many others. Yanagi is also very good at using weapons, such as a rope sickle during fight with Baki Hanma, or the Bagh Nakh during fight with Goki Shibukawa. ~!He also used a katana to cut Hector Doyle's head off, and he nearly destroyed his arm with this blade.!~

Samurai that died during the Muromachi period 600 years ago - now is Yoh's ghost companion. He is very powerful and wise but quite taciturn and extremely devoted to &quot;Lord Yoh&quot; (&quot;Yō-dono&quot; in Japanese). He was greatly known around the town of Funbari, where he had died 600 years prior after killing several hundred other samurai soldiers during a battle. He is the original handler of the legendary sword named &quot;Harusame&quot;, meaning &quot;Spring Rain&quot;, a sword forged by his best friend, Mosuke, who also appeared in the anime/manga as a spirit. This very same sword was reproduced as a &quot;spirit sword&quot; and used by Asakura Yoh during the Shaman Fight. The original was kept in a museum. His name is based on the Buddha Amitabha, the principal figure in the Pure Land Buddhist sect.

Hinoarashi is a small, bipedal Pokémon with bluish fur on top of its body and cream-colored fur on its underside. Its eyes are usually seen closed, and it has a long, thin snout. Its arms are short, but its legs are slightly more developed and have a single nail on each foot. On its back are four red circles that can erupt into flames. When the flames are burning, its back seems to be covered in spines. Hinoarashi is capable of defending itself using these flames, and the fire grows more powerful as it becomes angry or defensive. However, if it is tired, the flames are not able to burn properly. It is usually timid by nature and often curls into a ball when intimidated. Though rare in the wild, it can be found living on grasslands.

Kaidou is one of the Yonkou (four emperors), and the third to be mentioned by name. Kaidou's name is first mentioned by Gekko Moriah shortly after having obtained Luffy's shadow. His title is revealed just after the Straw Hats defeat Moriah. 

One of Ataru's teachers.  A sad, middle-aged man, whose only interest is to teach at Tomobiki High, but fails due to the constant interruptions during class, when the classroom itself is not destroyed by Lum, Ten or Shinobu. His name means "Mark of the Hot Springs", and he usually wears a shirt with hot springs on it.

Chinese Kung-Fu (referred to as "Kenpo" in Japanese) practitioner. Trained in China and became the heir to his Kung Fu style in his temple.   Despite his great knowledge in his style he does not open his mind to the possibility of learning from other disciplines at first but after striking up a friendship with Katsumi Orochi post tournament he appears to want to teach as well as learn at the Shinshinkai Dojo.   ~!He fights Sergei Taktarov in round 1, Mount Toba in round 2, and destroys Orochi Katsumi in round 3. He then makes it to the semi-finals of the Maximum Tournament and is pitted against Baki Hanma where Baki nearly kills him by breaking his neck.  In the "Search of Our Strongest Hero" saga, he has encounters with the British convict Hector Doyle and American convict Dorian. Retsu brings Baki to China to cure his poisoned body and have him fight in a Chinese Tournament. He reappears in Baki: Son of Ogre, during the Pickle saga, having a fight with the prehistoric man and losing it. He then gets his leg eaten by Pickle, as a "gift" for his victory. He later trains Katsumi so that he can become stronger before his fight with Pickle.  Sometime afterward, it appears Retsu wants to take his plans to truly educate others about the Chinese martial arts global, and so he enters a boxing gym seeking strong opponents , the coach asks him to do a strength test by punching a bag with all his strength ,Retsu does so apprehensively and destroys the bag, a few days later at the gym a flash boxing promoter/manager enters the gym and sees Retsu practicing not boxing but a Kung Fu exercise just standing their maintaining his pose for nearly 2 hours, and an idea flashes in the manager's head and he arranges an exhibition match between a former champ and Retsu, during the course of his next few fights it appears Retsu has gained some respect for Western fighters as well as showing them how to absorb damage, hit with absolutely all their strength and use lightning speed, (as well as making millions in the process for these exhibition matches but seemingly completely indifferent towards the money).!~
