Saitama is the main protagonist of One Punch Man, and the most powerful hero alive. Having apparently trained himself to superhuman condition, Saitama faces an existential crisis as he is now too powerful to gain any thrill from his heroic deeds.  He is registered with the Heroes Association as a B-Class Superhero and is tasked to defend Z-City against Mysterious Beings. 

For a superhero, Saitama is rather laid-back. Because even the mightiest foes pose no challenge to him, he doesn't take his hero work very seriously. In spite of this, he is constantly searching for an opponent that can challenge him, since his superhero work is beginning to bore him because it's too easy. The combination of his attitude, unstoppable strength, and distinctively simple and 'unimpressive' appearance often cause his battles to become anticlimactic. Saitama will usually allow his opponents to rant about their motives and power up into their strongest forms before suddenly and nonchalantly obliterating them with one punch.

A boy who came to the city to college. Living alone for the first time, thinking it would be the begining of a new quiet and peaceful life in the city, he meets his new neighbour in a very strange way and by that his life becomes topsy-turvy and so it begins the story of a Technical Student.

3-3 classmate. He appears to have a crush on Akazawa. He also seems to be car sick.    ~!While swimming to the beach ball which had flown into sea he gets unconscious and he was probably already dead while he was floating in the water. Seconds after Kouichi, Naoya and Katsumi rushed into the water to help him he got hit by a boat. After his funeral Chibiki shares his thoughts with Kouichi and Mei. According to the police and his parents he had hit his head which was the cause of his death which meant the cause of the death happened in Yomiyama. !~

Motohama (元浜) is the other best friend of Issei who made up the "Perverted Trio". Motohama has the ability to calculate a female's body measurements just by looking, which earned him nicknames such as "Perverted Glasses" (エロメガネ Ero-megane) and "Three Sizes Scouter" (スリーサイズスカウター Surī Saizu Sukautā). Like Matsuda, he constantly spreads bad rumors about Issei out of jealousy of his relationship with the Occult Research Club. Sakuragi Rokurouta, referred as 'An-chan' by his cell mates, is the oldest of the seven protagonists in Rainbow. He is strong and has great boxing technique which he used to take on all the six new comers when Mario instigated a fight.  Although it seemed he looked down upon the six new cell mates in the beginning, which lead to a fight he won with ease, the six new cell mates found out later that Sakuragi is in reality a guy worthy to look upon and soon start to refer him as An-chan, which can be translated as an 'intimate bro'.  The reason why Sakuragi has been detained is unknown. Rumors are he killed his own parents. It seems Sakuragi holds the key to lead the six new comers to the outside world when they end their detention in two years time. 

~!In episode 4, it is revealed that he didn't really kill his father. His father was depressed that he survived a war where his sons died, and Sakuragi said harsh things to him because he didn't understand, causing his father to commit suicide. Sakuragi blames himself, and keeps insisting that he's the reason his father is dead.!~

~! In episode 12, after being stabbed by Ishihara, he goes to see Mario Minakami's boxing match, but is shot down by American soldiers on his way there.!~

Real name Marco Togni. An agent of Section 2 and Angelica's handler. After being suspended from military service due to an injury to his left eye, Marco was recommended by his friend Dr. Bianchi to be the handler of Angelica, the first child assassin of Section 2. While taking care of Angelica, Marco told her  stories of "The Prince of the Land of Pasta"  a fictional prince who ate only pasta. He spent much time looking for ideas for the story. This fascinated his girlfriend at the time, Patricia, who later wrote and published the storybook "The Prince of the Land of Pasta", a copy of which Marco bought and read for Angelica. As time went on, Marco witnessed Section 2 develop into an effective combat unit and Angelica's tremendous potential as an assassin. Sadly, Angelica also was the first girl to experience the side-effects of the conditioning process, particularly long-term memory loss. Disgusted with the many setbacks that resulted afterwards, Marco felt that any further effort was in vain, and had no desire to continue, and takes an impersonal and critical approach to Angelica's training. 

Wardes is Captain of Tristain&#039;s Griffin Knights and Louise&#039;s former fianc&eacute;. When he was younger, he often met Louise, who was feeling down after being compared to her sisters. He is a highly skilled swordsman as well as mage.  ~!He is later revealed to be evil as he betrayed Louise and attempts to mind control her in marrying him (Because of this, many people think he is pedophile, although the correct term would be ephebophile, and both the novel and anime implies that he is aware of Louise&#039;s potential as a Void Mage and interested in her primarily for that reason). He then kills the Prince of Albion when his attempt is revealed.!~

Daz is a member of the 104th Trainees Squad.   

~!In Ch. 40, Ymir and Historia Reiss recount a story about Dazz from training. Wanting praise and recognition, Dazz undertook harsh physical training in the snowy mountains. However, he wasn't strong enough to endure it, and nearly died. Ymir told Krista to leave him behind or her own life would be endangered; when Krista refused, Ymir used her Titan shifter powers to bring Dazz back to the camp safely.  In Ch. 12, when Dot Pixis announces the plan to reconquer Trost District, Dazz has a breakdown and starts screaming that he doesn't want to die. Though Marco Bott tries to quiet him, a commanding officer overhears and threatens to execute him. Dazz replies that execution would be better then being eaten by a Titan. However, Dot Pixis then announces that all deserters will be pardoned -- but have to live with the guilt that they abandoned their families to the Titans. Dazz is unable to leave his family to that fate, and returns to participate in the operation to plug the breach.   After the mission, he briefly appears in Chapter 21 standing next to Sasha Blouse when Irvin Smith gives a speech urging the 104th Training Squad members to join the Scouting Legion. As he is not present in the group of trainees who join, he presumably opted for the Stationary Guard instead.!~

But she passes away after being decieved by an investor named Hugo, which leaves Laurent at a gambling routine in Paris. One night, he tries to kill Hugo, but Dorothy stops him and ends up recruiting him to her Confidence group, alongside Seiji Osaki, Kudo and Shi-On.!~

The progenitor of Seirin's basketball team and its ace, Kiyoshi is the last of the original Seirin team members to be introduced, due to a hospitalization for a knee injury he got during a game. Rumored to be very capable, his preferred position is that of the point guard, but since their team lacked any other player with the body size to play center, he offered to fill that hole. On Koganei's suggestion, he apparently tries to play both, despite the inherent impossibility. While goofy nearly to the point of stupidity, he is very shrewd and is almost always plotting something, though it is rarely what others would inherently conclude. With a pair of big hands that allow him to grasp the ball in play single-handedly, Kiyoshi possesses immense ball-handling skills, and an uncanny sense of timing that allows him to make decisions on-court after his opponents have already reacted. He is renowned and even revered by many players in the realm of high-school basketball, and is one of the few players to have held his own against the Generation of Miracles during their peak. While he is currently able to play, the knee injury he sustained during his freshman year was quite severe: formally speaking it required surgery, but the process would make him unable to play basketball for the rest of his high school career. He instead opted to rehabilitate without invasive procedures, though he would only be able to do so for one year at the best. Despite this setback, he vows to make the most of the time he has.   ~!Among high school basketball players, he is one of the 'Uncrowned Kings' (無冠の五将 [mukan no goshou]), a group of five players, though overshadowed by the Generation of Miracles, of such great prowess and skill, had it not been for Kuroko and his ilk, they may have attained the greater moniker. Famous for his unaccountable form and stabilizing presence, he is known as 'Iron Heart' (鉄心[tesshin]).!~

Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki, known as the sword that Sakamoto Ryouma carried. He gained a reputation in Tosa as a famous sword, but in Ryouma’s period, swords had already become old-fashioned.

Osanai is the former president of the Moebius gang.  

~!Toman's leader, Mikey, knocked Osanai out with three kicks when he tried to ambush them with his gang and Draken announced that Moebius will now be under Toman's command, following which Osanai gets stabbed by Pah, much to everyone's shock.!~

Ryou Ueki is Ritsuka's classmate. Ryou enjoys playing basketball and is close friends with Shogo.
Not as talkative compared to other students, Ryou enjoys playing basketball and is friendly to students from other classes such as Mafuyu.

Kakeru Ryuuen is the class representative of class 1-C and is known for being an infamous delinquent. He does not lead his class by trust, but rather by fear. He has a group of henchmen who do his dirty work, which contributes to his fearsome reputation.
