Yukito Kunisaki is a young man who travels around the country, searching for the Winged-Maiden he was told about by his late mother. By using a special trick, Yukito is able to move his puppet without strings. He uses this to make money as he travels, with most of it going towards food.   ~!One day, Yukito arrives in a small town by the sea. Quickly deciding not to stay very long, he heads for the beach in an attempt to make some money. While by the beach, he meets a strange girl named Misuzu who quickly invites him to her house for dinner and, although skeptical, he accepts. Soon after meeting her mother Haruko and becoming friends with them, he is convinced into staying there. Yukito soon begins doing odd jobs for the local clinic after the doctor catches him doing his puppet show outside. It is here that Yukito becomes friends with Kano and Minagi. However after getting to know them better he learns of their problems, which convinces Yukito to stay and help.  After helping Kano and Minagi, Yukito finds out about Misuzu's illness, which is where she is unable to make friends because she'll begin crying uncontrollably. Yukito then leaves, deciding that if he leaves, Misuzu will get better, however as he is about to leave Yukito realizes his mistake and goes back to help. Here is when he realizes his and Misuzu's connection to the past and that Misuzu is the re-incarnation of the Winged Maiden. When Yukito finds Misuzu, she tells him of her last dream before falling asleep. Yukito then disappears in a bright light, causing Misuzu to wake up, seemingly better.  It is implied that when Sora appears in the Anime after Yukito's disappearance, Sora is Yukito or contains a part of Yukito's soul.!~

Junichi is the main protagonist of the series. He is a second year high school student and had a quarrel with a transfer student, Yuuhi Katagiri on the first day of school. It turns out that Yuuhi is his fianc&eacute; as arranged by his family. His life takes a drastic turn with Yuuhi entering his life.When he first met her he had the impression she was a helpless girl and kissed her because of a misunderstanding. After that, Yuuhi becomes much more violent towards Jun&#039;ichi. Since Yuuhi is often harassed, he finds himself protecting her; as time progresses, their love for each other grows, even though neither of them will admit it. Throughout the anime series it is hinted that Jun&#039;ichi has romantic feelings for his sister Minato, but he is reluctant to admit this even though he sometimes has fantasies about her.  ~!However, in the final episode, he realizes that he cannot live without Minato and confesses to her, for some sweet (or so they think) incest action!!~

His powers were sealed at birth into the demon-slaying blade Kurikara, or Koumaken, by Mephisto Pheles, allowing him to live a normal human life for about 15 years.

Abel is German and works as the Pierrot of the Troupe, in charge of comedy and laughter. He wears clown make-up while on stage, and performs all kinds of amusing antics such as juggling, acrobatics, and standing on a large ball. Even though he is the Pierrot, Abel can be very serious and wise at times. He is a very well educated man, somewhat of a scholar and mentor figure; he helps Nadja to look for books in libraries and reads her mother's diary, which is written in German, a language Nadja does not know since she has been raised in England.      Behind Abel's Pierrot make-up lies a sad past and a family he had to leave behind; he was the doctor of an impoverished village, but spent a time in jail after stealing medicine from an hospital to save his patients from an epidemy and had to abandon his family after his release, since his son Stefan had the illness and was left in a wheelchair. ~!Kaname Tousen was formerly the Captain of the 9th Division of the Gotei 13. He was revealed as a co-conspirator working for Sousuke Aizen and left Soul Society along with him and Gin Ichimaru. He then became a Commander in Aizen's Army of Arrancar. The Soul Society ordeal put him at odds with his formerly closest friend Sajin Komamura, as well as his former Lieutenant in the 9th Division, Shuuhei Hisagi.    Tousen&#039;s creed in life is to &quot;take the path with the least bloodshed&quot;; it was for this reason that he felt it necessary to follow Sousuke Aizen. Despite this, he knows of Aizen&#039;s plan to create the King&#039;s Key, which will require the deaths of thousands of innocent people. He was also willing to attack and kill members of his own division while acting as the 5th seat, including Hollowfying his own captain. Tousen, along with Gin Ichimaru was identified by Kenpachi Zaraki as being afraid of death, this is later confirmed with him saying he only feared being assimilated into the Shinigami culture and dying a pointless death. His own description of himself as a &quot;pure being&quot; when explaining why Wonderweiss Margela likes him shows degrees of pride and arrogance as well. Also, despite stating many times how much his friend loved the world, he himself never said so, and in fact hated the world that took away his friend. As Captain of the 9th Division, which is charged with the editing of Seireitei Communication, Tousen was the chief editor of the journal. He himself wrote a serialization titled &quot;The Path of Justice&quot;, which was not very popular, until he began to publish cooking recipes in his articles, which made them more popular among female Shinigami. This also indicates that his speciality is indeed cooking, his favorite dishes being chicken stewed with carrots and other sophisticated ones. He does not like pickled food. Tousen also has several unique relationships with the Arrancars. Tousen thinks of Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez in the same manner as Kenpachi Zaraki; a killing machine that will cause only more bloodshed in the world. Wonderweiss Margera seems to have a great affection towards him. Tousen explains that this is because they are both pure spirits, and that pure spirits tend to attract and follow each other. !~

His head resembles soft serve ice cream (hence his name). He was the guardian of the "Jet Black Room" of C-Block's "Aitsuhage Tower"(some fans think he was the vice commander). Softon uses "Babiron (Babylon) Shinken" (in the English dub, he fights by channeling the power of "the Goddess Blabs-A-Lot", a not-too-obvious pun: Blabs-A-Lot = Babble on = Babylon).  Perhaps not coincidentally, the shape of his head also resembles the typical manga depiction of poop. In promotional color artwork for the manga, his head is colored brown, whereas in the anime, it is colored pink (which is not a U.S. TV edit). It is later revealed that this isn't his real face but a mask used to control his powers, similar to Gasser's collar. He is the only non-human looking character to not fuse with Bobobo (probably because he is too big to get in any of his openings).  He allies with Bo-BoBo's team after Beauty is kidnapped, but doesn't officially join until the battle with Halekulani. In many episodes, Softon's "poop" jokes are directly copied from the manga, but put in the context of ice cream. Later, against Lambada, Softon reveals he was given the power of the Black Sun by J and combines it with Goddess Blabs-A-Lot. During a battle in the Hair Kingdom against a Babylon assassin, it is finally revealed that he is Beauty's older brother, explaining the connection he consistently has to her. He is also the mascot of an ice cream shop.  

Krad is the complete opposite of Dark (with even Dark&#039;s name spelt backwards) and also Dark&#039;s worst enemy. Krad is the homicidal blond of the series who is the alter-ego of Hiwatari Satoshi. Apparently, Daisuke was the reason that Satoshi first transformed into Krad. With (Wiz) absolutely despises Krad and always tries to attack him on sight. Krad can be called insanely obsessive, as he attempts to kill Daisuke after their first encounter because he is very possessive over his host, Satoshi, and does not let him get close to anyone. He affectionately calls him, &quot;My everything&quot;. Satoshi, however -- like his whole family generation -- despises Krad.    Unlike Dark, Krad does not use any wings other than his own and is entirely willing to utilize his magic, thus demonstrating his lack of care for his host&#039;s wellbeing. Although feelings of love are what cause Daisuke to transform into Dark, it seems that Krad can force his way out of Satoshi at any moment. This fact may be due to Krad&#039;s greater willingness to injure his host, since it makes little sense for Daisuke to be triggered by love and Satoshi to have no triggers. Likewise, Satoshi can most times force Krad back inside his body. One very popular nickname for Krad is Homicidal Blond. Krad has no last name, but only he calls Dark with Mousy attached. He uses it to express how he feels about Dark...

Takeshi is Daisuke's best friend in school and is the son of Police Inspector Saehara, who pursues Dark under the command of Hiwatari Satoshi. He usually serves as comic relief, as he is very excitable, friendly, rude and irresponsible. He is an enthusiastic reporter who uses his father's contacts to his advantage. However, he is rather reckless, proven in his plans, which Hiwatari often justly criticises, calling them ineffective. Saehara also likes to dump his workload, such as homework and cleanup duty, on Daisuke, so he can get out early to find a good spot to get good shots of Dark.    In the anime, Takeshi bribes students with photos; he offers the girls pictures of Dark in exchange for being able to copy their notes and offers Daisuke pictures of Risa Harada in a bikini in exchange for Daisuke cleaning the art room for him.

Namikawa is the Vice President of Sales of the Yotsuba Corporation. He initially encourages the Yotsuba Kira. He is seen as the "most talented" of the board members who has the potential to &quot;make it to the top&quot; without Kira. He has a talent in shogi at the professional 4-dan level. He detests useless subordinates.

Hero-wannabe from a far away planet, who unfortunately has no super powers or sense of justice; rolls around with his belly on a skateboard, throws grenades, and changes his clothes in a phone booth, eating an umeboshi to transform. Suppaman works as a reporter when in disguise as Kenta Kuraaku (暗悪健太, Kuraaku Kenta?), which literally translates to &quot;Dark-and-Evil&quot; [generic man&#039;s name]; note that to Japanese ears &quot;Kuraaku Kenta&quot; sounds like Clark Kent). 

Anime    A fairly high-ranking member of Chaos Choir, Gladias doesn't seem to have any Edel Raids of his own, and is generally shrouded in mystery. He acts as a judge of different members of the organization, generally only appearing to deal out punishment. Gladias seems optimistic the few times he appears, despite the fact that he is often killing people.     Manga    Here he is a high-ranking member of Organite, and is confirmed to have an Edel Raid (which appears to be a Darkness-based sword). He is incredibly strong and is also willing to take out his allies if he needs to...and with the same strange optimism. 

Geese is a proud man who considers himself a mighty warrior and as such thinks highly of himself. He craves power in all of its forms: from money to immortality, a desire influenced by various tragedies in his childhood, from losing his mother to being estranged as a stepson. He can be quite vengeful as well, as he holds grudges against Krauser and Jeff, whom he later killed. Despite appearing to be heartless however, he has his own code of honor and there are lines that even he will not cross; never underestimating his opponents, especially after suffering defeat from Terry. He will crush anyone who stands in his way and reward those he deems worthy of his respect, or in the case of Billy, whoever he sympathizes with.

He appears to show respect to Tung Fu Rue despite their histories, even if he is sometimes sarcastic about it, as seen in Neo Geo Battle Coliseum, and more recently in The King of Fighters XIV.

He has a fascination with Japan, often adorning the Japanese decorum on the Geese Tower rooftop with American flags, and has assimilated some Nipponese culture as a result.

Whether because of ambition or to simply keep them from possible harm, he was apparently distant from his personal family, ignoring Rock's pleas to help Marie in her sickness until she reportedly passed away. As a result, this earned him Rock's indignation and the latter's devotion to stay away from his shadow.

Erika's older brother, and the student council president. Just like his sister, he too is a vampire. Iori gives off the air of a male model, and has had many girls in his school want to go out with him. He is generally popular with everyone in his school.

Age 39. Desk editor at Weekly JIDAI; Hiroko's boss.  Narita is the more active boss in the editing department, much to the dismay of the chief editor, Tatsuhiko (though he doesn't act offended but on occasion.) Narita is a man who knows when to be the boss and when to be the encouraging friend. While he is usually shown as being an amiable man who wants to help the other employees, he isn't above yelling at the others to make sure they get their best work done and before deadline. It is never said explicitly one way or another where his sexual preference ultimately lies; but it is mentioned that Narita &quot;doesn't like women.&quot;

A member of the tennis club at school. He has little athletic ability.

Government Investigative Office of Department of Security, Central Headquarters General Manager, age 27    Daisuke's older brother and the General Manager of Special Services, Shun prides himself on his rational and logical thinking. Shun's logical nature is usually in conflict with Daisuke's more impulsive personality. This causes a gap between the two brothers, despite the fact that Shun raised Daisuke after their father's death at the hand of an android. Another point of contention between them is Shun's inability to forgive his mother for leaving their family when Shun was 9 and Daisuke 3. Notorious for his cruel and deceitful fighting ability, Hisoka has proven to be deadly. His deviousness and volatility have caused many opponents to have difficulty anticipating his next move, and this has led to him winning many battles. Using Shu powered poker cards as his primary weapon, he throws them with ease and deadly accuracy.  Also, he is very intrigued by [Gon](https://anilist.co/character/30/Gon-Freecss) and the potential this young boy has to become an adept and powerful adversary. Hisoka, ever looking for a strong opponent, is willing to aid, or at least not defeat prematurely, someone that could develop into a future opponent.

The leading man, and a samurai of noble spirit. A master of the Shinkage-ryu fighting style, his main concern is taking over the Yagyu Dojo, as the new Master. The Yagyu family has been teaching the Tokugawa clan swordsmanship for centuries, and Muneakira, or "Mune" for short, aims to keep that traidition strong. Officially under the Tokugawa clan, Mune has just gotten to Buou Academic School (a school where only warrior students can attend, and a breeding ground for Japan's next great leaders) and he's already found himself with a world of problems... and two of them like to follow him around.
