Along with Vulcan, Mars once held the title of the Empire's strongest before Casshern, Dio, and Leda were born. Wanting to keep that title even in ruin, Mars and Vulcan plot to kill Dio by spreading a rumor that they know Luna's whereabouts; this succeeds in attracting Dio and Leda's attention. Mars and Vulcan battle as a tag-team, with Mars using his agility and multiple extending arms to dominate the fight.    In their first battle with Dio, Mars and Vulcan win but Mars spares Dio's life at Leda's request. But after Leda leads him and Vulcan to Dio's castle, Dio is waiting there and destroys Mars.

Tokaki is a Byakko Celestial Warrior married to the beautiful and kind Subaru. Extremely lecherous in nature, Tokaki takes it upon himself to comment on any attractive young woman he comes across, including Miaka. Despite his womanizing habits, Tokaki loves Subaru dearly and would go to any length to protect her. He cares deeply for Tatara and Tamahome, whom he sees as a son. He is 109 years old, but only appears 19 years old. Tokaki&#039;s power is teleportation and is supplemented by his knowledge of pressure points as well as his use of earrings as weapons.    


Called Griff by his friends, he mostly praises Plue and calls him 'Master Plue'. He looks like a strange blue blob, with eyes and arms. He is close to Plue in size but with the ability to speak. Griff has limited shape-shifting abilities; such as inflating portions of his body and elongating his limbs. He is also a voyeuristic character, and in a couple of episodes he is seen spying on Elie. He is the cartographer of the group. He has been described as a pervert.

The &quot;judge&quot; of the War Games, in charge of rule explanation and fight announcement. He is a servant of the Chess Pieces, as seen when he takes orders from Halloween (upon Alan appearing before the third round). After the War Games are over, Ginta takes Pozun&#039;s Andata so they can go to Lestava Castle in the manga, while in the anime they have him take them to Lestava Castle, and he grows rather attached to Team M&Auml;R. At the end of the anime, he is seen playing with the rest of his kind in a hot spring.

The third of the Four Temple Guardians. In the English dub, he is Mimi's "twin brother" where he had different plastic surgeries to look older where he claims that he is one minute older than Mimi.

Gyuujirou is often seen piloting a robot suit and first appears where he destroys Mimi's access card upon her defeat and wrecks her deck. He often cheats and relies on deceit in his duels. His constant defeat at the hands of the series' heroes has led him to hate both Shobu and Hakuoh.
