Saya is the main protagonist in the series Blood + who hunts chiropterans using a katana. It is implied that she is the last remaining vampire and called "the only remaining original." Saya has no weakness to sunlight, although it is unknown if she has any of the other vulnerabilities often attributed to vampires. She does, however, become distressed when she encounters religious paraphernalia and angry when people mention God in her presence.   Saya displays superhuman senses and strength, as well as cunning, resourcefulness, and skill. The manga series suggests she was a human-vampire hybrid. Her age is unknown, but a picture of her with nine other people is shown in the film with the date 1892 and the word "vampire" attached to it. Gash is Kiyomaro's partner. He was discovered by Kiyomaro's father wounded and unconscious in a forest in England. Gash had no recollection of who he was or where he had come from. 

Gash is overly cheerful, possessing a strong sense of justice but he is clueless about most the world around him and often gets in trouble when not being supervised by someone. He is also initially unaware of the fact that he can shoot lightning out of his mouth through the use of his spellbook.

Zeon (Zeno in the English version) is a mamono who looks exactly like Gash Bell, save for his pastier colors and purple eyes. His spells are the same as Gash&#039;s, only more powerful; additionally, Zeon does not lose consciousness during the spells and thus knows what he is doing while they are being cast. His cloak also has magical abilities, allowing him to protect himself and his bookkeeper if he gets in trouble, and to teleport himself and his bookkeeper to another location. He is very powerful, malevolent and evil, and bears a strong hatred towards humans but more importantly towards Gash.  Dufaux (Dufort in the English version) is his bookkeeper. He&#039;s very silent and reserved, almost to the point of having no emotion, and he has psychic abilities.  Zeon is revealed to be Gash&#039;s twin brother and the cause of his amnesia. It is revealed in the manga that their father is the king of the Makai (mamono world): an electric elemental who possessed the ultimate power known as &quot;Baou&quot;. When twins were born to him and his wife, the &quot;Baou&quot; power was inherited down to Gash, making them fear for what would happen to him when he finally awakens it, as well as the jealousy of his brother when he found out. To protect both brothers, Gash was sent away to live like a commoner, forced into near servitude by his foster mother and consistently teased and taunted by his classmates at a private school. Meanwhile, Zeon was forced to undertake a harsh, military training. When the silver-haired child found out about both his brother and the &quot;Baou&quot; power, he grew resentful, believing that this twin he never met would hold his father&#039;s ultimate ability without understanding the implications. With both children referred for the Mamono Fight, Zeon continued his preparations, training his body as well as reading of certain items and artifacts that would assist him when sent to the human world.  By the time Zeon was sent to take part in the Mamono Fight, he took action in order to guarantee both his own victory and his brother&#039;s ultimate misery. After finding his bookkeeper, he tracked down Gash to a forest in England, where he was living peacefully with the local fauna. Without saying who he was, Zeon brutally attacked the golden-haired lookalike, both physically abusing him and using his own spells to smash him down. But instead of burning his book, where he would instantly go home to his family and live peacefully in the makai, he decided to remove his memories to force him to be stuck wandering around this strange, human world without any friends or any idea who he was. Shortly thereafter, Gash was found by Seitaro Takamine, who eventually sent Gash to Japan, so that Seitaro&#039;s son, Kiyomaro, could try to find out Gash&#039;s origin, as well as to benefit Kiyomaro&#039;s personality.  Zeon took interest in the immense tower of Faudo from the moment it first arrived in the human world, having done research on the locked away force within in the libraries of his home. After extensive preparation, he immediately took action, leading on Kiyomaro and Gash towards the tower by use of a doll-like emissary that told them of the danger about to be revealed. However, while using his brother to help awaken the tower for Riou, all of his works was for his own ambition. Once Faudo was resurrected, Zeon challenged Riou in battle, upon which he immediately crushed him, sent him back and took over his control jewel. While he doesn&#039;t divert Faudo from its original mission (the destruction of Japan, as instructed by Riou), Zeon awakens the full capability of the beast, giving guardians inside new life and using its power to upgrade many of the mamono previously fighting under Riou. All of these would give the remaining mamono inside one difficult challenge after another as they moved upwards towards the destined showdown with him and Dufaux.  His book was burned by Gash, but under radically different circumstances in the manga than in the anime, although in both versions the book is burned as a result of a struggle between Gash&#039;s Bao Zakeruga and Zeon&#039;s Jigaridasu Uruzakeruga. He is resentful of Gash to the end in the anime, breaking the jewel that controls Faudo out of spite. In the manga, Zeon becomes aware that Gash had as hard a childhood as he did, and regrets his own foolishness. The jewel breaks due to the strain of their fight. As they are twins, his father original power is divided by two, Zeon gave his power to Gash so that Bao will be completed to help defeat Faudo. Tenten specializes in weaponry, and according to Guy she can hit a bullseye 100 out of 100 times, although her more powerful enemies can often block her attacks.  In battle she summons varying types of weapons from the scrolls she carries with her. In Part I she has many scrolls that serve this purpose, but in Part II she has consolidated her arsenal into a single large scroll. The weapons predominately consist of steel projectiles and an assortment of close-combat weapons, though she is seen using a crossbow in the anime and even a spiked bomb in Part II.


Konohamaru named after the village he lives in: Konoha, is the grandson of the Third Hokage and by extension the nephew of Asuma Sarutobi. Konohamaru usually hangs out with his two friends, Udon and Moegi. Together, they call themselves the "Konohamaru Corps" ("Konohamaru Ninja Squad" in the English dub). 

In Part II they are teamed together under the leadership of Ebisu, Konohamaru's former tutor.  At the start of the series, Konohamaru feels unacknowledged due to his status as the Hokage's grandson. As such, he frequently attempts to defeat his grandfather in battle so that he can become Hokage himself and earn the recognition he desires. Once meeting Naruto Uzumaki, Konohamaru realizes that he can't become Hokage by simply attacking his grandfather and will need to train hard to accomplish this goal.

Ayanami is the First Child and the pilot of Evangelion Unit 00. She is shown to be socially withdrawn and hardly interacts with anyone. Rei's cool, silent and emotionally-stunted personality has garnered the scorn of her schoolmates; Asuka calls her a "doll" or "puppet".  Although she once only associated with Gendo, she and Shinji break the ice after the battle against Ramiel and grow progressively closer for a while. In the manga version, Rei grows a lot closer to Shinji than in the anime.

Onpu appears in the second half of the first season. She is a child idol, being a singer, an actress, and having her own morning radio show. Hence, she has a large male fanbase who will chase her anywhere. She is also a witch, but was once under the apprenticeship of Majorika's rival, Majoruka.   One important fact about Onpu is that at first she comes off as a selfish and spoiled brat. She then reformed her ways and joined Doremi and co.  Onpu has no real love interest, but she shows affection for Tooru of the FLAT4.  Onpu's birthday is March 3, her favorite color is purple, and her instrument is the flute. Jasmine (Mikan in original Japanese language versions) is in charge of the Mineral Badge (Steel Badge in Japanese), and resides in Olivine City. She is an expert on Steel types, but also has an Ampharos which lights the Olivine Lighthouse. Her name is related to the word mineral or mine.    In the anime  In the anime, Jasmine&#039;s Ampharos, named Sparkle, is used to light the way over the shore but it has become ill. She asks Ash to fetch her medicine from Cianwood City, and Ash and his friends retrieve the medicine and send it back with one of Jasmine&#039;s students, Janina. Several weeks later, Ash and his friends return from the Whirl Islands and Ash challenges Jasmine to a Gym battle. Ash&#039;s Pikachu defeats Jasmine&#039;s Magnemite but is defeated by Steelix. However Ash&#039;s Cyndaquil came through and beat Steelix with great difficulty earning Ash his Mineral Badge.  Unlike her other incarnations, the anime Jasmine is a far more confident girl, especially during her second appearance, where she makes an entrance via summoning her Steelix as she herself somersaults off the cliff she is standing on then landing on her Steelix. Later, during the Gym match, she appears to be anything but meek since she doesn&#039;t hestiate to tell Ash she will not make the battle easy for him.    In the manga  In Pok&eacute;mon Adventures, Jasmine is caught in an earthquake caused by Team Rocket while traveling through Ecruteak City, and when she climbs the Tin Tower to get away from the shaking she gets caught in some rubble. Using Ampharos to send off a distress flare, she catches the attention of both Gold and Silver. The two boys try to rescue her, but Ampharos does it successfully, leaving the young rivals trapped in the tower.  Jasmine later recovers. At the Pok&eacute;mon League Tournament, she fights against and defeats Brock. She covers her Steelix in rubble to make it look like an Onix, thinking that the newly-discovered Steel Pok&eacute;mon would be too horrifying for people to see. Jasmine once specialized in Rock-type Pok&eacute;mon before Crystal and Professor Oak discovered Steel-type Pok&eacute;mon. Her two Togetics are the parents of Gold&#039;s Togepi.

Hikari is a ten-year-old Pokémon Coordinator from Futaba Town and a former traveling companion of Satoshi and Takeshi. Her goal is to become a great Top Coordinator like her mother, Ayako. Her first Pokémon was a Pochama that she received from Dr. Nanakamado.

Furuura is a resident of Earthia Island and [Yodel](https://anilist.co/character/35807/Yodel)'s younger sister. She is a disgruntled and rebellious girl who felt constrained by her isolated life on the island, which had let to her relationship with her older sister Carol becoming strained. However, meeting Satoshi gave her the perfect opportunity to escape and test herself.

Arale is a robot built by Senbei Norimaki that looks like a little girl. She is known for her naivety, energetic personality, lack of common sense, and amazingly unbelievable strength. Among her strength she can use abilities that range from the terrain splitting Chikyūwari ( Earth Chop) to the beam-like Nchahou ( N'cha Cannon). She is nearsighted and needs to wear glasses. Senbei Norimaki's mission is to convince the other citizens of Penguin Village that she is just a normal human girl. It seems to work, despite her superhuman athletic ability.  She has long, bluish-purple hair in the original manga and anime series, but has dark-brown hair in the 1997 Dr. Slump anime. Like the name of the other major characters (senbei), Arale is a pun on the name for a bite-sized rice cracker (arare) and with the family name ("Norimaki Arare") it refers to a sort of arare wrapped with nori seaweed. Adding to this is Casey&#039;s love of the Electabuzz baseball team, an analogue to the real world Osaka baseball team, the Hanshin Tigers. Not only is there a similarity in both Electabuzz and tigers being striped animals, but the Hanshin Tigers are known for having a very loyal fanbase.     Casey has been compared to Ash in his early days of Pok&eacute;mon training. However, they have different styles of training, and different tastes in Pok&eacute;mon.
