Smart, attractive, athletic, and talented like Yukino, Soichiro Arima becomes Yukino's rival at school. Very handsome and popular, Soichiro excels at kendo and becomes a national champion. He is at first smitten by Yukino, unaware that she secretly hated him and constantly tried to compete with him. After unwittingly discovering that Yukino is not the model student everyone thinks she is, Soichiro blackmails her into doing his school work so he can spend more time with her. After resolving the issue and becoming each other's first true friend, they eventually fall in love.

Arima has alot of issues with his past. He is scared that his family will hate him and reject him like they once did. However, because of that, he decided he had to become a perfect person. But, with Yukino's help he realizes his parents accept him for who he is and that he should love all sides of himself and show his real personality proudly to everyone. ~!His adoptive father is his uncle [Shouji](https://anilist.co/character/253606), the eldest brother of his real father [Reiji](https://anilist.co/character/17237), and of whom Soichiro was named after.!~ ~!In the manga, he was abandoned by his father and abused by his mother as a child, as a result of her only wanting to stay with him to inherit the Arima family fortune, which never came as Reiji was an illegitimate child. In the anime, it is mentioned that his parents abandoned him after stealing money from the Arima family and to evade a massive amount of debt, although he does have flashbacks of abuse from his mother.!~

King Kashue, the Mercenary King, had gained his name by uniting the desert kingdoms with his sword. Now the king of the unified Kingdom of Flaim, he comes to King Fahn's aid in the war against Marmo.  Soon after the war ended, activity began to stir at Fire Dragon Mountain. Shooting Star has awakened! He sets out there with his men to attempt to stop the ancient dragon.  Parn has always had a fondness for the Mercenary King, but Kashue did not become a king for nothing. He refuses Parn's help at first because of his recklessness, but he realizes that without another path to take, Parn would follow him anyway (such as when he followed Kashue to Fire Dragon Mountain). And then, he learns of the rising darkness on Marmo, and King Kashue sees what must be done. He sends the call out to all kingdoms of Lodoss to rise up and face the rising forces of Marmo in one final battle, and the scope is enormous. Even the ancient dragons Narse and Mycin will clash.  

The red jewel on his sword and brooch distinguish Orson as a man possessed by Hyuri, a spirit of war and rage. Whenever his rage builds, such as when his companion Shiris is threatened, he becomes an utter terror, able to cut his sword thrugh rock with the energy his rage carries. Parn himself is shocked at the fury Orson possesses, and it is Shiris who ultimately calms him down.  The sheer fury of the Berserkers is known to all, even the Dark Elves. It is the presence of Orson that forces Pirotess and the other Dark Elves to retreat and let Deedlit be.  He and Shiris join Parn and the others, and he will be with King Kashue when they strike the dragon with the Holy Lances of Myree, bringing Fire Dragon Mountain down upon it. And later, even as Parn leaves to warn the other kingdoms, he sees the darkening sky and senses the danger. He and Shiris will follow that darkness and find Parn in terrible shape. Orson is among the first to understand Parn's concern for Deedlit, so he suggests that while Parn heads for Marmo, he and Shiris would ride to call the other kingdoms of Lodoss to arms.

Spooky E is a synthetic human and agent of the Towa Organization, along with Aya Orihata, sent to investigate Echoes' pillar of light, who later targeted Boogiepop.

During Nagi's stay in the hospital, she met a detective whom she forged a special bond with. His name was Shinpei Kuroda, an undercover agent of the Towa organization. His dream to become a defender of justice left a mark on Nagi's life. Nagi in turn fell in love with Shinpei and has been longing for him ever since.
