Chidori resembles the sin of Envy. Her updated sin is "Goody-Two-Shoes." Her identification when she experiences pain is D-5. 

Chidori was first portrayed as clumsy, emotional, and seemingly nosy at times. She seems to sincerely care about all of the other Kiznaivers, especially [Katsuhira Agata](https://anilist.co/character/89294/Katsuhira-Agata) _(Chidori's childhood friend)_ and tries to cheer them up when they're upset. She got embarrassed rather easily, and had been told by [Tsuguhito Yuta](https://anilist.co/character/89567/Tsuguhito-Yuta) that she was "too heavy" when it comes to her emotions. If too embarrassed or irritated, she would hit the person who caused those feelings. 

Chidori was called "Two-Goody Shoes" by [Noriko Sonozaki.](https://anilist.co/character/89295/Noriko-Sonozaki) She has a tendency to take care of others, as seen when she cooks meals for Katsuhira and [Hajime Tenga,](https://anilist.co/character/89565/Hajime-Tenga) and also when she tries to solve Katushira's problems for him by talking to the teachers about his being bullied and demanding that the bullies return his money. She is very defensive of her friends, especially Katsuhira because she knows he won't defend himself out of apathy. 

~!Chidori fell in love with Katsuhira during their childhood and very much wished for him to return to his original kind and funny personality. She was very upset when she realized that he would not return her feelings, but also understood that she could not make him do so and that continuing to try would be selfish of her.

In the end of the anime, it looks like she might end up having feelings for Tenga in the future.!~

The fictional Japanese city named Sugomori City is built on reclaimed land. But as the years go by, the city's population is decreasing. One day, Sonosaki tells her classmate Katsuhira: "You have been selected to be a Kiznaiver." The Kizuna System, which allows Katsuhira to share his wounds, connects him to the classmates whose lives and personalities completely differ from his. The Kizuna System is an incomplete system for the implementation of world peace that connects people through wounds. All those who are connected to this system are called Kiznaivers. When one Kiznaiver is wounded, the system divides and transmits the wound among the other Kiznaivers.

Katsuhira Agata is a quiet and reserved teenage boy whose sense of pain has all but vanished. His friend, Chidori Takashiro, can only faintly remember the days before Katsuhira had undergone this profound change. Now, his muffled and complacent demeanor make Katsuhira a constant target for bullies, who exploit him for egregious sums of money. But their fists only just manage to make him blink, as even emotions are far from his grasp.<br><br>

However, one day Katsuhira, Chidori, and four other teenagers are abducted and forced to join the Kizuna System as official "Kiznaivers." Those taking part are connected through pain: if one member is injured, the others will feel an equal amount of agony. These individuals must become the lab rats and scapegoats of an incomplete system designed with world peace in mind. With their fates literally intertwined, the Kiznaivers must expose their true selves to each other, or risk failing much more than just the Kizuna System.


A novel that delves into the eight main characters, showing the trauma that they have suffered in their respective pasts and how they matured and turned their eyes to the future.
