Student Council President and commander of Team E, which is also called "Turtle Team." She is manipulative, childish and care-free girl who lets Momo and Yuzuko do all the tank operations while she just sits by as if she the passenger. She forces Miho to participate in Sensha-do. Although as time passes her actions and some comments indicate that the reason she's pushing Sensha-do so hard is to protect the school, not out of vain pride. However, only members of the Student Council know what that reason is but are keeping it to themselves to avoid panicking or pressuring the other students.  Her team uses a Czech made "Panzer 38(t)," it was later on modified to a Jagdpanzer 38(t) "Hetzer" in episode 10.   

~!It was later on revealed that her reason for reviving "Sensha-do"  was to prevent the school's impending closure due to budget cuts in maintaining the ship where the school resides, that is, if they can win  the Sensha-do national tournament.  Later she stopped lazing around during the matches took of the role of gunner in her team, which helped a lot during the fights with Pravda and Kuromorimine teams.!~

You may have heard of kung fu, but the girls at Oarai High School practice gun-fu—really, really BIG 75mm gun-fu, in fact. It's called Sensha-do, and it's the martial art of operating armored tanks! They take it seriously too, and since winning the national Sensha-do championship is such a huge deal at Oarai, they sometimes go to extreme ends in order to get the best students from Panzer class to sign up. Which is how Miho Nishizumi, who HATES operating tanks, gets drafted to join doomsday-driven driver Mako, even-triggered gunner Hana, highly receptive radio operator Saori and combustible tank-fangirl and loader Yukari as the incomparable Anko Team. They may not be on the half-track to fame and fortune, and maybe a few of them would rather shop for tank tops than become tops in tanks, but once their focus is locked and loaded, they're absolutely driven.

Tankathlon is a new form of tank sport gaining slowly gaining popularity among Senshado enthusiasts. While also involving tank battles, Tankathlon is distinguished by its lack of official oversight allowing any school with tanks to participate in a battle anywhere at any time, and a 10-ton weight restriction on tanks used, limiting battles to light tanks and tankettes.

Side-story taking place between the match against St. Gloriana and the beginning of the Senshadou Nationals. It centers around a training match not shown in the anime, between Ooarai Girls High School and the Maginot Girl's Academy.

In the world, the manipulation of tanks (Sensha-do) is one of the traditional martial arts especially for girls. Miho doesn't like Sensha-do and moves to Oarai Girl's High School. But the chairperson of the student council orders Miho to participate in the national Sensha-do championship.
