Ichigo is a a young girl with an incredible sweet tooth - frequently ignored by her mother for having no special talent compared to her younger sister, Natsume, who plays the piano very well. Because she has an incredible palate (one that is able to tell immediately what ingredients are used in different sweets) she is spotted by Henri Lucas during a Sweets Festa. She therefore transfers to St Marie Academy in order to train to become a p&acirc;tissi&egrave;re, like her grandmother. 
Her dream is to make sweets that make the people eating them smile. All the sweet princes have shown signs that they like Ichigo, for which she also reprocates for a select few.

Middle schooler Ichigo Amano has never excelled at anything (other than eating cakes, of course), but a chance encounter with famed pâtissier Henri Lucas changes everything! Henri immediately recognizes Ichigo’s extraordinary palate, offering her a spot at the prestigious pastry school known as St. Marie Academy. There Ichigo meets the Sweet Princes and their fairy guardians, the Sweets Spirits — and together they are determined to become the most acclaimed pastry chefs around!

Aoi Yabusaki, better known by her stage name Aoi Yuuki, is a Japanese actress, voice actress and singer represented by Pro-Fit.

Yuuki entered the entertainment industry at the age of four. As a child, she acted in films and dramas. From 1999 to 2002, she made regular appearances on the variety shows Appare Sanma Dai-sensei and Yappari Sanma Dai-sensei which aired on Fuji TV. When she was in fifth grade, she made her debut as a voice actress as [Sakura](https://anilist.co/character/15429/) on [Kino's Journey](https://anilist.co/anime/486/).

In late 2006, she was affiliated with the theater company Central. After her admission to high school in August 2007, she joined the agency Breath, whilst changing her stage name to Aoi Yuuki. In 2008, she got her first major role in [Kure-nai](https://anilist.co/anime/3358/) as [Murasaki Kuhouin](https://anilist.co/character/10174/). In August of the same year, she moved to the agency Pro-Fit.

In October 2011, she won the Newtype award for best lead voice actress for her role as [Madoka Kaname](https://anilist.co/character/37832/) in [Puella Magi Madoka Magica](https://anilist.co/anime/9756/). She was also awarded for Best Lead Actress in the 6th Seiyuu Awards for Madoka Kaname, [Victorique de Blois](https://anilist.co/character/20170/) and [Tooru Ichii](https://anilist.co/character/38904/).

Amano Ichigo is a 14-year-old cake lover. After meeting a lecturer, Henrie Lucas, at a cake buffet, she enters St. Marie Academy—a school that raises and cultivates future pâtissières. Not only is she placed in the elitist group with three princes of sweets, but she also meets sweets spirit Vanilla on her first day of transfer. Ichigo is air-headed, a total klutz, and a complete novice at cake making, but she's trying her best mastering one at a time in order to make her eaters happy.
