Hajrudin is a giant warrior described as the "new generation" from Elbaph. He is the son of the late King Harald, King of War-Land, and the older brother of Prince Loki. 

~!A century after the Giant Warrior Pirates' disbandment, Hajrudin founded the New Giant Warrior Pirates in an attempt to revive the legendary crew; they formerly served as S-class pirate mercenaries for Buggy's Pirate Dispatch Organization. Hajrudin competed as a gladiator in the Corrida Colosseum on Dressrosa for the Mera Mera no Mi, where he would team up with Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates to overthrow Donquixote Doflamingo's regime. Following this, Hajrudin swore his crew's allegiance to Luffy and became the captain of the sixth ship of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet.!~

As a child, Monkey D. Luffy was inspired to become a pirate by listening to the tales of the buccaneer "Red-Haired" Shanks. But his life changed when Luffy accidentally ate the Gum-Gum Devil Fruit and gained the power to stretch like rubber...at the cost of never being able to swim again!
