She is the older sister of Hirono Hiro and has a talent for painting. Her brother uses her name for his work as a mangaka. She likes to paint herself nude, but lost her ability to draw because she felt alone for some time. She regains her ability to draw later and she is some kind of art teacher for Yuu Himuro, who she loved back at highschool. She was engaged with Kuze for a short time and is a friend of Mizuki later. Her character is energetic but also very kind. She has short brown hair, brown eyes and wears glasses in the present time of the second ef story.

In a story set years in the past, Himura Yuu is a studious and diligent young man intent solely on maintaining his top academic position at Otowa Academy. One day, he meets a mysterious girl named Amamiya Yuuko, who, to his surprise, recognizes him. Memories of a distant childhood, memories rather left forgotten...meeting Yuuko again will force Yuu to confront the regrets and sorrows of their collective pasts and presents.<br><br>
In the present, Kuze Shuuichi may seem like a womanizer, but upon closer inspection, is a man who would rather be left alone. Hayama Mizuki, however, is not the type of girl who would let him be, especially after hearing the beautiful sounds of his violin performance. As Mizuki attempts to become closer to him, Kuze attempts to push her away&mdash;the tale of their budding relationship is darkened with undertones of an imminent tragedy.

She married on December 5, 2012, her 32nd birthday, but later announced her divorce on April 30, 2020.

She was part of the seiyuu unit with [Hitomi Nabatame](https://anilist.co/staff/95184/) called "Hitomi Nabatame to Shizuka Itou" (生天目仁美と伊藤静) under Geneon's cosmic★motion label. Together they are known by the name Hitoshizuku (ひとしずく).
