Amane Kairi is a lecherous but capable detective part of the Special Police Force. In one of their most recent cases, they have come across a drug dealer who is only known to wear a red coat. Kairi goes to look for the help of a problematic ex-detective by the name of Kanoo Tetsuo. After retiring from the police force, Tetsuo has begun to investigate “the man in red” by himself, not knowing that he will be pulled back in by the alluring Kairi.


Kanoh is mentally unstable with a sense of atonement for his former partner who was killed by his own hand, and Kairi is elusive and secretive, faithful to his sexual desires. As they grow closer as partners, their bodies connect as if they were breathing, and they continue their inexpressible relationship, until a new incident occurs, reminiscent of the Maisie crime, which involves the use of illegal drugs. In the process of investigating the connection between the cases and the victims together, he realizes that he and Kairi have a good "chemistry." He realizes that they are more than partners and reminds himself that he should not desire a relationship that goes beyond their current one. Kanoh realizes that he is more than just a partner.
