Hotohori (星宿?), the fourth Emperor of Kōnan, Emperor Cai Pi (彩賁帝, Saihitei?)  has a reputation for his beauty and his narcissism. He is eighteen years old and was born in Eiyou (Rong-Yang), the capital city of the Konan Empire At April 2nd. As one of the Celestial Warriors of Suzaku, he is able to summon a sword; as such he is a powerful swordsman and has been additionally trained in martial arts since childhood. His true name is Seishuku Shu (朱 星宿, Shu Seishuku?)  based on the star Star (星).    Hotohori first hears of the Priestess of Suzaku at a young age and comes to believe that the priestess would become his true love and the one who would love him for himself instead of his title. Upon meeting Miaka, he falls in love with her and becomes willing to do anything for her sake. As such, he becomes a rival to Tamahome for Miaka&#039;s affection, but eventually concedes when he realizes that Miaka will only ever love Tamahome. Hotohori eventually marries a woman Houki, who bears a striking resemblance to Nuriko. He is killed by Nakago during the battle between Konan and Kutō, leaving Houki pregnant with his son Boushin.    Raised with little warmth, Hotohori appears cold, reserved, and harsh, particularly when acting as the Emperor of Konan, but actually shows himself as a warm, peace-loving and gentle person. Known as a responsible ruler and capable of dealing with political affairs, Hotohori often places the well-being of his subjects first and forgets his own needs in the process. However, Hotohori has limited understanding of the world as a result of being raised in a sheltered environment. Kouji is the level headed one of the Generator Gawl trio, Gawl and Ryou. He shows little emotion and laughs only once during the series. 

The math teacher at the school. He graduated from Tokyo University and is very intelligent. He has a perverse mind, and is an obsessive stalker. His tendencies get resolved later on by Onizuka.

He is the leader of the street racers called "Red Suns". One of the most talented and skilled drivers in the Gunma prefecture. The older brother of Takahashi Keisuke, who also drives for Red Suns. To win races he thoroughly analyzes his opponent and the course to come up with an optimal strategy. Has an extraordinary ability to study technical data and set his car up to perform its best.   Has been called "Akagi's White Comet" and is also the founder and manager of "Project D", a street racing team started solely for the purpose of capturing every time attack record in Japan. 

Inuyasha's older half-brother. Unlike Inuyasha, Sesshoumaru is a full-blooded dog-demon and is contemptuous of InuYasha for being a half-demon and for consorting with humans. He is a very powerful demon who seems to have no true equal when it comes to raw power; although given the chance in volume twenty-three, he could not defeat Naraku. Although fandom refers to him as the Lord of the Western Lands, this title appears at no point in the manga. Takahashi also stated that Sesshoumaru has no permanent home. Unlike almost every other demon in the world of InuYasha, he has no interest in possessing even one shard of the Shikon Jewel  Sesshoumaru first appears in search of the sword called Tessaiga, created from their father Inu-no-Taisho's fang, which has the power to kill a hundred yōkai with one swing. However, Inu-no-Taisho left Tessaiga to Inuyasha, and Sesshoumaru instead inherited the Tenseiga, a sword which cannot harm the living, but can bring the dead back to life. Inu-no-Taisho did this in the hopes that Sesshoumaru would learn compassion. Considering Tenseiga useless to him, Sesshoumaru battles Inuyasha several times for possession of Tessaiga, and when Tessaiga is broken by a bite from Naraku's incarnation Goshinki, Sesshoumaru has Goshinki's fangs forged into the evil blade Tokijin, which only he is powerful enough to control. Initially, Sesshoumaru is ruthless and cruel in his pursuit of Tessaiga and his dealings with his brother.

An orphan who was rescued at sea as a young child by the Spanish navigator Mendoza. He wears one of the two sun medallions. He loves adventures and is a very impulsive person. Esteban has a fear of heights which is only strengthened by the people of his home town who believe him to be the &quot;Child of the Sun&quot; and hoist him high up to call out the sun. Zelgadis is a Chimera of human, rock golem, and blue demon, transformed by Rezo, the Red Priest. Zelgadis travels the land with Lina and company to find a way to restore his humanity.  Zelgadis is a very talented individual in magic, sword-fighting, and several other fields, but his forte is definitely his mastery of Shamanism.  He is one of the few characters who remains rather cool and serious throughout the series, and is often the only one in the group with a level head, though he tends to get pissed off when things go awry, or when the group mistreats him (like using him as an anchor due to his weight from the rock golem).

When Sakuya was six years old, he died in a car accident with his mother. However, the spirit of Alexiel&#039;s seven-bladed Holy Sword Nanatsusaya saves him.

The (more or less) leader of the &quot;pack&quot;, Kiba follows his instincts towards Paradise. When he was young, his pack and family were slaughtered when the forest where he lived was burned to the ground by Jagara&#039;s troops. He was then raised by a native who told him that he had a purpose, explaining why the forest spared his life. This native told him that he would have a great journey ahead of him, and that journey was to find paradise. Kiba begins his quest for paradise in the hope that there he will finally find peace. He tends to be distrustful of humans, and in the early episodes is reluctant to take a human form, even when it&#039;s more convenient. He also has a &#039;love&#039; for Cheza, which may only be due to the fact that she can lead them to paradise. Kiba seems to be an arctic wolf in the series. 

Tom Sawyer is a cunning, playful boy. He is around twelve years old. His best friends include Joe Harper and Huckleberry Finn. In The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, it is apparent that Tom is infatuated with Rebecca (alias Becky) Thatcher. He has a half-brother, Sid, a cousin, Mary, and his aunt is known as Aunt Polly, all of whom he lives with. Tom is Aunt Polly's dead sisters' son. It is unknown how Tom's mother died. Tetsuro Hoshino is a young boy who was born on Earth into poverty, and who wants nothing more than a machine body. He also wants revenge on Count Mecha, an evil man who was given a machine body and now hunts humans for sport, for killing his mother. As a street urchin, Tetsuro has no means to buy a machine body. However, he has heard that at the end of the Andromeda Galaxy, there exists a planet where such robot bodies are given away for free. All Tetsuro needs to do is get a pass on the Galaxy Express 999, the cosmic railway. And one day, Tetsuro meets the mysterious Maetel, who promises to give him her unlimited use pass for the Express on the condition that she be his travelling companion. Tetsuro happily agrees, and embarks with Maetel on an adventure across the stars. When Tetsuro starts out, he is every bit the whiny, immature, selfish child. However, the adventures he goes with Maetel on, the people he meets, and the sights he witnesses cause Tetsuro to slowly but truly grow into a strong, young man. Tetsuro also grows closer and closer to Maetel, and although the nature of their relationship might not be called romantic, they form a very strong bond of love. Though it is never explicitly stated, it is implied that Tetsuro is Captain Harlock's son. The evidence for this includes Tetsuro's mother saying that his father is alive but away for some reason, Captain Harlock's mysterious attachment to Tetsuro, and simple physical resemblance.

His nickname is derived from his hairstyle ("permanent"), he is tall and skinny (though his nameless Manga counterpart had quite a fatter form). Perm often displays the most character development, including being the only one of the Stormtroopers to have a visible girlfriend.

Mamoru Chiba is the major romantic interest of Usagi Tsukino. He is often portrayed as stoic, steady and introverted. ~!This may be because when he was young his parents died in a car crash. This blocked his childhood memories of his current lifetime and opened up the memories of his previous life as Prince Endymion. Tuxedo Mask is a disguise Mamoru created for himself in order to hunt for the Silver Crystal incognito and, later, assist the Sailor Senshi in battle.  He is always addressed as Mamo-chan by Usagi throughout the series (Chibiusa also addresses him with this nickname later on). After dating for two years, Mamoru gives Usagi an engagement ring at an airport. The couple eventually gets married. In the future, they become king and queen of Earth and Crystal Tokyo and have a child together whom they name, Small Lady, but is in the majority of the series known as Chibiusa.  The manga develops Mamoru more extensively, showing that the car crash happened on his birthday and gives a glimpse of his parents. He also is given the power of psychometry, which also showed up in the anime, but was not given a name. This manifests in his ability to see and read dreams (such as Chibiusa's), heal people and monitor the status of the Earth. The anime tends not to develop Mamoru as much, however, he is shown to be more social than his manga counterpart. He's interested in a variety of subjects and is shown as smart.  Mamoru also has his left ear pierced in the manga, a trait that does not carry over to his anime counterpart.!~

Abel is the oldest of the two Buttman brothers. He's handsome, strong and has a passionate and impulsive temperament. He falls in love with Georgie and he'll do anything to be with her.

The Zoldyck family manager. All contacts with the family members must go through him. An enigmatic and intimidating character, Killua once expressed to Gon his recurring nightmares of Gotou chasing him with a knife. He is also superb at the "where is the coin" trick. He cares for Killua as if he was his own son.

Chrollo Lucilfer is a calm, young man, coming across as intelligent and charismatic. He seems to be a born leader, able to hold the Genei Ryodan (Phantom Troupe) together despite the volatile personalities that make up the group. He is also an incredibly skilled fighter.


During Nagi's stay in the hospital, she met a detective whom she forged a special bond with. His name was Shinpei Kuroda, an undercover agent of the Towa organization. His dream to become a defender of justice left a mark on Nagi's life. Nagi in turn fell in love with Shinpei and has been longing for him ever since.

Ishizaki Ryo is Tsubasa Ozora´s best friend since the story's very beginning. He lives in the city of Nankatsu, Shizuoka and is introduced as the captain of the until then very unsucessful Nankatsu elementary soccer team.   Though Ishizaki's soccer techniques are far from Tsubasa's level, his strong will and relentless personality has won himself a position in the national team. A demonstration of this is shown during World Youth Cup Finals when Ishizaki was knocked out-cold by blocking an extremely powerful shot at point blank range with his speciality, the face block defense.

Iketani is the leader of the Speedstars and drives an S13 Silvia. He has great pride in his racing team and cares for everyone, including some oppenents. He doesn't know how to drift, but he is working on the back-brake-skid. His driving skills are fairly weak and is scared when the car begins to skid. However, he is getting over his scare and is willing to try almost anything to improve his skills. 

Iketani is often called "senpai" by Itsuki and Takumi (because he is older than them and watches out for them most of the time). He also works at the Esso (GS in the anime) gas station with Takumi and Itsuki and loves to talk about cars non-stop! Iketani is one of those guys that are somewhat dense about women (his relationship with Mako) and often jumps to conclusions too early. However, he learns from his mistakes quickly and even under the heaviest pressures, tries to remain calm and collective.
