A mysterious girl in white who appears in almost every part of the .hack series. Aura is an incredibly powerful A.I. program, and is referred to as an "Ultimate A.I.". The story of her creation, and her purpose is the story of the entire .hack series.

Morgan Le Fey is a misguided Fairy Princess who unseals Celestin. Celestin is using Morgans body because he doesn't have one of his own anymore. At the end of the movie she lets go of everything and stays at the Judgment Gate to tell anyone that goes there that there were a couple at passed the test.    ~!Morgan once fell in love with a human and went to the Judgment Gate to test there devotion. But Morgan which she later learns that she didn't hold enough faith within herself she thought that, one day they would go there separate ways so by thinking that they were forced to live apart. But not accepting that it was her fault she released Celestin to help get revenge. !~

Aoi&#039;s appointed guardian and caretaker, she spent most of her life looking after Aoi and helping in her uprising. She&#039;s also very active in the running of the Sakuraba Department Store. She&#039;s generally very strict and enforces the rules of the Sakuraba summer house as the manager. Despite her initial dislikes of Kaoru and all of his friends, she learns to accept him because of the feelings that Aoi and Kaoru have for each other. She is somewhat humbled in the episode where Tina is introduced courtesy of losing in a drinking game with her. She&#039;s also very fond of breaking watermelons in the summer.    Although the impression is given that she is a tough-as-nails workaholic, she shows various signs of being a very deeply compassionate person. When the pet ferret was in danger of dying from being crushed by a gigantic heirloom pendulum clock, for all her initial dislike of the animal she raced to find a crowbar which she then used to free the ferret, which later became more attached to her than to Tina. Aoi later explains that the ferret could sense the kindheartedness within Miyabi&#039;s samurai-like demeanor.    In the manga, it&#039;s revealed that her parents worked for the Sakuraba family before they passed away from an accident. Aoi&#039;s mother then took in the orphaned Miyabi, who then was tasked with caring for Aoi. She has great respect for Aoi, and shows this by adding the honorific &quot;-sama&quot; after her name. After accepting Kaoru, she adds the honorific &quot;-dono&quot; after his name.    Her given name means &quot;refinement&quot;, which befits her role of training Aoi to be a good wife.

Akari is the very protagonist of this series. Tomoe Midou&#039;s daughter, holder of many unbeaten record and seen as a symbol for the athletes living in the satellite-university, she fights every day with the promise made to the mother to be able to reach herself the satellite and becoming Cosmo Beauty, one day.  Akari is of weak nature, always ready to cry and surrender, although this part of her personality will evolve mainly in the last episodes of the series. 

In order to balance the immense positive magic of the Clow Cards, Clow Reed created the Nothing Card (無), containing negative magic equivalent in magnitude to the other fifty-two cards. Anything that comes into contact with it will cease to exist.     ~!Nothing appears in the second movie and is terribly lonely in the beginning, unable to interact with others without destroying them. The only beings that can interact with her safely are the other Clow Cards. As a result, Nothing tries to steal the Clow Cards (now Sakura Cards) so that she would not be alone again. Nothing&#039;s presence is vastly encompassing, once detecting Eriol&#039;s attempt to call Sakura about the card and destroying the phone lines as a result. Nothing continues to steal the Sakura Cards and destroys everyone and everything that Sakura holds dear; Nothing likely views Sakura as a villain who stole her &quot;friends&quot; (the Clow Cards) and intends for Sakura to suffer the same pain of loss that it has felt for centuries.    In the end, the Sakura Cards try to return to Sakura, and Nothing falls into hysterical despair, believing that her friends have abandoned her. However, Sakura convinces Nothing that it can be her friend, too, together with all the Cards. She returns Nothing to a Clow Card form and then transforms it into a Sakura Card by merging it with the Nameless card to form The Hope. All the damage and deaths caused by Nothing are then miraculously undone.    Nothing is composed of a spherical force field of emptiness where nothing exists. In the center of this force field, one could make out a young girl with long, silvery hair wearing a frilled dress. There is a constant expression of sorrow on the girl&#039;s face. Co-hosts the TV show Big Shot along with Punch. The show features the duo in western attire and provides information on popular Bounty Heads throughout the star system. Judy acts like a stereotypical dumb-blonde, and wears a very revealing outfit. After Punch announces that the show has been cancelled, Judy reacts violently and exclaims that &quot;The station will hear from her agent about this!&quot;  Later, it is revealed that she is engaged to be married to her agent.

Jinnai's younger sister by about a year.   Nanami is highly independent and strongly entrepreneurial, going so far as to take payment from the high school's Broadcast Club to grill her brother over the fraudulent election results on campus television. When she's sent to El-Hazard, she's initially alone and is forced to take on a waitressing job to earn enough money to travel, but she eventually meets up with Makoto and Fujisawa at the Fountain of Arliman, where she is able to start a small business selling boxed lunches to the visiting priestesses. Nanami has feelings for Makoto, but she's never really had the opportunity to talk about a relationship with him.   Nanami's power gained upon entering El-Hazard is to see through the illusions of the Phantom Tribe, making her a viable defense against the greatest threat in the first OVA series. Her past relationship with Makoto is also explored a bit more in detail, and she becomes good friends with Princess Rune Venus. As well, in the last episode of the TV series, Alielle describes Nanami and herself as "special friends", lending their relationship a certain homoerotic subtext, though this seems to be more along the lines of a big sister relationship. She is the oldest Gate Keeper in Japan, having been born in 1169. However, she has stopped aging and appears in 1969 as a young girl in a white kimono. Ruriko and Shun first met her during their mission to recover a crashed plane and its cargo at Mt. Daisetsu in GK. Like her name Yukino suggests, she commands the Gate of Ice and Snow, being able to summon blizzards and hail. Yukino is also capable of teleportation and sending off visions that let a person to see a scene without actually being there. She is dubbed as the most powerful Gate Keepers in the series by Reiji Kageyama. One of her unique traits is the fact that she converses in Tanka poetry. Though she does help the A.E.G.I.S. members, she is not an official member of A.E.G.I.S. She also has a pet ermine, Hisame. She is closest to Shun&#039;s sister, Saemi Ukiya.    Yukino re-appeared in GK21, taken up residence in Tategami High and have been the source for the rumours of ghosts that come out at night. Tragically while her body has not aged, her powers and strength are finally waning and long ago gave up appearing in front of her old friend, Saemi. Recognizing a similar sadness in the daughter of an old friend, she helps and befriends Ayane and Miu.    The reason for her agelessness is explained in episode 5 of GK21. Gate Keepers usually have sad backgrounds because their gates absorb their happiness. Reiji Kageyama (Nazo) even mentions that gates that are used many times can destroy a gatekeeper. In Yukino&#039;s case, she was summoning her gate constantly in times of emergency so her time was frozen because of overuse. She seemingly shared a close relationship with Reiji, talking about a promise they had made in one of the scene in the OVA.    Though she suffered a fatal wound after her face-off with Yuurei Shoujo in GK21 and her body dissipated into snow, she re-appeared in the final scene to pick up Hisame looking just as she used to be.

Tachikawa&#039;s first appearance is in the third episode, where she rescues Miu and her friends when the Invaders attack a Karaoke Bar. Her combat tactics generally revolve around frontal assaults using her gate to materialize a variety of swords and knives.    Summoned to the region by Reiji Kageyama, she arrives as reinforcements for the Top-Ranked hunter, Ayane Isuzu. Unlike Ayane, she does her job with zeal and seems to relish making money from her ventures. The differences in their personalities also fuels the one sided rivalry that she has with Ayane. Ayane is shown to generally ignore her and walks away even during the middle of conversations. This dismissive attitude only serves to frustrate Satoka even more.  ~Wikipedia

A Tachikoma is an AI walker/roller tank in the Ghost in the Shell universe, appearing only in the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex sub-universe. They are best described as a &quot;spider type multi leg/multi ped combat vehicle equipped with artificial intelligence&quot;, possessing the ability to act as both personel transport units and mobile weapons platforms.

Design: 
Tachikoma are the size of a small car, and are of a middle-blue colour, with four &quot;eyes&quot; fitted on the surface of their bodies. Three are on the &quot;head&quot; and one is beneath the abdomen. Each eye has three pinholes, possibly for triangulation. These eyes sometimes become expressive in the typical anime style. Tachikoma are controlled by individual AIs, are capable of speech and generally exhibit a childish, curious, joyful and active personality, although they are consummate professionals in the field. They normally operate as independent units and receive orders from human agents, but they can also be directly piloted from a cockpit in their abdomen.  Tachikoma have four legs and two arms. They can move by walking, or they can drive at high speed by using the wheeled footpads on each of their four legs. They are apparently street-legal (presuming no legal exemption for Section 9). Each wheel appears to be angled and omnidirectional, allowing the Tachikomas to move in any direction with their holonomic drive system. Other abilities of the Tachikoma include jumping great distances, sticking to vertical or inverted surfaces, engaging a thermoptic camouflage mechanism, and grappling/rappelling using their adhesive string launchers. Tachikoma maintain control of their legs while using wheels to drive down a road, and shift their weight around turns. They can also roll briefly on to two legs while driving to avoid an obstacle or pass through a narrow space. To make balance easier, they can move their heavy abdomens with a ball joint. Their movements when walking and jumping were modelled on a jumping spider. Almost all of the Tachikomas&#039; physical abilities are showcased in Episode 2 of Stand Alone Complex, &quot;Runaway Evidence &ndash; Testation&quot;.    Standard Tachikoma equipment includes a 7.62x51mm light machine gun mounted in the right arm, a secondary weapon hardpoint in the &quot;snout&quot; (usually a 50mm grenade launcher, capable of launching both explosive and gas grenades, but which can be replaced by a six-barrelled 12.7x99mm Gatling gun), a universal cybernetic connector on an extensible, prehensile cable in the left arm, and a built-in thermoptic camouflage system. 

AI:  
Tachikoma&#039;s are gifted with very childlike AI, unexpected of a machine in a governmental special forces team, which gives rise to much of the comedy relief in Stand Alone Complex. Though they possess individual artificial intelligence, every night they are synchronised, so they start the next day with identical consciousnesses that are each the sum of their total collective experience &amp; development. This leads to identity confusion, since each Tachikoma has the same memories.     ~!It is explained in the last episode of the first season that it is their curiosity that lets them be different from each other. It is curiosity that saves a personality from dying when linked with others.    A notable paradox arises from this synchronization, however. Though the Tachikoma have identical memories, their personalities and opinions are distinct. During the Stand Alone Complex series, an episode is entirely devoted to discussions among them.    These separate personalities reveal three &#039;main&#039; Tachikoma. The first one considers itself Batou&#039;s personal Tachikoma, which has a personality of a hyperactive child. It is curious, inquisitive, and tends to get many &#039;bright&#039; ideas. It is special, given that he pampers it with natural oil and refuses to operate any other while on assignments. The second major Tachikoma (possibly favored by Major Kusanagi) is more logical, acting as the straight man to the first. The third Tachikoma is somewhat slower than the others and will at times have a difficult time keeping up with the other Tachikomas when discuss about such in-depth topics such as what it means to be &quot;alive&quot;. There is also a fourth Tachikoma with a distinctive personality, who is a bookworm and an intellectual. Its body was taken apart during the experimentation incident, but its AI has presumably been saved for further analysis.    At one point in the series, while all but three of the Tachikomas are either locked away in a lab for study or dismantled for study, three surviving Tachikoma units abandon their civilian posts to assist the Major and Batou. This is the only time in the series where the tachikoma vary in appearance, as a few units have been disarmed for either study or to be sold off to civilian contracts. Batou&#039;s unit remained mainly unchanged, although it was given a set of decals to represent its new ownership, and its liquid wire launchers had been removed. The other two have been more extensively repainted and or modified, with the remaining laboratory unit&#039;s cockpit having been replaced by a much smaller diagnostic module, and the other contracted unit now bearing a construction color scheme. Only the blue tachikoma retained it&#039;s grenade launcher.!~

Kazuya receives May, a hand sized 1/6th scale cyberdoll, in a package from Cyberdyne Co. (not to be confused with The Terminator's robotic company, Cyberdyne Systems) because of an accidental order which happened as a result of a revenge tactic planted in a CD from his rival, Nanbara. A cyberdoll, May was never paid for by Kazuya. Cyberdolls can control traffic lights and simple electronics and connect to personal computers via what may or may not be USB cables. She later becomes a human-sized 17-year-old version. Her personality is innocent, and at times childish and naive, though she also shows surprising insight and is always able to cheer Kazuya up. Unlike the other Cyberdolls, May's Maid Program had evolved, making her more human and resistant to the retro-cybervirus that threatened the other Cyberdolls. She shows strong feelings of affection toward Kazuya and is often competing with Kasumi. In the last episode it has also been stated that she can give birth.   (Source: Wikipedia) 

The daughter of Dr. Komyoji, the scientist who created Jiro. She develops feelings for Jiro and helps to repair him when he is damaged. Jiro tries to keep away from her to protect her feelings. Mitsuko Komyoji is played by Jun Mizunoe.

Lalah is a young woman who is the "star student" of Professor Flanagan due to her strong Newtype abilities, and as such is also one of the key test subjects in the development of Newtype-related weaponry. Being one of the earliest and most successful known Newtypes, her powers are accompanied by a profound spiritual awareness.  Despite her gentle nature, Lalah is fiercely loyal to the man who saved her life —- Char Aznable, the scheming "Red Comet", who found her in an Indian brothel where she worked after losing her parents in the war. She was assigned to pilot the Newtype use mobile armor MAN-08 Elmeth as a part of the Newtype research project conducted by the Flanagan Institute. Lalah is ranked as an ensign under Char.

Lalah has a profound impact on Amuro and is considered his first love. During the Elmeth's test run which saw its Newtype "bits" weaponry wreak havoc on the Federal Fleet guarding the newly-captured Zeon base Solomon, Amuro in the Gundam engaged the Elmeth but found out the pilot was Lalah. Both then realized they were soulmates and shared a "Newtype bonding", a sort of telepathic bond.

~!Char arrives and chastises Lalah for "consorting with the enemy" - raising his beam to strike down Amuro's wingman Sayla Mass, piloting the CoreBooster jet. Lalah tells Char to stop, for she sensed the pilot was Char's sister Artesia. Char hesitates, giving Amuro the opportunity to sever the weapon arm of Char's Gelgoog, rendering it incapacitated. Amuro went for the killing blow but Lalah knocks away Char and takes a lethal strike. This has a profound effect on both men, as their rivalry escalates from a professional to a very personal one which culminated in the movie Char's Counterattack. Although she died before the end of the One Year War, Lalah Sune's spirit occasionally returns from beyond the grave to haunt both Char and Amuro Ray, as seen in Char's Counterattack.!~

Mikako is Riho and Shunichi's friend. Like Shunichi she also enjoys film making. However, she is just as puzzled and alarmed as he when Riho becomes a vampire and starts acting strangely. In order to calm herself, she becomes addicted to pills of Chinese herbs which later prove disastrous to both her and Shunichi as they become sitting ducks for Nightbreeds when using them. A member of the Control Section, a combination of mission control and air traffic control for spacecraft around or based in the ISPV 7 Space Station. She was raised in the United States, but born in the impoverished South American nation of El Tanika. She makes a fateful friendship with Hakim, of the Orbital Security Agency and later, a Jupiter Mission candidate.    Gigalt gave her a nickname too - &quot;The Swan&quot;. He gave his reasoning for this nickname to Tanabe: Claire&#039;s personality is, on the surface, serene and relaxed. But below the surface, she is working (paddling) very hard just to keep pace with the world around her. Real name Sayo Muto, Lady Magdalia is Shogo Amakusa's younger sister. She serves as a holy mother to their crowd of followers and a teacher to the young children. She has suffered from consumption ever since she was a child (which she perhaps obtained from her mother, who suffered the same illness). She is often seen accompanied by Shozo, a childhood friend whom she and her brother saved from persecution. Magdalia is a devout Christian and believes in everything that her brother says and does, which leads to her and Sanosuke Sagara having clashing personalities. Her most prized possession is her mother's holy medallion which is lost and eventually returned to her by Sanosuke. She comes to respect him and wishes that she had met someone like him earlier in life so that she could have had a more open heart to those outside her faith. She is shot as she protects the Dutch consul, who can save her townspeople, and refuses to be treated in the hope that the people she cares for will be saved. She dies in Sanosuke's arms after telling him her real name. Shogo promises to make her dreams of a land of equality and peace a reality.

Ayame's little sister, she comes to Japan, around the same time as Orihime and Leni, for Kaede was originally Deputy Commander to the short-lived European Star Division, stepping in her older sister's shoes after her death. Kaede is seen as the more "Independent" and less conservative of the two. 

Second in command of the organization Scarlet, Eirote is constantly by princess Senes&#039; side, acting as her personal secretary and helping to keep the princess&#039; volatile temper in check. Eirote first met Princess Senes in Giat&#039;s palace gardens while working as a maid. Upon seeing Senes covered in cuts and bruises inflicted on her by her brother, she resolved to stay by her side forever. While she realizes that she is too weak to protect Senes physically, she has decided instead to protect her heart.    A recurring joke is that whenever Senes needs Eirote for something, she always screams Eirote&#039;s name out loud, even if she&#039;s standing right behind her.

Chun-Li is a video game character created by Capcom. She is part of the Street Fighter series, and is the first female playable character to appear in a mainstream fighting game. Introduced in Street Fighter II, Chun-Li was the only female character in the game, and while not as physically powerful as the other characters, she was by far the quickest. Her most famous attack is the Hyakuretsukyaku (Hundred Rending Leg, commonly known as the Lightning Kick), where she repeatedly kicks her opponent from a tilted standing position with incredible speed. R. Dorothy Wayneright is Roger&#039;s assistant. She resembles Dorothy Soldano a daughter of rich scientist Miguel Soldano, she is later revealed to be an android constructed by him. Her actual &quot;father&quot; would be Timothy Wayneright, the man who commissioned her construction and father of the real Dorothy Wayneright. To show her gratitude, and as a form of payment for Roger&#039;s help, she decides to move in with him and help out Norman with the chores. Dorothy has formed a habit of playing a fast Chopin piece when Roger oversleeps, and Roger states that it is an irritating way to start his day.    

As an android, Dorothy cannot feel human emotions. Because of this, Roger often asks Dorothy for her opinion on certain subjects. Not only does Dorothy&#039;s opinion remain uninfluenced by human emotions and personally unbiased, but it allows Roger to further understand her complexity.
