Living up to his name, Jobs does the random jobs on the Gekko and also manages the majority of the hardware aboard the Gekko. Primarily, he's Gekko's engineer and often is found around the core systems room when the ship is requires extra attention in powered flights or battles. He's always immaculately dressed in a shirt, vest, and tie. He also has a calm, expert bearing, but he occasionally lets these mannerisms slip when something is mentioned that particularly excites him. Like Gonzy, he was originally a stowaway, but allowed to stay because of his talents. He is fond of "Dr. "Bear," as seen in episode 31, and is a huge fan of Dr. Bear's research and engineering theories. He is modeled after Steve Jobs (hence, "Jobs"), one of the co-founders of Apple. Franky is a cyborg who is the shipwright of the Straw Hat Pirates. He first appeared in the Water 7 arc. Franky is one of "Tom's Workers".  Franky's dream is to build a ship that would travel to the end of the Grand Line. This is the ship that the Straw Hats are currently riding, but his dream is not yet achieved until they make it to the end.  Franky usually acts tough and is quickly angered, but he is also very emotional when it comes to sad tales and often bursts into large tears, or on some occasions, plays a song. His most distinguishable personality trait is his flamboyant attitude. He frequently shouts the word 'SUPER' when he's in a positive mood, or adds it into his speech. He also has a signature pose which he uses very often.  Franky is quick to defend other people (eg. Franky Family, Nico Robin) and take action if his friends are harmed. He is also quick in making friends, allies, and comrades with even the most unlikely of individuals. Because of this, he is seen as a 'big brother' figure. Monkey D. Luffy bears similar qualities (with the exception of engaging in unnecessary fights) and because of this, despite the disputes the two had in the past, both grew to respect each other during the events of the Enies Lobby Arc.

Damos once witnessed Arceus sacrificing its life to save the world from meteors. Arceus sustained heavy damage doing this, and lost possession of its Plates. Damos returned them to Arceus, and as gratitude for saving its life, Arceus granted him the Jewel of Life, made of five of them, to revitalize Michina Town, at that time a wasteland.     Though Arceus made Damos promise to return the Jewel of Life at the time of the next solar eclipse, Marcus was fearful that Michina Town would revert to its lifeless state if this was done, and together the two betrayed Arceus, with Damos under the control of Marcus&#039;s Bronzong&#039;s Hypnosis.     Ash, Dawn, Brock and Sheena travel back in time with the help of Dialga to prevent Arceus&#039;s betrayal. It was revealed Marcus used to be Damos&#039;s underling but overthrew the latter and put him in prison. There he finds out from Ash and co. that he would betray Arceus in the near future and that Marcus is behind everything. Thanks to the help of his friend, the Spiky-eared Pichu, he managed to break free. He saved Sheena from certain doom and managed to convince her that he isn&#039;t a betrayer like the legend makes him out to be. Together they stop all of the Pok&eacute;mon from attacking Arceus by connecting with them. Damos manages to break through Arceus&#039;s anger and connect with it thereby calming it down. He then later bids farewell to the &quot;future children&quot; and makes a stone engraving with them on it for them to see when they get back to the future.

A sawshark fish-man. He was the pirate captain of the all fishman crew, the Arlong Pirates, a former member of the Sun Pirates, and the older brother of Madam Shyarly. He is known for being the main villain in the Arlong Arc and had the highest bounty in East Blue before being defeated by Monkey D. Luffy. Like many other One Piece characters, he has his own unique laugh, which is "Shahahahaha."

Arlong considers humans to be inferior beings and is very cruel to them. He is keen to separate his race from humans, and has the mentality that his people are superior to humans in every way. He thinks nothing of killing a town full of humans, although he seems to prefer controlling people with money and deals.  He has an eye for spotting exploitable talent that he can use for his goals and is an excellent planner. He spent eight years using Nami and her maps to plan his takeover of the East Blue. Nevertheless, any promise about money he makes, he keeps. However, even though Arlong states he can't go back on his word, he has no qualms about exploiting loopholes in his deals to unfairly get his way.

He is also quick to anger, and has been ill-tempered since his younger years. He wasn't always entirely brutal, but it was later shown that he had grown more arrogant over time to the point that he completely had no sympathy for humans. However, he displays a high level of brotherhood with his crew and even towards Nami despite her species divide. Arlong looks after his crew members and even though he betrayed Nami, he did so because he didn't want to lose her talent.  Arlong would never harm his fellow fishmen no matter the circumstance and cares for his crew a lot.

Dalton used to be a guard who served under King Wapol, but was opposed to Wapol&#039;s treatment of his subjects. He was seen with Wapol in Alabasta in a meeting with Princess Nefertari Vivi&#039;s father. He was inspired to rebel by Hiruluk. After seeing Hirluk&#039;s noble sacrifice, he turned against Wapol, but was subdued and thrown in prison, constantly mocked by Wapol and his henchmen, Chess and Kuromarimo. After Wapol abandoned his kingdom when Blackbeard invaded, Dalton took charge and kept the island from falling into disarray, soon gaining the trust of the people.    When Monkey D. Luffy and his crew came to Drum Island in search of a doctor to cure Nami of her illness during the mission to get Princess Nefertari Vivi to Alabasta Kingdom, they encountered Dalton and some men who thought they were here to rob the island. He doesn&#039;t live in the castle, preferring to live in the village.    

He has eaten the Devil Fruit known as the Ushi Ushi no Mi, Model: Bison (ウシウシの実 モデル野牛(バイソン) Cow Cow Fruit, Model Bison) which gives him the ability to transform into a bison and into a half human/half bison form that resembles a minotaur. Kanon is a character with a substantial importance in the universe of Kurumada's manga, and therefore in its anime adaptation. He is directly responsible for triggering two main events :   ~!the battle of the 12 temples and the resurrection of Poseidon, Emperor of the Seas. Also, Kanon is notable for redeeming himself after all his sins in the past and wreaking havoc as the new Gemini Gold Saint against the army of the 108 Specters in the battle against Hades.!~   ~!Kanon is the younger twin brother of gold saint Gemini Saga, and later took up his position as a Gold Saint after Saga's death. Before finally embracing his destiny as the Gemini Saint, Kanon masqueraded as the Sea Dragon General, one of Poseidon's seven Sea Generals.  At first, Kanon was depicted as a treacherous man, always tempting his twin brother to use his status and power to advance his status of influence beyond that of a Gold Saint. He concluded that their amazing and powerful abilities were gifts from the Gods for them to take advantage of. Much to his dismay, his brother opposed this and caused his incarceration at Cape Junion. After his redemption, however, Kanon becomes a much centered person, much like his brother.  Kanon was the one person responsible for Poseidon's awakening, although he kept Poseidon just half awakened so that he could pose as the true leader of the Marines as a Marine General and use Poseidon's army to achieve his desires. This was probably a reference he made to the myth associated to the Gemini Constellation, which represents Castor and Pollux, brothers of Helen of Troy.   ~!Along with Leo Aiolia, Saga disguised as the Pope was the first Gold Saint that Masami Kurumada introduced in his manga, although their rank was revealed until later volumes. In his first appearance, Saga presided the event in which Pegasus Seiya acquired the status of Saint. In the anime adaptation, he was introduced in identical manner, in episode 1.  Saga served as the main antagonist for the Sanctuary arc. Being an excellent strategist, Saga managed to put himself in control of the sanctuary (though unfairly) for many years. Before the final showdown between himself and Pegasus Seiya, Saga was portrayed as a mysterious being with his facial features hidden from view.  Saga is often described by other characters as someone with the kindness of an angel but with the darkness of a demon. This ambivalence ended up creating a split personality: a good Saga that was extremely loyal to Athena and an evil one that keep the control of the body most of the time and killed the previous Pope to steal his place. Sometimes it is hinted that the creation of his "bad" personality had the influence of some external force, although nothing was clearly stated.  When it takes the control of Saga's body, his hair turn from blond to jet-black (the color schemes were altered for the anime, in which Saga's normally blue hair turned light grey). A character in Kirby's anime series, Kirby of the Stars (Kirby: Right Back at Ya!). He is King Dedede's sidekick/assistant and one of the new characters added to the series. He's given several episodes devoted to him and a good deal of character development.     Appearance    Escargon is a snail who comes up to Dedede's shoulder. His skin is lavender, and his shell is dark green. His eyes are green as well, and rise over the rest of his head on a stalk. He has a short, light green mustache and goatee, and only four teeth.     Background    Escargon grew up in a small house on a farm with his mother somewhere on Pop Star. When he grew up he left home, promising his mother that he'd make her proud. Unfortunately, the real world was harsh, and he ended up working for King Dedede in Dream Land.    Escargon is called Dr. Escargon in the original, but only in the first few episodes.     Personality    Escargon has two distinct sides to his personality. There's the part of him that helps Dedede with his schemes and tricks, but he also seems to have a genuinely nice side to him that appears in extreme situations.    Escargon is an older guy, middle aged or later, and tends to get quite grumpy with the children of the village. He usually acts quite mean and haughty towards people in general, using his status as the king's assistant to give him the right to boss people around or threaten them with the death penalty. One confusing aspect however is whether he's really a mean guy who only acts nice when he wants something, or if he's actually nice but only does bad things to get Dedede's approval. (Since his mother says Escargon is cowardly and would never hurt anyone, it seems that the latter option is more likely- though Dedede's influence is certainly corrupting.)    Escargon can be quite cheerful and animated at times, and often does oddly effeminate things such as wear frilly aprons with hearts. (Other than that he rarely wears any articles of clothing, except an occasional bow tie, sun hat, or scarf in cold weather.) He's also the usual host of Channel DDD for newscasts and special programs.    He's also quite intelligent with a wide range of knowledge in botany (he wrote an encyclopedia on the subject called The Encyclopedia of Botanica), chemistry and electronics/robotics. When Dedede doesn't order something from Holy Nightmare Inc., he tends to use one of Escargon's inventions instead, such as a formula that turns things into demon beasts. He builds various machines such as submarines and missiles.     Relationships    The person Escargon spends the bulk of his time with is, of course, King Dedede. His duties as Dedede's assistant are numerous, from cooking to cleaning to giving back rubs. He basically tries to ensure the king's well-being and happiness in any way he can, sometimes to the detriment of his own. And unfortunately, one of his jobs is to be Dedede's personal punching bag. He often falls victim to Dedede's mallet or just gets punched if he happens to be nearby and the king is angry. Dedede also likes to pull pranks on him and scare him just because he can.    Despite all this, he actually cares about Dedede quite a lot. (Though he still hates how Dedede treats him and tries to gets even when he can, and often subtly insults him right to his face in ways that Dedede isn't bright enough to catch on to.)    Escargon's true feelings became clear in episode 055, where he sings a song saying how Dedede is always mean to him, but ending with, &quot;He's truly very selfish, but I love His Majesty.&quot; This perhaps explains why he's content to continue working for Dedede, when he could conceivably get a job elsewhere with his skills. (In the dub version, he doesn't actually care about him, but instead only sticks around in hopes of gaining money or becoming king himself.) He's even shown sleeping with a plush toy of Dedede in a later episode, and puts up with some of his more bizarre plans- one of which involved him dressing in drag so Dedede could practice his marriage proposal techniques.    Escargon's mother is the most important person to him, maybe even more so than Dedede. He's quite attached to her, and will do anything to make her proud- even once pretending to be the king. His mother loves her only son dearly, but she can be rather harsh with him and will tease him- though affectionately. (His father is never mentioned, so he either died when he was young or was never involved in his son's life.)    Unlike Dedede, Escargon doesn't harbor any bad feelings towards Kirby himself. He'll help Dedede just for the sake of helping him, but on his own he doesn't really have a problem with the pink puffball. Kirby likes Escargon quite a bit- but then Kirby likes nearly everyone. Garp is a Marine hero who was famous for cornering the late Pirate King, Gold Roger, numerous times in his career. Garp is considered by Whitebeard as one of the few people that know the seas from the time of Roger.

~!It is later revealed that his real name is Monkey D. Garp (モンキー・D・ガープ) and he is also the father of Monkey D. Dragon and the grandfather of Monkey D. Luffy.!~

Garp is first introduced in Koby's mini-series as the Marine officer in charge of escorting Captain Morgan. However after falling asleep, Morgan makes his escape by striking Garp and taking Helmeppo as a hostage, fleeing on a small dingy. Garp then wakes up unharmed, apparently breaking a cannon in the process of waking up. When Koby begs to chase after the two, Garp allows Koby to persue them. Upon the boys return they offer themselves to be punished, but Garp instead proposes a different course of action. He states that the pair of them are nothing but trouble and the only way to ensure they still in line is that he takes charge of the pair. He takes them back to Marine HQ where he begins to train them to become great Marine Officers.
