Yukinari Ookido is a Pokémon Professor and a major supporting character of the Pocket Monsters anime who lives and works at his research lab in Masara Town. He appears semi-regularly to give Satoshi advice to help him achieve his goal of becoming the greatest Pokémon Master.

Duke is a red and black striped frog and Chocolat&#039;s magical familiar. As her familiar Duke is supposed to try his best to help her collect as many hearts as possible, but you mostly see him lounging around on her bed or sleeping. Instead of giving Chocolat advice, he makes discouraging comments. He finishes all of his sentences with &#039;-kero&#039; which is similar to &#039;ribbit&#039; in English. He fights a lot with Blanca and often calls her a rat.    In the manga  ~! Duke is really Poivre, Cinnamon&#039;s brother won turned himself into a familiar trying to hid since he was searched by the palace guards for hiding Cinnamon, but the spell backfired and he turned into a real familiar. He got back to being a human after getting a white heart.!~

Mamoru Endou's Soccer-Superstar grandfather. Years ago, he was a member of the original "Inazuma Eleven" soccer team and then acted as the coach for the Raimon Junior High soccer club.

Bugsy (Tsukushi in original Japanese language versions) is in charge of the Hive Badge, and resides in Azalea Town. He is an expert on Bug-type Pok&eacute;mon. His name derives from the word bug.    In the anime  In the anime, Bugsy is a fairly nondescript gym leader whose gym is a large greenhouse dome with a forest-like interior. His motto is &quot;Whoever learns the rules of the Bug Pok&eacute;mon learns to rule the Bug Pok&eacute;mon&quot;, and his signature Pok&eacute;mon is Scyther, which he has specifically trained to counter fire Pok&eacute;mon. His other Pok&eacute;mon are a Spinarak that specializes in String Shot, and a particularly hard and hard-hitting Metapod. When Ash challenges Bugsy&#039;s Pok&eacute;mon Gym, Ash&#039;s relatively inexperienced Cyndaquil fails to defeat Spinarak. Ash&#039;s Chikorita succeeds, but in turn is defeated by Bugsy&#039;s Metapod. Pikachu finishes off Metapod, and in the end, Cyndaquil comes back to defeat Scyther, winning Ash the Hive Badge.    In the manga  In Pok&eacute;mon Adventures, Bugsy is an androgynous-looking archaeologist investigating the Ruins of Alph and the Symbol Pok&eacute;mon. His signature Pok&eacute;mon is a Heracross, supplemented with a Metapod. He later acquires a Kakuna and Scyther. He also has a special method of catching Pok&eacute;mon, one which was invented by him and Kurt, the Pok&eacute; Ball master. Bugsy has an external capture net attached to his Pok&eacute; Ball, so when he traps the Pok&eacute;mon inside the capture net it is automatically sucked into the Pok&eacute; Ball. If the Pok&eacute;mon manages to escape from the Pok&eacute; Ball, it will still be trapped inside the external capture net and thus will still be unable to break free completely. However, when Bugsy faces Suicune his efforts to fight the legendary Pok&eacute;mon head-on fail as his Heracross&#039;s strength falls to the much-stronger Suicune. Eventually Bugsy tries to use the capture net method to capture Suicune, but Suicune manages to break Bugsy&#039;s net for the first time, and escapes. Later, he is defeated by Sabrina in the Gym Leaders&#039; Challenge.

Matis is the Gym Leader of Kuchiba City's Gym, known officially as the Kuchiba Gym. He hands out the Thunder Badge to Trainers who defeat him. He specializes in Electric-type Pokémon.

An intimidating person, Matis surrounds himself with other tough-looking Trainers. He is arrogant, loud, and crude; and refers to all challengers as "babies" until they manage to defeat him. Matis generally looks down on unevolved Pokémon, preferring to evolve them as soon as possible. He also seems to be an extremely brutal battler, as nearly every Trainer that faced him ended up with their Pokémon being seriously injured.

Anoki is a character of the day who appeared in *Fighting Pokémon! The Great Battle!*. He operates the Fighting Spirit Gym, an elite facility for Fighting-type Pokémon.

Anoki was training his Ebiwalar to compete in the upcoming P1 Grand Prix. He was so determined to train and win, that he was neglecting his family. His daughter Manami's feelings convinced Satoshi and Takeshi to compete in the P1 Grand Prix to defeat him.

Flint first appeared in Showdown in Pewter City. Ash and Misty met Flint, who was selling rocks as souvenirs. Ash bragged about his goal to become a Pok&eacute;mon Master, but Flint told Ash that thinking he could defeat Brock, the Pewter City gym leader was foolish.    After the match, which Ash lost, Flint brought him home and talked with Ash about Brock. Flint took him to Brock&#039;s house and revealed that Brock had nine younger siblings that he constantly had to take care of, because his father left to become a Pok&eacute;mon Trainer. He never returned, as did his mother.    Flint decided to help Ash in his gym battle and hooked Pikachu to a hydro-electric dam to increase its strength. After the gym battle, Flint showed up and revealed himself to be Brock&#039;s father. He had failed to become a successful Pok&eacute;mon Trainer and couldn&#039;t face Brock and his siblings. As Brock wanted to travel with Ash, he left the Gym Leader position and the duty of being head of the family to Flint.    Flint met Brock again in A Family That Battles Together, Stays Together! when he returned to Pewter City after traveling through Kanto, Johto, and the Orange Archipelago. Brock scolded Flint for not taking care of the Gym. An embarrassed Flint explained that that he had just got the Gym set up the way he liked it when Brock&#039;s mother returned. Flint took Brock back to the Gym, which had been redecorated. Flint closed it because he couldn&#039;t stand it anymore.    Lola and Flint had a rematch for the title of Gym Leader, which he lost. Fortunately, Brock was able to beat his mother. Flint and Lola then agreed to change the Gym to specialize in a combination of Water-types and Rock-types. Sabrina's father (Japanese: ナツメ 父親 Natsume's father) is a character who appeared in two episodes of the Pokémon anime. He is voiced by 秋元羊介 Yōsuke Akimoto in Japanese and Maddie Blaustein in English. Due to the fact that he was never given a name, this page will simply refer to him as Sabrina's father.   He first appeared in Abra and the Psychic Showdown. He recommended that Ash should not battle Sabrina, the Saffron City Gym Leader. After Ash was defeated by her, her father returned and told Ash the only way to defeat Sabrina is by using a Ghost-type Pokémon.   He returned in Haunter versus Kadabra to save Ash from being turned into a doll by Sabrina. Her father told Ash that Sabrina was not always as mysterious and manipulating as she is now. Ash returned to the gym, and using his Haunter, he was able to earn his Marsh Badge by making Sabrina laugh again and therefore became herself again like she had in the past.   Although it is revealed that the man is Sabrina's father, Ash never figured out their relation. He believed that the man knew so much about Sabrina because he was her photographer, while in the Japanese version Ash believed that he is a neighbor of Sabrina's.   He is also shown to be capable of teleporting without the use of a known Pokémon, as well as being able to teleport others with him. The Gentleman comes up to Ash and commends his Butterfree. He proposes a trade between his Raticate and Ash's Butterfree. Later Ash finds the Gentleman, and requests that the trade be reversed.

Anubis (アヌビス, Anubisu)is the main antagonist in Yu-Gi-Oh! The Movie: Pyramid of Light.    In the English version of the movie, Pharaoh Atem had defeated Anubis a long time ago, only for him to eventually resurface as a after effect of Yugi Muto solving the Millennium Puzzle. To that end, Anubis posseses the King of Light (Kaiba) to defeat the King of Darkness (Dark Yugi) and become ruler of the world. However, when Kaiba regains control, Anubis removes him and personally duels Yugi. However, though he lost the duel, Anubis turns into the King of Destruction and tries to kill his enemies, only to be destoryed by Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon.
