One of the truly hilarious characters in the series , he is Toshio's demanding Section Chief, who oversees the Detective's Division of the Inunaki Precinct. Nothing really is known about him, even his full name is never disclosed. He is constantly at odds with Toshio over his handling of the Cat's Eye investigation, and scolds Toshio at every opportunity.

Jealous only appears in a flashback when Rem explains a method to kill a Shinigami. In this flashback, Rem recalls Jealous watching over a woman  in the human world. Surprised by his concern, Rem eventually looks over his shoulder and witnesses what should have been the woman's last moments on Earth. In a dark alley, a distraught man mistakes woman as the woman who broke up with him and attempts to stab her to death. Apparently infatuated with the woman, Jealous uses his Death Note to kill her destined murderer; the man suddenly walks away to commit suicide. Moments later, Jealous himself turns to a pile of sand and rust as consequence for extending a human life. Rem takes his Death Note and gave it to Misa    Jealous' name is commonly misspelled &quot;Gelus,&quot; which is what his name was romanized to until Death Note: How to Read 13 revealed the official spelling as Jealous. The first through fourth printings of Volume 4 of the English-language manga refers to him as Gelus.    Ken'ichi Matsuyama, who portrayed L in the live action films, voices Jealous in the anime. Jealous is one of the few left handed characters in the show.

Genma Saotome is very much like his son, [Ranma.](https://anilist.co/character/668/Ranma-Saotome) He is somewhat arrogant when it comes to his martial arts abilities, which he rarely showcases due to cowardice or laziness. It was Genma that took Ranma to Jusenkyo. Because he was unable to read the pamphlet, which was in Chinese, he had no idea of the curses that existed there. 
When splashed with cold water Genma transforms into a panda. When in this form, he uses signs with written messages on them to communicate. Although he often tries to rid himself of his curse, he doesn't seem to mind it as much as Jusenkyo's other victims. Tatewaki Kuno is an upperclassman at Furinkan High and was the big man on campus &ndash; at least until Ranma came along. Hailing from a very wealthy family, he is also captain of the kendo club and wields both his fortune and sword with equal ease. Given to spouting off Shakespearesque poetry (he quotes Confucius in the Japanese original), he is madly in love with Akane. He also falls for Ranma&rsquo;s female half and never realizes that she is really his mortal enemy in girl form. He once overhears her called by name, and attempts to write it down for future reference, but never makes a connection and continues to refer to her as a &quot;goddess in pig-tails&quot; for the entire series. He is a tidy, hard-working wise-cracker, who has an innate gift for financial matters. Never without his shop-apron, he can spruce up a room in minutes and not miss a chance to amuse others with one-liners along the way. Howdy lives in a convenience store. 

Boss is a short-tempered field-hamster; he has no owner. He likes to be in control of things, and is a self-appointed leader. He is very much in love with Bijou, and often tries to win over her heart. Boss is gruff but he has a big heart.

Elderly Ryuuzan Arai is a a fengshui master and Shinto priest. He was at one time a teacher to Yuuya Daigo, and is comrades with the Kisaragi clan. Master Arai also trains and supports the Oribe twins, and the girls report to him about the supernatural occurances happening within the city.    He is first seen in episode one fighting Tendou Kodzunu, who refers to him as &quot;Mr. Eyebrows&quot;. Ryuuzan Arai is one of few remaining that knows the true history of the Kodzunu clan during the Bakumatsu.    At one time, Arai&#039;s Star of Fate had him fighting against Munetaka Yagyuu, and he was one of the men to seal away the evil. The others included his friend Doushin Narasaki, Genma Hiyuu, and Tatsuma&#039;s martial arts master. Since then, Arai has also been protecting Tokyo against demons and the Dark Arts. Now he tries to guide the Magami Five in succeeding where he inevitably did not.

The captain of Magami High School's Wrestling Club and an excellent cook. Yuuya also happens to have a crush on Komaki and he is constantly seen cooking big meals for her.
