A karate master and head of the shinshinkai-kan.One of the only people in the world able to stand toe-to-toe with Yujiro. He whips his students into shape by fighting them regularly, and practices all of his karate techniques at least one thousand times daily. A very devoted karate practitioner, and a mentor of Baki&#039;s. Also the instructor of Katou and father of Katsumi. He fought Yujiro, who gouged his eye out and killed him. However, Doppo was revived by Kureha. He eventually fights the escaped American convict Dorian in the &#039;Search of our Strongest Hero&#039; manga series. Dorian manages to cut off Doppo&#039;s hand with a strange wire-cutting technique in which he uses a wire blade projected from a lighter. Doppo later avenges this loss when he, Katsumi, and Retsu track Dorian down. Shortly after this however, Dorian escapes from the hospital and uses an explosive that is implanted into his hand to blow off part of Doppo&#039;s face. O the Bounts, the antagonist race in the Bount arc.     Sawatari seems to be the oldest Bount, but this is merely a by-product of his eating habits. He has been consuming living souls for far longer than any other Bount, causing him to age. He wears a black suit, with a light purple garment underneath.     When fighting, Sawatari seems to think of his opponents as mere children, similar to Shigekuni Yamamoto-Genryūsai. But he seems to be power-hungry like the rest of his tribe, and wanted to overthrow Kariya as leader of the Bounts. 

Bouquet's shadow is Hippopotamus. Hippopotamus may be weak and somewhat cowardly, but he has the ability to shapeshift, sometimes using that ability by wrapping around Bouquet to provide her with a disguise. Hippopotamus later gains the ability to copy the attacks that he is hit by. In the second series, he and Bouquet have been given the ability to merge with Blue Dragon or Saber Tiger to provide armor and make them appear in near-full form. He encourages Fairy Tail to do what they feel is right, but he has shown some concern that Natsu, Erza, and Gray will someday level a whole town. His magical abilities include Titan magic, giving him the ability to grow his body parts gigantic and his body into a giant-sized version of himself, and can control various other forms of magic including fire, ice and wind, which give him an immense magical power. The members of his guild affectionately refer to him as Ji-san or grandpa. Makarov also sees all of his guild members as his own children and will do anything to protect them. He has a perverted side, shown when he states he wishes to be smashed by Lucy's breasts and subsequently spanks her many times as a punishment.  

Given his advanced age, he considers retirement, but considers Laxus as too uncaring, Gildartz impossible for some unknown reason, Mystogan as too reclusive, and Erza as too young and brash to succeed him as guild master. After hearing the damages made by the team Erza-Lucy-Grey-Natsu-Happy from Mirajane, he cried that it's impossible to retire by now.

He took Kumiko in after her parents died. Though crime rookies might believe he is a man of little importance due to his yakuza branch only having a few members, he is actually highly respected in the underworld.

Shouda is another elderly teacher at the art institute that every attends, Shouda is Yamada&#039;s supervising instructor and an extremely avid admirer of her work, along with her Iron Lady fans. He is especially impressed with Yamada&#039;s graduation project, a beautifully thrown and large bowl, to point of weeping tears of joy and expresses the same reaction when she creates a similar and equally large bowl post-graduation. After Yamada graduates, she decides to continue studying with Shouda as a post-graduate student until she can find a job.

Head coach and founder of the Kamogawa gym. He fought as a prizefighter in Japan shortly after the end of World War II. Along with his friends, Ginpachi Nekota and Dankichi Hama, Kamogawa developed a style of fighting that both presumably became the forerunner of boxing in Japan and emphasized scientific theory in its techniques. As a coach, Kamogawa&#039;s wealth of knowledge and experience has been tapped into on multiple occasions during training as well as in matches. Although he rarely admits it aloud, he is extremely proud of his two best boxers, Takamura and Ippo.

Mikado Sanzen'in is Nagi's grandfather and the head of the Sanzen'in family. He lives in a mansion much bigger than Nagi's mansion with many servants(who are all same-looking). It is unknown where the Sanzen'in fortune comes from but Nagi calls her grandfather an oil tycoon. He has the ability to judge a person's character just by looking at them.  Even though Mikado is Nagi's only direct relative, they don't get along. Nagi dreads on going to the main house to visit him. As a result, Mikado is not seen after his first appearance. However, it is obvious that he worries for her when he tries to stop the assassination/kidnapping attempts and pushes them onto Hayate when he announces that he will pass the Sanzen'in inheritance to the person who makes Nagi cry and beg for forgiveness and later changed, with the help of Maria who he is fond of, to get rid of the butler first.

Zeno Zoldyck is Killua's grandfather and Silva's father. A witty old man, his advancing age has not dampened his quick thinking and speed in battle. Zeno wears alternating signs on his garb that say either "A Kill A Day" or "Never Retire." He appears to be on good terms with the Hunter Committee's Chairman, Netero, who hired Zeno to assault Ming Jol-ik's palace in East Gorteau in order to catch the chimera ant King off guard. Zeno favors Killua more than his other grandchildren, most likely because Killua is the heir of the family.

A yokai-flea who is InuYasha&#039;s source of information. He usually runs away from dangerous situations. He was initially charged with protecting the remains/gravesite of InuYasha&#039;s father which held the Tessaiga. The Grave was hidden inside the black pearl in InuYasha&#039;s right eye and was opened during his first run-in with his elder brother, Sesshoumaru. Myoga also enjoys drinking yokai blood, and actually saves InuYasha&#039;s life at one point by drinking the poison out of his blood. Because of that, he often gets slapped by InuYasha (and sometimes by Kagome too), but never dies from it since he&#039;s immortal.

Tazuna resolved to build a bridge that would connect the Land of Waves to the mainland to help restore its economic stability, which was against Gatō&#039;s interest. He knew that Gatō would try to kill him, but couldn&#039;t afford proper protection. It was because of this that Tazuna hired Team 7 under the false pretense of protecting him from bandits (this was considered a C-rank mission, thus reducing the cost). Unlike most of his fellow citizens, Tazuna was brave enough to defy Gatō&#039;s interests, although he was perfectly aware of the consequences. In honor of Naruto Uzumaki, and for his example of courage, Tazuna named the bridge the &quot;Great Naruto Bridge&quot; after its completion.
