Artemis is the companion to the leader of the Guardian Senshi—he trained [Minako Aino](https://anilist.co/character/2826/Minako-Aino) as Sailor V, and remains by her side when she takes on her proper role as Sailor Venus. His memory of the Silver Millennium seems to be more intact than Luna's—in fact, before appearing in the Sailor Moon series he guides her through the Sailor V video game at the arcade. Later, he fills in the details of her true mission. Artemis is more easy going than [Luna,](https://anilist.co/character/5407/Luna) and has a "big brother" relationship with Minako, although his attraction to her is sometimes implied. He also cares very deeply about Luna, often comforting her when she is distressed and stating his admiration of her. In addition, he is a good father to [Diana](https://anilist.co/character/11899/Diana) as evidenced by her affection for him. Artemis does not seem to mind the fact that he is named after a female goddess, even when teased about it by Minako. 

The man who hosts every Tenka-ichi Budokai from the beginning of Dragon Ball to the end of Dragon Ball Z. He mainly just commentates on the matches, but over the years he has become an acquaintance with the Z Warriors, and knows that they are responsible for saving the Earth. He even says so in one episode that they killed Cell, although it was Son Gohan in actuality that destroyed the villain. He doubts Mr. Satan's abilities, such as in the episode Vegeta goes out of control. In every tournament, aside from the 21st, something bad happens that enhances his role such as in the King Piccolo Saga, he witnessed Kuririn murdered by the Demon King Piccolo's warrior Tambourine and later he becomes very important as he witnesses Son Goku's fight with Piccolo from the sidelines with the others, making him one of the few "civilians" to know the truth.   At the end of Dragon Ball Z, his age starts to show as he is losing hair and has very noticeable wrinkles, but in Dragon Ball GT his descendant's hair remains white. Although he doubts Mr. Satan for being the one who defeated Cell, he praises him in order to make fans cheer.

General Blue is one of the highest ranking members of the Red Ribbon Army seen in the series. 
He possesses special psychic abilities in the form of telekinesis, which can be used to paralyze his opponents or control inanimate objects. This combined with his physical prowess make him one of Goku’s toughest opponents in the series.

Garlic Junior is a demon that appears in Dragon Ball Z: Dead Zone, and was the main villain during a filler saga in the anime. His father was imprisoned by Kami in the realm of darkness, leaving Garlic Jr. with a deep feeling of resentment and desire for revenge. He collects the Dragon Balls and gains immortality. He is defeated when faced with an angry Gohan, who pushes Garlic Jr. into the Dead Zone, an alternate dimension he can freely open. Though defeated, he later reappears in the Garlic Jr. Saga in the gap between the Freeza and Trunks sagas, and battles once more against the combined efforts of Kuririn, Piccolo, and Son Gohan. He uses his power source, the Makyo-sei, to escape the Dead Zone, and uses the Black Water Mist, which causes those who breathed it in to become mindless demon slaves under his rule. He is stopped after Gohan destroys the Makyo-sei, which drains his power, leaving him trapped in the Dead Zone once again.    His resemblance is of a much earlier villain in the series, Pilaf. The two sound and almost look identical to each other, both being cunning villainous dwarves voiced by Chuck Huber and Shigeru Chiba. However, whereas Pilaf is a mere comic relief character, Garlic Jr. is a much more serious and sadistic villain, a clear reflection of the change in the tone of the entire Dragon Ball series as a whole.

Bason is the ghost of an ancient Chinese wujiang who serves Ren faithfully and obeys him without question. In the English manga Bason calls Ren &quot;Master Ren,&quot; while in the Japanese version he calls Ren &quot;Bocchama,&quot; which means &quot;Young Master.&quot; Later he became a valued friend of his young master Ren. His date of birth and blood type are unknown.    

Bason has served the Tao family for several generations and has sworn to serve Ren by any means possible. He carries a kwan dao (a weapon similar to a halberd, but with one curved edge and one straight edge following the line of the handle). In his days as an ancient Chinese warrior, Bason rode into battle on a horse named Hei-Tao; the spirit of Hei-Tao can be integrated into another horse kept by Ren, named B&aacute;i-Feng, to perform the Perfect Re-enactment of the Vorpal Dance. Bason is capable of adding tremendous strength and speed to Ren&#039;s kwan dao, and even making it quite larger, but also uses his body in attacks such as the Golden Punch. In Giant Spirit Form, Bason appears as a gigantic robot capable of launching fireballs.    

Like Ren, Bason appears very cold and cruel at the beginning of the series, however, following interaction with Yoh Asakura, Bason, like his master, begins to soften up and develop a much more pleasant disposition. He feels an overwhelming sense of duty to his master, even breaking down in tears when Ren is imprisoned by his father. While Bason and Amidamaru are very hostile and competitive at first, they soon become friendly rivals.

Called Griff by his friends, he mostly praises Plue and calls him 'Master Plue'. He looks like a strange blue blob, with eyes and arms. He is close to Plue in size but with the ability to speak. Griff has limited shape-shifting abilities; such as inflating portions of his body and elongating his limbs. He is also a voyeuristic character, and in a couple of episodes he is seen spying on Elie. He is the cartographer of the group. He has been described as a pervert.

Professor Birch is the resident Pokémon Professor of Littleroot Town and the Hoenn region. He specializes in Pokémon habitats and distribution.

Kaiza (カイザ) was a traveling fisherman, who came to the Land of Waves to seek opportunities. When he saved Inari from drowning, he took up the young boy to teach him about life and protect the things that were precious to him. He married Tsunami (Inari&#039;s mother) and acted as the role model for Inari. When Gatō tried to take over the Land of Waves, Kaiza tried to stop his business. Adjutant Black  isn't given much of a role in the Dragon Ball series. Soft-spoken and quick-witted, Black carries out Commander Red's orders and informs Red of the current situations with the remaining Red Ribbon officers. It is also worth noting that Black is one of the few black people to appear in Dragon Ball. Overhearing Red's joyful speech about becoming a taller person, Black was appalled, saying that his mad ambition has cost the Army dearly as shown in Goku's invasion, and may eventually lead to its defeat. Red replies it doesn't matter how many soldiers he risks as long as he reaches his goal, and makes it clear that he is just a lackey, and is as the rest of the Red Ribbon Army, expendable. Angered, Black then shot Red in the head with his pistol, killing him instantly. In the anime, Goku was offered a position in Black's new army — the Black Ribbon Army — which Goku refused. Goku killed Black after he tried to kill him in a robotic suit.
