She's a second-year student at Pikarigaoka Middle School and is in the same class as [Hime](https://anilist.co/character/87924/Shirayuki-Hime) and [Yuko](https://anilist.co/character/87927/Oomori-Yuuko). Megumi is energetic, and has a big heart that is always looking for others' well-beings. She loves to help out and when she finds someone troubled or feeling sad, she steps in to lend them a hand without hesitation. She is bold and brave, and keeps an upbeat attitude that helps lighten other's moods better. She can be clumsy at times, and while she admires fashion, her own sense of it was initially considered to be rather numb.

All around the world, Pretty Cures have been fighting against the invasion of an enemy known as Saiark. Shirayuki Hime, the princess of Blue Sky Kingdom, is a Pretty Cure; but unable to defeat the enemy alone, she falls behind the others, and ends up in a bad situation. 
On her quest to find a partner, she meets Aino Megumi (Cure Lovely), and the two join forces to battle the enemy together. They learn that by assembling all PreCards, you can get any one wish fulfilled, and they team up with the fairy Ribbon to protect world peace, transform, and dress up as they fight!

Born of a Japanese father and a Filipino mother, Megumi was brought up in a "house filled with music" and grew up with the desire to sing.  In 2003, she participated in the "Self Stardust Promotion" contest and passed, thereby affiliating her to the agency. In 2007, she auditioned to the Victor Entertainment sanctioned "Victor Vocal & Voice Audition" and won the role to voice Ranka Lee in Macross Frontier.  She is also the voice provider for the Vocaloid, [Megpoid](https://anilist.co/staff/140519).

She is affiliated with Stay Luck for voice acting and FlyingDog for singing.

The film’s story is set in the Doll Kingdom where dolls dwell. In the story, the Pretty Cures are watching a doll play about to start, when the dolls suddenly start talking. “Please rescue our kingdom!” the ballerina named Tsumugi says, and she leads the Pretty Cures to the Doll Kingdom. There, the Pretty Cures thought they would be surrounded by cute stuffed animals, but instead they find a mysterious man named Black Fang who is attacking the kingdom, and he captures Tsumugi. The country normally filled with happiness is hiding a sad secret, and the Pretty Cures must help save the day.

A spring carnival held in the country of dance and song, Harmonia, is beginning. Haruka Haruno and her friends also join the festival to learn dance and song from their senior Pretty Cure warriors. However, the fairies go missing, and the carnival is thrown into confusion. Even worse, the announcers Odoren and Utaen seem extremely suspicious, and the guardian dragon of Harmonia has started a rampage, angry at the chaos at the carnival. In order to protect the peace of Harmonia, the 40 Pretty Cure warriors work together to create a miracle through dance and song filled with hope.

Hime Shirayuki, a princess from the Blue Sky Kingdom, which was taken over by the Phantom Empire, joins the fight as a Pretty Cure named Cure Princess, but always finds herself running away scared.
 
Given a Crystal of Love by the Spirit of Earth, Blue, and told to seek out a partner to fight alongside her, Hime goes to the city of Pikarigaoka and recruits Megumi Aino, a kind-hearted girl always looking to help others, who will to fight by her side as Cure Lovely. Using the power of the PreCards and their changing forms, alongside Cure Honey and Cure Fortune, they form the HappinessCharge PreCure team as they are given the task to collect all of the PreCards and defend the Earth against the Phantom Empire.

The film's story will revolve around the power that lies in the tears that the Precures hide. The video reveals that the Precures' tears have the power to end the world, and so the Precures must not cry no matter what. The Precures will fight in the world of song and magic to protect their tears.
