Ever since she gave Muromi-san and Sumida-san coconuts to drink after their nights of over-drinking, she has been a good friend of the mermaids. She gives Muromi-san and Yeti shells she found on the beach as keepsakes.

One day, Mukoujima Takurou, a boy in high school who loves fishing, catches a pig tailed mermaid called Muromi-san who speaks in the Hakata dialect. She comes to visit Takurou often, along with her fellow mermaids Sumida-san, Fuji-san, Levia-san, Hii-chan, and even some other fantastical creatures such as Yeti and Harpy!<br>

She was discovered in 81 Produce's 3rd Seiyuu Audition in August, 2009, becoming one of the seven finalists amongst 1,109 who took initially part and won the excellence prize in the end. She made her debut in a minor role for the anime [Sasameki Koto](https://anilist.co/anime/6203).

The manga revolves about a mermaid named Muromi, her travels and her quirky personality. She speaks with a Hakata dialect and she thinks sea water fish are better than freshwater fish. She has a sweet tooth and loves sake. She's also said to have been living for thousands of years (although she has the appearance of a teenage girl with a fishtail).<br><br>
Join Muromi on her adventure, as she gets caught in high school student Takuro Mukojima's fishing nets, as she meets more friends, new and old, and enjoy their weird but hilarious conversations. Or, you could just watch her bother Takuro on his fishing days with lame gags, just for laughs
