Taruru used to be Tamama's apprentice, and still calls him &quot;master,&quot; or &quot;senpai,&quot; meaning his superior, Taruru was more clumsy than Tamama in the past. Taruru was a blue Keronian tadpole who's symbol is an orange and yellow raindrop shaped emblem, the mark of an &quot;old driver&quot; in Japan, but he matured faster, in his appearance in volume 10/episode 101, he had adult features instead of tadpole features. Taruru first appeared to see if all the rumors about the Keroro Platoon was true, revealing what Tamama told him about the platoon. In the anime he also appeared a couple of times with his childhood friend Karara, forming a duo of mischievous tadpoles. Despite Taruru's clumsiness in the past, he had become very skilled when training in the Garuru Platoon and has skills that exceeded Tamama's, defeating him in a face-off. He then captures Momoka and Paul, then later on also captures Mois. After Keroro encourages his platoon to rise Tamama, after receiving power from the Super Rhinocerous Beetle, returns for a rematch and Taruru is defeated.  Source - Wikipedia

Keroro is a frog-like alien sent from his home planet on a mission to conquer Earth. But when his cover is blown, his battalion abandons him and he ends up in the home of the Hinata family. There, he's forced to do household chores and sleep in a dark basement that was once supposedly a prison cell haunted by the ghost of an innocent girl. He even spends his free time assembling Gundam model kits. During his stay, Keroro meets up with subordinates who were also stranded during their failed invasion.

Sergeant Keroro is the Captain of the Space Invasion Forces Special Advance Team of the 58th Planet of the Gamma Storm Cloud System, sent to the planet Pokopen (aka Earth) to collect intelligence for his planet's invasion force. He is also a frog. After his ship crash-lands in the planet earth, he takes shelter in the Hinata household, but the two kids, Fuyuki and Natsume, find him and take away his alien weapons. When his people discover that the Pokopenians are aware of him, Keroro is abandoned - left to fend for himself in this hostile world.
