An outgoing and daring girl with a forceful personality and the show's main protagonist. She is best friends with Vanilla and the daughter of the late witch Cinnamon.

She is not as popular as Vanilla since her outrageous temper makes most boys scared of her. In the Magical World, she lives with her grandfather, Corne, a powerful wizard who, like Chocolat, has a certain dislike for Blanca and has a bad temper. As the series progresses, she begins to fall in love with Pierre, although it is forbidden for witches to allow their hearts be stolen by humans.

Chocolat Meilleure and Vanilla Mieux are two witches who are pitched in a contest to see who will become the new Queen of the Witch World. They must travel to the Human World and collect the hearts of humans. Whoever collects the most "human hearts" wins. Even though they're rivals, the two are still best friends. Join them on this adventure!

Marika Matsumoto is an actress, talent and seiyuu. From 2001-2003, she was known as "Mini Stop-chan", acting as the mascot for the Mini Stop convenience store chain commercials in Japan. She is the owner of a unique voice and has held a recital with upcoming star Satoshi Tsumabuki. Since November 12, 2005, she has been on the A&G Radio Show: Anisupa! segment Anisupa Kōnin Akujo Queen. She was also the seiyuu for Rikku in Final Fantasy X and X-2.

Little witch-girls Chocolat and Vanilla are best friends, but only one of them can be Queen of the Magic World. To determine who deserves the title, they must go to the Human World and enter a strange competition. Whoever attracts the most human boys... wins! 
Here's how it works: When a boy falls for a witch-girl, she utters a few mystic words and the boy's heart will be hers in jewel-like form. It may sound simple, but winning hearts is tricky business. While Chocolat had no problem enticing witch-boys with her forthright personality, human boys seem to be drawn to shy and modest girls like Vanilla. And to make matters worse, Chocolat is finding herself increasingly drawn to the cool and mysterious Pierre-who feels nothing for her!
