Born into a wealthy family, Rei had lessons in all sorts of activities in which she showed the most talent at piano. She felt oppressed living the life her parents had prepared for her, but didn't have the courage to make a change. When she met [Rinku](https://anilist.co/character/168296/Rinku-Aimoto) unexpectedly, change began to brew inside her.

Rei is noted to be skilled in songwriting, and the music [Maho](https://anilist.co/character/168297) develops often stems from melodies created by Rei.

Having moved back to Japan from abroad, Rinku Aimoto transfers to Yoba Academy where DJing is popular. She is deeply moved by a DJ concert she sees there, and decides to form a unit of her own with Maho Akashi, Muni Ohnaruto, and Rei Togetsu. 
 
While interacting with the other DJ units like Peaky P-key and Photon Maiden, Rinku and her friends aim for the high stage!

Kanon is a voice actress from Tokyo. She made her debut in 2018 as the new voice for Rinko Shirokane and keyboardist in the band [Roselia](https://anilist.co/staff/153170/Roselia), replacing Satomi Akesaka, as part the BanG Dream! project. Kanon played the piano for 12 years prior to joining the project. 

She also has a talent for singing, with her vocal key ranging from E3 to G5, and her falsetto (whistle voice) key to be at E6. Her hobbies include watching movies and listening to music, and her skills include singing, playing the keyboard, classical ballet, and calligraphy. She also has a younger sister with whom she doesn't get along well with.

D4DJ Double Mix is a self-contained special episode centering around the groups Merm4id and RONDO. 

"D4 FES.", a DJ festival that has been described as legendary, was relaunched, and Merm4id's long-cherished wish to participate came true. Marika Mizushima, Saori Hidaka, and Dalia Matsuyama are concerned about the unusual behavior of Rika Seto during the swimsuit photo shoot. Meanwhile, RONDO's Tsubaki Aoyagi is alone in the chapel, indulging her hopes for the future how their world will be expanded.
 
One day, after a live concert at the clubhouse ALTER-EGO, Rika rushes into Tsubaki's place where she is with Nagisa Tsukimiyama, Hiiro Yano, and Aoi Miyake. She, who overcomes everything with luck and charm in order to enjoy life, makes a surprising proposal.
