Middle school students fought fiercely against one another in a national tournament. Now, 50 chosen representatives return to fight again as high school students! 
The stage is the U-17 (Under Seventeen) Japanese Representative Training Camp. Middle school students have been invited for the first time to a camp known to produce the best Japanese tennis players. National champions from Seigaku, Hyotei, Rikkai, Shitenhoji... With all the rivals from the national tournament attending, everyone eagerly awaits their reunion. 
At first, the middle schoolers do not expect much from their high school opponents. However, the training camp is not so easy! Athletes with skills incomparable to those they previously faced and their mysterious coach appear before them. Faced with numerous demanding challenges, can the middle schoolers survive in this meritocratic training camp?

Aaron is an American voice actor who works for anime series of Funimation Entertainment.  He started voice acting when he was nine years old as the voice of Hiro Sohma and the young Akito Sohma in Fruits Basket. He was only twelve years old when he voiced the role of Alphonse Elric in Fullmetal Alchemist, and is a cousin of voice actor and director Justin Cook. Aaron was one of few child voice actors in the voice acting field.  Due to his voice maturing, he was replaced by Maxey Whitehead for his role of Alphonse Elric in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, but makes a cameo as the voice of the young Van Hohenheim, Edward and Alphonse's father.

Seigaku continues through the Nation tournament. Now they are up against the strongest team in the tournament, Rikkaidai.

The National Tournament continues for Ryouma Echizen and the Seishun Academy Boys' Tennis Team as they face off against last year's semifinalist, Shitenhouji Middle School. As winners of the Kansai Regionals, Shitenhouji is one of the top contenders to win this year's tournament. What's more, each member of the Shitenhouji team has skills that are said to surpass their Seishun counterparts. Shitenhouji also has Kintarou Tooyama, another "super rookie" who rivals Ryouma in strength and technique. Seishun will have to push the limits of their abilities to stand a chance at defeating the Kansai champions in this East versus West matchup.

Ryoma Echizen just joined the Seishun Academy's tennis team, which is known for being one of the most competitive teams in Japan. Its members are incredibly talented, gifted, and athletic. With rigorous and extremely intense practices, the upperclassmen of the team expect the very best from themselves and they expect even more from the new members of the team. While most of the freshmen are on pins and needles hoping they won't get cut from the team, Ryoma Echizen is confident, cool, and collected. Some might even say he's cocky, but at least he's got the skills to back up his attitude. With his virtually unreturnable "twist serve," Ryoma is sure to make the starting team. Join Ryoma and the other first years, as they train hard, make friends, and try to find a place for themselves on the team. And meet Ryoma's cute but chronically shy classmate Sakuno Ryuzaki. In Japan an "All Star Team" is being formed, containing the 50 best tennis players from the entire country.

Short Special releases with the DVDs that takes place before the events of the U-17.

Episode 1: Shiraishi becomes the captain of Shitenhoji Tennis Club. In order to maintain the club, the members have to invite a new member. They try to attract Zaizen's attention by showing him jokes but Zaizen passes them off. 
Episode 2: Ryoma is told Seigaku's seven ghost stories by Momoshiro. They are quite common stories but the third grade members leave the club room in a hurry. Fuji says "It's time to confide this to you." and he begins to tell what he experienced two years ago.

The story of the OVA series tells the continuation of the 13-episode TV anime in 2012, setting in the Japanese U-17 (under 17) High School Representatives Selection Camp.
