A year has gone by since the Blue Clan SCEPTER 4 has disbanded and the Red Clan HOMRA took over as the unofficial go-to people for dealing with the underground community. Lately, the stress of having to constantly keep his destructive power under control is causing the Red King Mikoto Suoh to become unstable.
 
Meanwhile, Reisi Munakata is chosen by the Dresden Slate to become the new Blue King. Believing this to be his true calling, Munakata uses his newfound power and skill as king to rebuild SCEPTER 4. Munakata then turns his attention to HOMRA and Mikoto Suoh, whom he believes pose a risk to the safety of the world.
 
When the two young kings cross paths for the first time, a new battle begins in the story of the seven kings…

Over a decade ago, a clash between the Red King Genji Kagutsu and Blue King Jin Habari led to what would later become known as the Kagutsu Incident—a catastrophic disaster that wiped out a portion of eastern Japan, claiming over 700,000 lives, including that of the two kings.
 
Years later, Goki Zenjo, former right-hand man to Jin Habari and a survivor of the incident, returns to work for SCEPTER 4, now under the command of Reisi Munakata, the new Blue King. However, Zenjo is still having difficulties accepting Munakata as his new king.
 
One day, Munakata requests that Zenjo personally train a young new recruit named Takeru Kusuhara, insisting that his teachings will become crucial to the future of SCEPTER 4.

Sukuna Gojo is a boy who ran away from his wealthy home after becoming disgusted by his controlling parents. Since then, he’s been surviving alone on the streets using an SNS app called JUNGLE, which grants its user unnatural power and abilities.
 
One day, Sukuna comes into contact with the founder of JUNGLE, the Green King Nagare Hisui.
 
Wanting to learn more about the mysterious Green King, Sukuna decides to climb up the ranks of JUNGLE so that he can meet Hisui in person. But in order to reach the highest rank, Sukuna must defeat the most powerful user in JUNGLE.

Tatara Totsuka, the only clansman capable of keeping the destructive power of the Red King, Mikoto Souh, in check wants to do something special and film a video for Anna's birthday. 
 
Meanwhile, the new Colorless King sets his plan to devour the other kings in motion...

Adolf K. Weismann is sharing a peaceful meal with his loved ones, while Misaki Yata is having a blast hanging out with his HOMRA buddies. Elsewhere, Seri Awashima is working diligently to carry out her duties as SCEPTER 4, and Sukuna Gojo runs across the battlefield to fulfill the dream of JUNGLE. But as the days go by, something starts to feel off about the events that are going on in this world and the people bound to it.
