Digimon Adventure:  Etemon was the first major foe other than Nanomon the Chosen Children had to battle with after their arrival at the Server Continent. With the help of his Dark Network, it was able to monitor everything which happens in its territory.  ~!In the end, it fused with the Dark Network and was defeated due to Greymon evolving to MetalGreymon. However, it was revived as MetalEtemon due to its own will power but was ultimately defeated by Zudomon's Hammer Boomerang and SaberLeomon.!~  Digimon Xros Wars:  Some Etemon serve Musyamon in the Shinobi Zone. They pretend to be Shoutmon's fans in order to find the Code Crown.

Seven kids are transported to the Digital World, a strange place where digital creatures called "Digimon" reside. A group of Digimon soon befriend them and keep the kids out of harm's way. The children then discover they are the Chosen Children, which protect the Digital World from evil Digimon like Devimon and Vamdemon.

It's the year 2020. The Network has become something humans can no longer do without in their daily lives. But what humans don't know is that on the other side of the Network is the Digital World, a realm of light and darkness. Nor are they aware of the Digimon who live there. 
 
Widespread Network difficulties arise, centered around the Tokyo area. Traffic signals blink chaotically, public outdoor TVs display garbled text, and so on. The news reports it as a case of cyberterrorism. 
 
Fifth grader Taichi Yagami stayed home by himself to get ready for a weekend summer camp, but his mother and little sister Hikari went to Shibuya, and now they're aboard a runaway train. Seven kids at summer camp are unexpectedly transported by 'digi-vices' to a colorful and enigmatic world. Lost and alone, they are befriended by small digital monsters, Digimons.
